Savoir
Savoir indicates deep knowledge of something.
So it is usually abstract.
Example: Je sais ce morceau de musique.
(I have learned it, memorized it, I can play it)
Savoir is used by itself to answer a question.
Example: O est Sophie?
Je ne sais pas.
Savoir is used with an infinitive verb. In this case
it means having the capacity of doing something,
knowing how to.
Example: Je ne sais pas nager.
Savoir is used with qui, que, comment, pourquoi,
quand, quietc

Connatre
Connatre means you are acquainted with the
existence of something, but you dont have a deep
knowledge of it. It is a more superficial, concrete
knowledge.
Example: Je connais ce morceau de musique.
(I know this music piece exists, I have heard
about it, I am familiar with it, but I cannot play it).
Connatre is usually followed by a noun.
Connatre is never used with a verb.
Connatre is used with a person.
Example: Je connais ce musicien.
Connatre is used with places.
Example: Tu connais Paris?
