Aim of Lesson:
Students to learn different types of separation techniques

Learning Objectives Assessment of Objectives

Pupils will:
1. Know what a mixture is (level 3/4) Class Discussion, Demo, self-assessment, Carousal activity, pair
2. Understand different separation techniques (level 5) assessment, group assessment, Questioning, think pair share, plenary.
3. Be able to apply different separation techniques to different examples
of mixtures (level 6)

Cross curricular expectations (Literacy, numeracy, citizenship):

Collaborative working, fill in the blanks (literacy)

Differentiation and role of additional adults if applicable:

Activities are colourful for visual learners, prompts provided in questioning, Extension for G&T. Carousel activity caters for VAK learners.
