As per ASNT SNT-TC-1A - 2006 Recommended Qualification Hours for Initial Training and Experience
TRAINING LEVEL-1: 8 HOURS LEVEL-2: 16 HOURS TOTAL: 24 HOURS
EXPERIENCE LEVEL-1: 70 HOURS LEVEL-2: 140 HOURS TOTAL: 210 HOURS

COURSE OBJECTIVES COURSE CONTENTS

technology related to visual inspection
2. Physiology of vision
c. Understanding the need for documentation
in welding 3. Fundamentals of Imaging
4. Visual Weld testing practices
d. Familiarity with codes and standards related
to inspection requirements 5. Effect of fatigue
e. Carrying out inspection of parent materials 6. Fibre optic Bore scopes
and consumables 7. Documentation of visual testing
f. Perform visual inspection of welds, 8. Analysis of visual testing
report on them and assess their
compliance with specified acceptance VT Level 2 - Practical Training
