- The teaching competency I need to work on is having all the students engaged in the lesson.

- Ill use picture cards and have a change in tone whilst speaking, I will also ask questions.

3. Describe how you can tell if youre achieving your goal (Evidence)
- I can tell Im achieving my goal when all the students participate in the lesson and join along with
the singing.

Introduction (warmer activity + teacher active engagement)

I will start the lesson by the hello super simple song, the students and I will follow the video and
sing along. I will have all students fold their legs and sit on the mat, and then ask how everyone is.

I will remind them that I am Miss Aisha and that I am going to be teaching them English, I will go
over a brief revision of the letter they learned before (a). Then I will start introducing the letter t,
I will show them a teddy bear and ask them to say t t teddy bear. I will ask what colour is the teddy
bear? Who has a teddy bear in their house? Is it a big one or a small one? I will point to the TV
and ask, what is this? Its a TV teee veee. Then Ill ask, do you like watching TV? What do you
like to watch? I will then show them a card with a tiger on it and ask, can anyone tell me what this
animal is? Its a t t tiger! What sound does the tiger make? Oh you are all like tigers Im so scared!
You know the teddy bear also likes to watch TV, he likes to see the tiger. Where is the tiger now?
(I will take out card with the tiger on the TV) OH the tiger is on the TV! Then I will sing tiger on
the TV t t t three times with the students joining along then sing skip to my lou my darling. I will
hang the cards on the wall with the letter t on top to have students remember it. I will introduce a
few more flash cards with things that start with the letter t lile truck, tomato, turtle. I will ask
them to say what animal they see, then ask them to see how I write the t and guide them into
writing it in the air, then I will point at the letter t and say lets say the sound of the letter all

to them, with coloured pencils.

High: Students will trace the letter t stencil with a glue stick, then decorate it with the provided
materials.

I will ask them what letter they learned and if they can give me any words that start with the letter

t. Then Ill have them say t, t, t a few times to ensure that theyve learned it. Ill end the lesson
by asking them to line up (if its snack time).
