Total time :- 1 hr
Section A:- 35 questions (General English) -Scoring

Section B:- 20 questions Series (Number and Diagram series) -Tough
Section C:- 20 questions Quatitatve Aptitude(All questions from R.S.Aggarwal )
There is no strict time limit on each section.You can start from any section.
There is negative marking of .25, remember it is clearly mentioned in the booklet that there is negative marking and
suddenly one person came and told that there is no negative marking, but at the end other person came and
announced that there is negative marking and previous announcement was just to divert you,so remember
that there is negative marking
Test Pattern.
The paper was divided into 6 sections and each section had to be completed in
10 min.You cannot move forwards backwards. After every 10 min.
Section 1 : Quantitative Maths 10th level maths, the type of ques that come in CAT
exams.
Age problem,time & speed,simple trigonometry,algebra,mensuration,time & work,
profit &loss, percentage.
Section 2 : Logical Reasoning ques based on series, coding, blood relations ,

analogy
Section 3 : English Usage & verbal logic Parajumbles, antonym-synonyms,

analogy You need to have a good vocabulary for this section.
Section 4 : Data Interpretation There were three sets of problems based on
pie chart,
Section 5 : Reading Comprehension7 mins were given to read the passage and 3
mins for answering the questions. you are not allowed to turn back to the
passage while answering the ques.
Section 6 : Logic There were 2 flowcharts and some questions based on them.
it was the easiest section and all the questions in this section could be
attempted correctly.
There were total 80 questions that had to be attempted in 60 mins. The main
thing to remember was 1:1 negative marking. So attempt only what you know.
Interview
It was supposed to be a two phase process -- one technical interview and one
HR interview , but the focus in both interview was HR only. Even during
technical interview mostly HR based ques.

HI Friends.......i am nikhil srivastava recruited from RKDFist- bhopal by Tech Mahindra(MBT).I

am a third year student of Information Technology. Here i am trying
to narrate my experience which gives an idea about the selection process of the company...
Criteria is (60% throughout in 10th, 12th, and in BE/BTech)......
They have recruited around 45% students that have been sitted.....
There were generally three rounds...
1) Aptitude test...(includes aptitude+verbal reasoning+non-verbal reasoning+comprehension(gre
type))
2) Technical interview(HR+technical)
3) HR round
APTITUDE TEST:It consisted of 5 sections each with atleast 10 questions while one or two
sections contained 20 questions.There were altogether 75 questions which u have to answer in 1
hr only(remember time is very very imp in this round).The sections were:
a) Verbal reasoning and analytical
b) Non verbal reasoning and analytical
c) MCQ-questions based on English grammar(very easy)
d) English comprehension( Do it at last..coz it consumes time)
ThOrough prep from RS Aggarwal(verbal,non-verbal,quantitave) is enough to pass the aptitude

test besides having minimum base in english.
Anyway the result was declared within 40 mins and luckily I was selected.

bt I had got it 4m freshersworld ,NEGATIVE MARKING IS THERE..
Time :1 hour.abt 70-80 ques.

1. Aptitude was easy but you need to be quite sure with short cut formulaes...profit n loss(short
cuts in rs agg)
percentage,mensuration,algebra,simple trigonometry, sum of series n nth term type.., time n
speed, age problem,
2. Series completion was asked in many questions( not as easy as R.S.aGGARWAL)

Series were like time see this one...

20 ques,, i took most of the time in this section b'coz of series... series were mostly on time like
things,,there were easy ones also...like squares..
3. I completed 10 questions here in 5 minutes..

correct form of tenses..
correct use of prepositions
at: used with small towns, villages
in: big cities, provinces, countries..
we often make mistakes with tenses n prepositions b'coz we hav got out of schools where time
was given on grammar things...i would say that even a good school time grammar book can
suffice for this section..
4. word meanings--synonyms,,antonyms etc..

as i was preparing for tcs exam, i was going through barrons..that was easy...sentence correction
questions also..
5.I thought that there wud be comprehension, we were told outside by previous slot students that
" 10 questions based on paragraph"
so thought to deal with at last.
but i got only 7 mins with this section
thank God that comprehension was easy
in this 10 questions like fill ups were given which really helped me to go thru this only in 5
mins....
There WAS Sectional cut off this way

1.combined sectional cut off for section 1n 2..(maths n reasoning section )
2.combined sectional cut r three english sections...
i managed to attempt atleast 80 pc ques in each section,,,, n i attempted 100pc ques in 2
sections(3 n 1)
So,,,with God's blessings,,,I cleared this one line test...results within 1/2 an hour ..
I was asked to move for my technical interview , I had it after 15 mins,,in which I had to change
too..,, n get prepared mentally..

I was given a form to fill in before goin 2 the interviewee,, general details ,,passport status,,,
career objective,,, n where u see urself succesively in 3 positions after joining(I didn't fill this
section n i think it was a right decision)

Then he said if i hav any probs abroad. I said no.

He asked me to ask him something---- I asked abt his experience in tech mahindra,,, his career from 11
years in different organizations
we discussed the 122pc last quarter growth of tech mahindra..
again with a smile,,, he asked r u open 4 marriage after 2 years...He had been asking abt my plans abt
further studies. I said no, I wish to put my skills n knowledge into work..
Results of technical.... out in 20 mins..... cleared it!!!

i was wrong so i cover up lik this--- i said that i read it 1988 on site,,, if it wud hav been 1986,,,i would
hav remebered it well as i was born in that year,, he said dats y i aske u this as u were born in 1986...i
knew i covered my mistake with this thing
he asked about my hometown --ambala
asked me to prove myself best among few candidates...
prooved it!!
results out in another 1/2 an hour

cleared everything nw,,,was given letter of intent soon..

TECH MAHINDRA INTERVIEW PATTERN AT BHOPAL
Hi friends, my name is Raghvendra Singh Sengar.

I am from U.I.T. - R.G.P.V. Bhopal doing my B.E. in Information technology.
TM was the second company for which I appeared and was selected. Thanks to god.
I will share whole my experience with you all.
TM came open for all colleges, and for nearly 4500 students. Out of which approximately 2500
appeared for the written on-line test, and finally 274 were selected.
The pattern of the paper was quite different from the others. There were 5 sections. 3 were of
English and 2 were of Quant + L.R. There was sectional cut-off for English and Quant. There
were no negative markings.
The paper was quiet simple but a little bit lengthy.

After the results were declared, we had to report to my college which was 20 Km away from the
college were the written test was held.
I reached my college by 7:00 pm and registered my self for the technical interview. After 15
mins my call came
Some important points to remember while giving the interview.
1. Keep a good smile on your face.
2. Dont answer immediately to the question, think for a while then answer.
3. If you dont know anything just say no. Do not try to fool the HR.
4. Think well and answer because the next question will be from the answers you give (As
I my case).
5. Try give reason and examples with your answers. It gives a good impression.

I: Sir, we will go to the command prompt, and there type the command ipconfig/all.

HR: Then make a program of your choice & you have to explain me every line.
I: Ok Sir, I will make the program of finding the prime numbers in a given range of numbers.
(I take 12-15 mins for the program & then explained to him. Then he gave me a program ).

TECH MAHINDRA PAPER ON 4th NOVEMBER KOLKATA
HI, friendz.I'm Amitava from Kolkata.It was an Off Campus drive for 2006 freshers batch. The
aptitude was not so tough, but the buzzword was 'TIME'...they will give u very little time to do
these.u will be given one hour, and u need to answer 70 questions. There was no negative
marking and sectional cutoff. They announced it prior to the test.So when ur time is almost
exhausted, guessworks will come handy. There were five sections.
Section 1: It was fill in the blanks without any options.it was simple.Just fill in with
prepositions,tenses etc.
Section 2: There were 'choose the most appropriate word'.some small 3-4 line paragraphs will
be given and u will be asked some easy questions on them. SEC 1 & 2 should be attempted
first.It is scoring and one can do these 20 ques in maximum 15 mins.Score definite 20 here and
keep much time for other sections.
Section 3: Comprehension.A paragraph in easy english is given.This should be attempted last.
Sec 3 & 4 consists ( 20 + 20 =40 )ques.So these section is the decider.Try to solve quickly so u
can attempt as much as possible before guesswork.

Section 4: Logical & Analytical Reasoning!! Solve R.S.Agarwal thoroughly.All those series
completion, odd man out, figures, missing no,venn diagram,small puzzles etc etc given.
Section 5: Quantitative and Data Sufficiency.Solve R.S.Agarwal quantitative.Knowledge of
solving Time & work,profit & Loss,average, age problems,percentage,Train ,Speed,
Volume,Area etc will come handy.
They set a high cutoff.Only 29 cleared apti including myself from about 100.
Then in the same day we faced 3 interviews.
They call for technical interview first.It was a panel of two.One was an young man in his 20s,
another was a middleaged man about 40+. They were friendly.They started with .."Tell about
yourself".then as I'm a CS guy, started asking from C,C++,Java.They asked to rate myself in all
those three.I rated.Then they asked to write the code of swapping two numbers using pointer
and witout using temporary variable.I started well,but got a bit confused in the middle.They
helped me.Then command line arguments in C & Java. Polymorphism,abstract class,multiple
inheritance,interface, exceptions, operator/method overloading,overriding,java thread and two
ways of implementation, arrays, stack related basic questions were asked.then they started with
DBMS.At first they started with a unfamiliar question bout DBase.I told i didnt used or ever
saw DBase.then Normalization,3NF,BCNF, referential integrity.They smiled and asked "Lets
get into Oracle." They asked if i know PL/SQL.I said no.They asked wat is subquery and asked

to fetch the salary of the top 3 highest paid employees.It lasted for about 45 minutes.Then they
asked me to wait in a room.
Then after half an hour of anxiety, one person came and called me for HR.This time it wasnt a panel.Only one
middle aged gentleman.He asked me typical HR related questions such as why TM,why should we hire u,
strength,weaknesses,hobbies,semester marks,future plans.He seemed to be very intersted about philately i.e stamp
collecting which i told as one of my hobbies.Asked about how many stamps I have,of which nations,
catalogues,rare stamps, & blah blah.Then asked to wait in the same room again.
Then in 10 minutes they called again.now it was a luxuriously decorated room and I was greeted by an elderly
lady.She asked me about how was the day, about my family,work culture at tech mahindra,pay package etc.Then
asked me "If I select u, will u be able to cope up with immense pressure tat TM training will impart upon u??"
Then asked "r u ready to sign a bond of 2 years??" I replied positively.Then surprisingly asked "O.K.Tell me what
actually a bond is??" I replied "Its an agreement that I wont leave TM for a certain period of time otherwise...".She
interrupted me in the middle and asked "AGREEMENT!!!U r just a kid in the block and using such business
jargons.Its a COMMITMENT .." & blah blah!!Then asked to wait and HR will get back to u. It was 6 in the
evening.I was exhausted and was thinking they will ask "U may leave for the day" as they were asking few other
candidates.
After 5 mins they called me agin and smiled and said"Amitava.now u are one of us.U r selected and u
will have to join Tm by DEC,06." I was so happy.A long 1.5 yr job hunt ended atlast.I am thankful to
God and all my well wishers.When I was getting so depressed tat no one will ever take me, God gifted
me one of the best opportunity.I got thru a company tat many of my friends who cracked campus earlier
would envy.

This is Pawan Agarwal. I was selected in MBT (TechMahindra) on 07/05/2006 through campus
interview. I am a student of 3rd year in the department of Applied Electronics and Instrumentation
Engineering in Siliguri Institute of Technology.
I am going to tell you about the questions asked in the interview round (technical and personal). Before
that let me tell u about the aptitude test.
There were 5 sections- 3 on English and 1 each on verbal and non-verbal ability. In total there were 70
questions to be answered in 60 mins. There were no negative marking & still u have to be very fast. The
test was online.
For the English sections there were questions mainly related to tenses, voices and general English usage.
It was very easy but tricky.
Then were at least 6-7 puzzles from Shakuntala Devi together with series completion (tough one & time
consuming) and quantitative aptitude.
So go through Shakuntala Devi, R.S. Agarwal, Arun Sharma and Muhammad Muneer at least 9-10 times.
For me and some of my friends HR round was held before the technical round.
HR QUESTIONS.
It was a long session of about 30 minutes duration.
1. Tell us something about yourself or your family? Better tell about yourself. Emphasize on your
software knowledge.
2. Being a core electronics student why have you come to software sector? Because software
industry is on the boom and it is one of the largest employer. To get a chance in core sector I
have to wait till the end of 4th year and also there are hardly 3-4 vacancies per company.
3. Can you prove yourself if u get a chance in core sector?
4. How did you prove yourself in the aptitude test?
5. How did you like the MBT aptitude test? Say something positive.
6. What are ur college hours and no. of periods /day?
7. You have come for a software industry. What extra have u done for this? I said I have done a
course in visual basic and diploma in computer application.
8. What extra r u planning to do and why? I said I will doing a course in JAVA after the 6th sem
exams.
9. There is a gap of one year between 12th and B.Tech. Why? Be prepared with some solid
reasons if u have any gap.

It was also a long session of about 35 minutes duration. Try to divert the interviewer to some other
subject if dont know the one asked by him. There is no such question of favorite subject as it used
to be some years back. So now u have to be Jack of all trades, master of none.

I had written the test at MBT and let me be frank about it.
IT IS A TOUGH TEST.
There are around 6 sections and 3 paper sets.

I had got the set 3.
The first section is very time testing, 16 questions in 10 mins.

The second has 10 to be answered in 9 mins.
3rd has 16 in 10 mins and 4,5 have 5 questions in 5 mins and so on and so forth
that the test in all is 55 mins duration.
The cut off is very stringent.
The test has negative marking so if i were you i should not mark any answer as a guess at any time.
MIND YOU DOES NOT MATTER IF YOU DO NOT ANSWER>>>>>>BUT DO NOT GUESS AT
ANY TIME>.
It is a perfectly timed test . And the best thing you can do is practice FLOW CHARTS......................

Next throw the dice again, if prev throw is ==4 take a decision from flow chart,
if prev less than 4 take another decision,
if prev greater than 4 take another decision,
Now in this throw if you get 4, <4 or > 4 take decisions again,,,,,, so on the whole the flow chart is one
full page and has some LABELS Like LABEL 4 and LABEL 3 and so on.,,,,,,,,,,so given from the text
question we have to decode the flow chart and identify what these labels are ...............and in time
too.....!!!
Another flow chart has this balls thing......!!
Take a red, if next yellow ball do this........take another , if now blue do this, if prev yellow do something
else and so on in a full A4 size page. the questions will be same.........identifying the labelled boxes in the
flow chart.............all this to be done in just 10 mins ( some shakuntala devi this !! )
And the rest of the questions are the GRE BARONS type.......10 boys, 10 girl friends , sit right , sit
together and then decode the positions)
One question was common sense, a person goes 10 yards down x lane, left turn, goes 10 yrds y lane, and
so on ............and the last asks "" where was he""? i tried to be supersmart and answered X lane, because
that was where he started isnt it..........I still dont know whether i answered that right or wrong.
The rest of the questions were the CAT type, mixtures, ratio and proportions, trains, etc.
I have an aggregate of 74.34 in ECE, that was good enough for me only for a call letter ( atleast !!! ).
and if any of you want to help me send me openings for freshers !!!!

they ask question from C,c++,java(basic java), OS (tanenbum fundas & unix internals), Computer
networks, DBMS (normalization and other fundas and some part relateed to SQL), and data structre and
algorithms...(sorting searching, treemlink list etc).. u should also expect quest. from yr final semeser
project...
nowadays MOST companies r ALSO asking software engineering and system development life ccycle
related fundas, but i don't know whehter mbt ppl r asking such quest. or not...
now, my query to to ppl who r getting int. calls from mbt... i also appeared in walkin at pune on 19th ,,
and attempted 30 quest. out of 68 with very high accurcy( as i have also gave CAT last year) ...can
anybody give me idea @ my chances for getting int. call.. i have not receive any mail from mbt. mbt have
tell us tht, selected ppl will be informed within 10 days for interview call....

Hello friends...i am a student of B.E. (I.T.) from Atharva college of Engineering --Mumbai. Tech
mahindra came to our college on 25th of September 2008.

Finally selected after Interviews:17
The 1st screening was done by keeping the eligibility criteria as 58%.Those below 58% were allowed to
sit for the exams but even if they cleared the aptitude they were not called for interviews!
The aptitude test was ONLINE!!....The test was reallly simple.....but the main constraint was
TIME!!...we had to solve 100 questions in 60 mins. The procedure to be followed during the test and
various details such as login_id and password were clearly explained when the panel gave their
presentation. There is no Negative marking.So attempt all questions.
For clearing the aptitude R.S aggarwal Quantitave & Verbal -Nonverbal Reasoning should be solved...
The important topics that should be covered from these books are:
==Quantitative: H.C.F.and L.C.M of nos.,Average,Problems on Ages,Percentage,Time and
Work,Alligation or Mixture,Simple Interest, Compound Interest, Clocks, Simplification
==Verbal and Nonverbal: series completion, Analogy,coding-Decoding,Blood Relations, Puzzle
test,Data sufficiency, Logic, Statement-Conlusions,Figure matrix,Odd man Out from Image Series,series
of images.
There are 6 sections

section 1=Nonverbal,
section 2=verbal reasoning ,
section 3=Quantitaive,
section 4,5,6 is English
There is sectional cutoff...but no Upper cutoff. GUI is user friendly.Every section, after attempting should
be saved otherwise the page gets refreshed and all the answers will be lost.we can change the section as
and when we want but the section should be saved.
If u get a good score in ur aptitude or if u are among the Top-3 or 4 students ur technical interview will be
easy.
I was asked general questions .....such as Tell me about urself,Why should i hire u?,What do u know
about Tech Mahindra?,What are ur strengths and weaknesses? Tell me about the Projects that u did...and
the role played by u and other team members .Then i was told to move to the H.R. Round

In the H.R. round the interviewer asked us about our views regarding a general situation.The situation
given to me was that...if i am made the college principal ...what are the 3 things that i would like to
change?...Others were asked about MNS,and issue of north indians coming into Mumbai.
Just be confident ...and if u dont know something ...say u are not sure or say i dont know!Dont bluff.Be
thorough with ur projects and everything that u have mentioned in ur resume!If u have a gap in any of ur
academic years or between the Engineering semesters...u should have a strong reason to support the gap.
Before Tech Mahindra ...i had appeared for 6 other companies...but somehow i couldnt even clear the
aptitude .
So dont lose hope if u are still struggling with the aptitude....its just that..it was not ur day..or something
better is awaiting u!!I want to thank...Freshers World and the students who made it a point to write their
experiences..

Hello friends, I sat for tech Mahindra test on 14 July, 2008.They showed a nice video in their presentation.
After then there was an online aptitude test. Don't worry they will provide all the instructions. Aptitude test
was consist of 6 sections.

1> Non verbal reasoning(35 questions)
2> Verbal reasoning(25 quesions)
3> Quant section(15 ques)
4> English-I consists of fill in the blanks,preposition,etc(10 ques)
5> English-II consists of synonyms,antonym(10 ques)
6> English-III consists of comprehension reading(10 ques).
In all we had to complete 100 ques in 60 min. No negative marking. But sectional cutoff is there. So time
management is very important. First try to attempt three sections of English in 15min.Then attempt non
verbal reasoning for 20 min. Then go for verbal and quant in remaining 25min.Don't try to attempt all
questions. Instead try to clear sectional cut-off first. Then go for remaining ques. Sectional cut-off is not
fixed. During my test ,it was about 60 ques. I attempted 98 questions. After the test results were
announced. Out of 62 students 16 got selected. Then came technical round .My technical round was very
easy. The questions asked were:
1. Tell me something about yourself ?
2. What is normalization?
3. What are the different types of joins ?
4. What is the difference between HTML and DHTML ?
Then he asked
Q. Do u know how much u have scored in aptitude test?
Ans: I told no
Q. Suppose if I would give u 1 mark for each correct answer and no negative marks for incorrect one,
according to you how much u have scored in test?
Ans: (There came a thought to me that whether I have topped in aptitude or what? Because if u will top in
aptitude then interview becomes formality) I told 75
He told ok. Then he said thank u

Within few min results were announced I got selected for HR (Out of 16, 12 cleared technical round)
When I went for HR round ,interviewer asked me
Q. Do u watch movies?
Ans : yes
Q. Which is the latest movie u have seen ?
Ans: Jannat
Q. Explain the story of jannat in 2 min ?
Ans: I explained the story in 1 min, but he insisted me to explain in 2min.So I extended my explanation.
(I was less confident during explanation)
Q.Give me 2 reasons to reject you
Ans. I told weak communication skill and second I don't know

After then results were announced out of 12, 9 cleared finally .I was one of them

Hi friends!!I am Mayur from PES college of Engineering, Mandya. Freshersworld has helped me a
lot in my preparation for my placements. So, I thought of contributing something to this website.
Tech Mahindra visited our campus on 21st July 2008.Out of the 185 students, who were eligible
for the test,37 got short listed for the interviews and 19 got placed.

Luckily, I was one among them.. I would like to share my experiences with you. The cutoff was
60% with one backlog allowed and it was only for CS, IS, EC and EE departments.
The Selection Procedure:

1.Online test:
there were totally 100 questions and the time given was 60 minutes.
The questions were divided into 6 parts.
three of them were English sections. One was for non-verbal reasoning, one was for verbal
reasoning and the other was of quantitative aptitude. There was a sectional cut off for all the
sections. So, don't leave any section.
The paper was easy overall. First attempt the English section. It was very easy. then move on to
the logical and aptitude sections.
In our college, out of 185,37 got selected for the interviews.
2.Interviews:
There were 3 interviews for us:
-HR cum technical interview
-Technical interview
-HR interview
In the first interview, they asked very simple questions such as the stack concept, use of "%d",
use of getch() and the command to drop a table in DBMS.
Please go through the company website. One of the most frequently asked questions is "Why
Tech mahindra?"
So,please tell some facts about TM.
The second interview was the technical interview.

As i had mentioned that DBMS was my subject of interest, he asked me questions about it. He
asked me questions about normalization, RDBMS, trigger and the use of null pointer. So, be
prepared thoroughly in the subject if you mentioned it in your resume. And instead of telling
wrong answers, tell the interviewer that you don't know the answer if you don't have any idea
about the answer.
The third was a pure HR interview.

The first question was "Tell me about your family in brief?"
some other questions were
"Tell me about your hobbies and interests?"
"Are you ready to go to any place specified by us?"
"Why tech mahindra?"
"Why did you choose computer science?"
"What are your short term and long term goals?"
So overall, all the 3 inter views went quite smoothly. The interviewers were quite cool. So, just
be confident and you will definitely make it through.

from the HR carefully before solving the test. Solve all the ques as there is no negative marking.

Try to concentrate on your project. Don't take any tension if you don't have the projects.

Near about 22 candidates cleared the aptitude test.
4. HR was there on April 19,2007 :-

HR :- Tell me about yourself.
Me :- Bla bla.
HR :- How will sell the drinking bottle?
Me :- Done the advertise with full of passion and enthusiasm.
HR :- Two good qualities in you why should I select you?
Me :- Explained my strengths and explained how they are useful to the organisation.
Few of my friends asked to narrate the story or talk on any subject for 2 mins. They were just
checking the confidence and communication in HR. So don't worry about HR.
Please do not call this organisation as MBT otherwise they will kick you out. One of my friend
used the word MBT for this organisation (Tech Mahindra) and have to pay the penality.
After HR round 13 candidates selected for GD. Actually GD was not there. It was just the fun
made by the HR to check how the selected candidates handle the stress. HR panel was quite
impressed by the way we selected candidate handle the stress. After all 13 candidates were
selected in which I found my name 5th from top in selected candidates' list.
I am very much thankful to GOD , my family i.e. mummy ,papa and my sweet sister and my
friends. Atlast but not the least the people who worked directly or indirectly for

This whole section is a bit easy one but prepare these prepositions n verbs .
Now the biggest thing there will b 75 questions in 5 sections n time is 60 minutes.
So please take care of your time .n 1 more thing they told us no negative marking but people
who attempted a limited questions right were selected but who attempt all ques with some
guesses were not selected so now you have to decide what to do .but if u take my suggestion
then just do only those questions where you are sure ya u can also guess but upto a limit n 1
more thing there is sectional cut off ..
Now lastly for written part I will suggest you to do some prep from R.S aggarwal no need of
tension
After the written exam I was one of successful candidate n I was called for technical interview
which was like this

Hello this is Arindam Mitra. I am a 6th semester student now and I am doing my B.Tech in
Electronics and Instrumentation Engg from BITM santiniketan.It was our first on campussing
though our college had arranged for one or two pool campus.
Eligibility criteria was 60% throughout academics.

Around 11.45 a.m., they gave a ppt first, and then there was an online aptitude test. It had 5
sections, 3 on English & 1 on verbal & non-verbal each.
There were 75 questions to be answered in 60minutes.There were 5 parts in it.

a. Logical Reasoning verbal(20 questions)[Go through R.S. Agarwal Logical Reasoning]

b. Logical Reasoning Non-verbal(20 questions)[containing data sufficiency type questions, series
completion etc]
c. English Vocabulary(15 questions)[synonyms, antonyms, phrase replacement etc]
d. English Verbs, Preposition, Punctuation etc (10 questions)
e. English Paragraph(10 questions)
No sectional cutoff is there.
No negative marking is there.
English part was very easy, so friends try to do it first.
But the biggest problem was that there were questions on quanti in the non-verbal n verbal part,
so dont get confused. As there were no negative marking answer all of them. Look for the most
common answer in the part you have answered or for a sequence in the paper, and mark
accordingly.
But most important is--- U HAV TO PLAN & MANAGE TIME AS IT IS MOST CRUCIAL.
Though they didn't declare the cut-off officially, U HAV TO SCORE AROUND 50 to 60 to
clear the apti.
Results were declared around 3.30 p.m. . . .Only 22 were selected of 94 students. Next were
asked to fill a form and were waiting for the
Technical interviews. Common questions were::::

2. What r ur current n last semester papers?
3. Tell me about diode.
4. Explain Capacitor with figure.
5. What gates do u know? Why they are called gates?NOT,NOT,EXNOR,FLIP-FLOP,Truth
tables, combinational ckts.
6. Prepare C.V well, lots of questions from it.
7. Learn C and Data Structure as well as possible. CSE n IT students be careful about C++,
DBMS, OS n any other subject given in CV.
COMMUNICATION IS VERY MUCH IMPORTANT ALL THE WAY, BE CONFIDENT

ABOUT UR ANSWERS, BE POSITIVE MINDED, HARD WORKING N STAY COOL.
Interview was easy; just they would try to confuse you. Take anything they give you, keep a
smile on your face whatever the say, how badly they say. If they ask you whether you have a
problem if they send you outside India or West Bengal say a big NO. Can tell about your wish
for higher studies,
I was called for HR interview at around 6-30 p.m. HR was the easiest for me.
Questions were normal like:::
Tell me about yourself? Questions from hobbies and extra-curricular activities. Why Tech-
Mahindra? Why an It sector? Why should TM take you? Strength and Weakness?

Very easy just dont get tensed and dont stammer.
COMMUNICATION PLUS CONFIDENCE is needed. Be smart but not over smart or u will be
punished! Stay cool; don't be aggressive during HR at any cost. There is no preference like as if
they only take CSE or IT, they take all if you have a clear funda and if u have a good approach.
Thats it!!!!!
At last Results were announced at 7-7.30 p.m. and I was selected among the 12 from my college.
It was a superb experience only if you crack the final goal. Still keep up the spirit and apart from
that, u need 100% LUCK ON UR SIDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey guys, Im Nikhil Unnikrishnan from Terna Engg. College. I got placed @ TM on the 21st of
March. This time they r out wid a package of 2.9lacs. Let me first of all thank freshersworld.com
for helping me out wid the preparation style n believe me guys, crackin tech mahindra is not a
tough job.
We did not have an online exam for the aptitude. Apti had a set of 75Q which r to be solved in
60mins. It consisted of 5 sections:
1)Verbal & quantitive
2) Verbal, Nonverbal
3) Appropriate preposition & words
4) Fill in the blanks(English)
5)Comprehension
The verbal sections were really easy. Dont waste ur time in preparing 4 these. It took me just
15mins to solve the 45Q of these section.
The quanti part was really tough. In the remaining 45mins, I could solve only bout 15-20Qs. Try
n solve Shakuntala Devi puzzles for these. Lso dont ignore R.S.Agarwal. As there wasnt
negative marking, I blindly answered the rest!!!
The results were put up in bout 20mins n out of 80 students, 36 were selected. Then ftr about an
hour, v were asked to fill up a form n thn v had our tech interview.

TECH MAHINDRA PAPER ON 19th MARCH
Hi frnds, i m Arpit Rathee from University Institute of Information Technology(UIIT), Shimla.

TechM came to our college on 19th March for on-campus. I was 1 of the 19 who got placed in it.
A total of 35 appeared, out of which 23 were selected for tech. intv and finally 19 got placed in
it. Its a memorable experience of my life.
They came to our institute at 10:30am, they showed us a nice video which consisted the info
about the company, their domain of work, infras. of pune capus, tools that they work on, package
of 2.9 pa for B.Tech and 3.2 pa for M.Tech. After this they asked us, if u wanna ask any que.
One of us asked about Why Tech.M changed name from MBT to Tech.M. and some more like
that. After the presentation they asked us fill a form which consisted of info. like academic
%age, languages u know, family background, your goal. The form consisted of the login IDs
with which we have to login into our online test. They also told us that they have bond of 2yrs.
The online test was a different experience to us all. It consisted of 5 sections and a total of 75
que.
One was of Aptitude
One was of Logical
Three were of English
Aptitude was a bit tough. But i continued with the ones which i could solve easily. The time was
biggest constraint into this. Some puzzles were tough and some were easy. RS Agg. was more
than enough. Que were from time & work, SI, streams. We were provided with rough sheets to
do the calc. On the whole it was not tough.
Logical was the one which i found difficult. Some que were with figures, and numbers were
inserted into it and we were asked to find the missing. Some series related to time were given.
These were really tough. This section was tough.
English was the most easiest to solve. Que related to fill the blank with appropriate word and
tense, prepositions, 3-4 synonyms. This section could be done with any avg student.
I took 40 min to do the first 2 sections and the remaining 20 min to do the 3 english sections.
However if u get stressed easily then u must begin with english sections, as these are easy and
less time consuming followed by apti and then logical. But i will advise u to begin with apti.
Concentrate well into the test and dont look here & there. And keep a watch on the time. There
was no -ve marking, so do mark all the answers.
After 1/2 hr our result was out and I was one of those who cleared written.
Then we were started with tech. intv at 3:30pm. My turn came at around 5 pm. I was feeling
jittery before the intv. Finally, i went in. I was asked a little of tech and more of HR. That was a
real surprise to me. Que like describe yurself, family background, prog. language u are
comfortable with. After 1 hr my result came and i was through. Finally I was asked for my HR
intv at around 8:30 pm. Here it goes:

I opened the door and asked may i come in sir. Then i went in and to my surprise the interviewer
stood and shaked hand with me and introduced himself. [Here is the tip, shake hand firmly with a
little smile and remember to introduce yoursely].
HR: Tell me about yourself
me: I described about my career record, interests and hobbies. [ Dont show your nervousness.
Ofcourse everyone feels nervous. And tryin speak fluently by looking into his eyes].
HR: Choose a topic yourself and speak on it for 1 min
me: I choose pollution, as this was the one asked before and got prepared with some points
beforehand. I spoke on it for 1 and 1/2 min.
HR: Do u think is it right to have bond
me: I said yes and explained to him that the company need to meet out the expenses which it
incurred on him for his training. Otherwise the person after gaining required experience leaves
the organisation.
HR: Why the bond is not for 10 yrs
me: I said that the expenses incurred are meeted out by the company and also an employee wants
some freedom. He shouldn't be bound to one company for 10 yrs.
After this he said ok and said if i have any ques. I said no and went out.
Finally the long wait was over and our result was out at 12:30 in the night. I was just waiting to
be called as all my friends got into and thanx to god my name was called. That was a good
experience.
I would like to thanx all the guys who shared their experiences on freshersworld as i learned a lot
from this site. Please guys continue to mail your experiences on this site, it really helps. And all
the guys who haven't got placed i would just like to say: continue with your efforts and u will be
paid with it one day. Don't fall back by one defeat since this is one of the many phases that life
offers. Trying remain Happy since this is the greatest thing that exists in this world.

At first there was a brief PPT session,where we came 2 know bout the company's prospects.Then
there was an aptitude test which was held for 1 hour.

Time management is the key 2 this aptitude test.We were given 1hr time for the aptitude test
which has 75 questions. So to clear the test u hve 2 b very fast & 1 thing i would tell every1 2 do
is that,plz do the english part first,then the analytical part.
After the aptitude test there was the technical interview. My interview went for 20 mins approx.
Interviewer:-Tell me about urself..

Me:-bla bla.....
Interviewer:-What is ur favourite subject???
Me:-Mathematics
Interviewer:-OW!!!!!ur fav subjct is Mathematics????ok ok....now tell me how can u get 1 by
using three elevens....u can use any operators.....

I wrote the program of fibonacci series using recursion.

Me:-100% sure Sir...
Interviewer:-Before MBT,hve u passed the aptitude test of any other company???? I told that I
passed the aptitude test of TCS,but I didn't clear the technical interview of TCS....

Hi,
I am Indradeep,..recently I have been recruited from NIT Kolkata by Tech Mahindra(MBT),I
am a third year electrical engg student and as you know it's a tough competition for us to enter
the IT industry. I am trying to narrate my experience during the process which can give u a fair
idea of the selection process
i) Initial screening(60% in 10th ,12th and B-Tech)
ii) Aptitude Test(74 cleared this test)
iii) Technical Interview(52 cleared the technical round)
iv) HR Interview.(39 people got through the HR round)
APTITUDE TEST:
It consisted of 5 sections each with atleast 10 questions while one or two sections contained 20
questions.There were altogether 75 questions which u have to answer in 1 hr only(remember
time is very very imp in this round).The sections were:
a) Verbal reasoning and analytical
b) Non verbal reasoning and analytical
c) MCQ-questions based on English grammar(very easy)
d) English comprehension( Do it at last..coz it consumes time)

e)..something related to puzzles(easy ones)
Through prep from RS Aggarwal(verbal,non-verbal,quantitave) is enough to pass the aptitude
test besides having minimum base in english.
Anyway the result was declared within 40 mins and luckily I was selected.

I was asked some other questions..but easy onesabt my schooling..my fav gamesmy fav sub
in +2..weder I like maths n all datbut yathers one thingI was not asked any q from
electrical enggafter the interview was over..he asked me to wait 4 the HR interview..
HR interview:..
Now I was the 1st candidate to be called 4 the HR interviewI must say one thing here.it
was really stressful..watever I said,.the HR interviewer crossed men even rebuked me down
to dust at the slightest pretext..this harrassment contd 4 around 15 mins..wen finally he said
me..m not eligible enough 4 MBTI never got tensed..even with dat remark.through out I
kept my cool with a smiling face..n some answers wich though never seemed to impress
him.
Later wen the results were outto my utter surprise I found my name was the 1st to be
announcedfriends m saying u here one thingthis kind of interview can happenthese
interviews are called negative interview.watever u tell..they will cross u.but never ever lose
ur cool or show any temper..or cry in front of them.
Now..friendsall the best to u all..n hope u will make it soon to MBT (Tech

There were 5 sections in the apti test.The apti test was on-line.The total time was 1hr. Once u
cleared a section if u try to access it again then u have to solve a complete new section again.

3rd part - english grammer
4th part - english antonyms & synonyms
5th part - english reading comprehension
Paper was quite easy, English and reasoning sections were wonderfull, I can say I enjoyed
solving Paper there. When result was decleared there was my name in list and also my best frens
name, now we ve to face technical interview.
Our next phase was in RGPV, In Technical Interview they asked me technical +HR
1. Tell me some thing about your self.
2. U have good academic record through out, Why less in 12th.
3. Operating System
4. C/C++
5. Oracle queries.
6. I mentioned in my resume that I knew Urdu, He asked me to translate "ULFAT" in english.
7. He asked me that u ve mentioned that u got prize from Doordarshan for GK it means Ur Gk is
good, I smiled.
then he asked ok tell who is (Some post) in Military. I replied I dont know, and I said "Sir
Actually when I got this prize I was in 8 th class". He smiled and said Ok tell me when u were in
8 th class who was there on same post. I literally start laughing, and thought what he asked.. He
understood that I m not knowing that, so he changed question and asked me Ok zamran tell me

"who was President Of India when u were in 8th class" I just gave a Pause, and answered Mr. Dr.
Shankar dayal sharma... He said Ok.
8. He asked me a puzzel. I answered well for all questons..except GK one.... (I thought they were
checking confidence, attitude, how quick you react for answers) When the result of TI
announced, i got selected and again my best fren got selected with me. now both of us have to go
for HR in same pannel.
When we went there and waitng for turn to come.. My fren went for HR before me: His HR was
of 5 min they asked him

2)Speak 2 mins for mobile
Then It was my turn for HR:
My HR was of 3 min
they asked me

2)Your weakness.
When we met outside we were worried that Y HR was so little, I thought either he want to take
us without doubt. Or he dont want to take us so not wasting time on us..
Next day our result decleared and WE both of us got selected. Thanks to God... Me and my fren
got Job in same company... As our Team work is great so I m sure we ll do great Job there in
MBT...
According to me success = Mom's wishes + Luck + Smartwork (Planned) + confidence.

need to go forward or backword.. We have to press ok..andfinish button after the
completion of each and every section.
Section 3)their was 20 apti questions..for that RS AGG is sufficient Their was problems on
pipes +time and work+ based on train+ problem on numbers+ profit and loss + area and volume
Section 4) this section contains 20 questionsmany problem on series. And 3 question was
repeated from previous year papers..so please Atleast solve before facing the written exam
This section had problems on->>series(6 Question).+ missing number( 2Q).+.venn diagram +
data sufficiency All these are cat pattern.and RS AGG is sufficient.
Section 5 )In this section we have to fill the blanks and radio buttons was given . In this fill the
option with correct form or.word meaning etc.. This section was easy.
Basically to clear the written u must have good vocabulary and TIME MANGEMENT U
MUST COMPLETE THE PAPER WITHIN TIME.. As their was no negative marking so I have
mark ticked on all the question Firstly I have attempted the first two sections and after that
quants and verbal-non verbal After that I went for the last section To solve apti probs u must
have sound calculation After that result was declared.220 students had cleared the

Hi! I am in 6th semester, EE. Tech Mahindra came for our on campusing on 28th feb. Eligibility
criteria was 60% throughout academics.
It was my very 1st interview. Around 10 a.m., they gave a ppt first, then there was an online
aptitude test. It had 5 sections, 3 on english & 1 on verbal & non-verbal each. No sectional cut-
off, no sectional time limit, no negative marking.
Sections on english r pretty easy, n if u r a bit more than avg in english, u can make most of it
like I did. U HAV TO PLAN & MANAGE TIME AS IT IS MOST CRUCIAL. Though they
didn't declared the cut-off officially, U HAV TO SCORE AROUND 50 to clear the apti.
I was one of the 41 out of 198 who cleared the apti. Result was declared around 2-30 p.m.
Then we had to fill up a form and was called for technical interview serially. Technical interview
was really TECHNICAL for CSE & IT guys!
It was easier for EC & EE guys, in fact 1 from each were asked only HR Qs. It basically depends
on ur luck that who interview u. Make sure that u know exactly what u hav written in ur resume.
Questions will be based on ur resume. Almost all were asked to write codes.
My turn came around 7-30 p.m. My interviewer was a lady. Qs were:
1. Tell about urself
2. Asked about family background
3. Whar r ur current semester papers?
4. U r from EE, so draw a circuit of a room having 2 lights n 1 fan
5. Ur ckt doesn't show direction of current, Why?
6. Why don't u connect lights in series?
7. Told parameters in ckt,n asked to determine othr parameters
8. What is the basic science in case of lighting of a bulb?
9. Why the color of light of CFL n streetlamps r different?
10. Suppose u r batting. While hitting the ball Newton's which law is being applied?
Surprisingly, I was not asked to write any code, or anything related to computers. So, be ready
with basic concepts, n be ready to improvise ur answers. COMMUNICATION IS VERY MUCH
IMPORTANT ALL THE WAY. I was almost immediately selected for HR round.
Be cool n confident n u will go thru it. 22 were selected after technical, i.e, 19 were eliminated.
I was called for HR interview at around 9-30 p.m.

HR: Well, what does ur name mean? God's favourite person? Then who can stop u?(hehehe)
Me: Hope so, Sir!
HR: Asked about school
Me: .........
HR: What is ur expectations at Tech Mahindra?
Me: ....(THIS IS A USUAL HR QUESTION, SO GAVE A SHOT)
HR: Its been a long day, r u feeling tired?
Me: Yes, a little bit, but its OK..
HR: (Even before I finished) Look, this is ur 1st interview. Even if u r not selected for Tech
Mahindra, u can make to bigger n better companies. But u hav to change ur attitude. In industry
u hav to be always on edge, meet project deadlines. I can't afford to have a lazy lad like u there!
(I WAS STUNNED! We were in the campus for around 13 hours then. I just can't say after a l-o-

n-g day that I'm thriving with energy. That sounds an out and out lie. I must sound genuine. I
said I was tired but I could overcome it. That was the BEST POSSIBLE ANSWER of that Q at
that situation. I felt I might have just lost it, but reorganized myself for the rest.)
Me: I'll remember ur words n change myself, Sir!
HR: OK, Why did u choose electrical as ur stream?
Me: ..............
HR: Electrical keno nile boloto?(hehe) (Repeated the same Q, this time in bengali)
(TRAP: Whatever language HR speaks, U HAV TO SPEAK ENGLISH. One fall in this trap n
received the lesson of his lifetime.)
Me: Repeated my answer..
HR: Do u want to ask anything?
Me: If I'm selected, what actually will I hav to do?
HR: Coding..
Me: Will all the skill sets required be taught at training?
HR: affirmative nod of head..
Me: OK, Sir! Thank U!
HR: Wait for result..
Though that TIRED Q in HR, I was 50% hopeful to get the offer letter as the HR continued the
interview for a fair amount of time after that n told me to wait n Tech Mahindra has a reputation
for not eliminating in the HR.
Offer letters were distributed at 10-30 p.m. To my despair, I did not receive any. 18 were given
offer letters, so apart from me 3 othr were also eliminated in HR. All 4 were from EC n EE....
I feel they prefer CS n IT guys over EC n EE guys!!!!
Key in HR: COMMUNICATION n CONFIDENCE. Be smart but don't be oversmart or u will

be grilled! Keep urself cool, don't be aggressive during HR at any cost. One of my frnds became
aggressive during HR and paid the penalty instantly.
Though I was eliminated in the HR, I feel it is only 5% of the procedure. If u clear apti n
technical, u r 95% in.
Its more about smart thinking than anything else.
Apart from that, u need 100% LUCK ON UR SIDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I feel I was unlucky in HR;
anyway, to reach so far in the very 1st interview was beyond my expectation n I almost made it...

TECH MAHINDRA PAPER ON 13th MARCH AT MUMBAI
Hi guyz,
I m currently in 6th sem of IT engg. Just yesterday (13.03.2007) i got placed in Tech
Mahindra(MBT) and thought i wud share my xperiences wid u, since i myself got a few tips after
reading other candidate xperiences on freshersworld.
This time the company is offering a package of 2.9/annum. They also help their employees do
post-graduation, but i dont hv the details of this. Now let me describe u the entire selection
process as i xperinced it:
Aptitude test
The test duration was 1 hr, consisted of 75 Qs, 5 sections ( 3 english, 1 maths & 1 logic). It was
not an online test. The english sections were damn easy and i managed to complete all 3 sections
in 20 min. The maths & logic were a bit tough and not much was there frm R.S. Agrawal and
dat was quite shocking for most of us. There were sectional cut-offs & no -ve marking.
The logic section consisted of questns like time series (12.30, 3.01,5.45, ---), no. series, alphabets
and nos combined series etc. The most common & time consuming questions were
like: A,B,C,D,E,F stay in a bldg. A lives above D, F lives bet B & E etc. then find who
lives bet A & F.
Another eg: Train starts wid x no of passenger, 1/3rd get down at first station and 120 get in,
3/4th get down at 2nd statn & 78 get in, the no of passengers in the train at last station is 240.
Find the initial no of passengers dat the train started wid.
Maths section consisted of sum very easy qustns (like: wen a no is divided by 4 it is reduced by
21, find the no) and sum xtremely tough ones. I just went on solving the questions dat i found
easy and den tackled the tough ones 2wards the end.
My advice: Dont rely on only R.S. Agrawal as many of us tend to do. Since most of the
companies know dat students refer dis book dey r sure to put sum diffrent kinda questns. B ready
for that. Dont practice 2 much of English, u will neway find it easy. And most imp. dont think ur
paper wud b of the same pattern as mine, it may b, it may not b, coz mine was quite different frm
most of the cmpany papers dat i saw on Freshersworld. Another thing, der will b 5 diffrnt papers,
so all wont get the same paper. Keep this in mind if u plan to copy! I didnt copy and it is better
not to do so coz it leads 2 time wastage and u might mark sum wrong answrs.
Technical
Sum of us like me had our technical first while others had HR. I was asked 4-5 tech qustn frm

which i knew only 3, and i confidently said no to the other 2 questn, but the ones dat i knew i
answred clearly & correctly. I was also asked to describe the college proj i had mentioned in my
resume. So b thorough wid ur proj and dont put it in ur resume if u copied it frm sumwhere and
have no idea wat it does.
No programs were asked. The quetn i was asked were: 1) HDLC cycle - i told only full form of
hdlc and said i dont know about the cycle. 2)C++ features over C - answrd correctly 3) 3rd
normal form - i said no, nvr heard of it 4) describe 2 Software development models - answrd
correctly.
HR:
HR was a cakewalk. I was asked TEll me about urself. My strengths, weaknesses, and any 2
things i liked about MBT. Some of my frnds who had their HR first were asked a bit diffrnt
questns like: A stick was shown and my frnd was asked to write 15 diffrnt uses for it.
My advice for Technical & HR: B confident and say no if u dont know the ans 2 sum questn,
dont try 2 bluff ur way thru it, b honest

hi i am arnab...BPPIMT CSE 3rd yr...

yesterday Tech Mahindra came for on campusing...
all started around 10.30a.m with ppt (it was basically a mixture of power point slides & an
exciting video)...slides were showing growth rate, future prospect, infrastructures of Tech
Mahindra. just try to note down a few points if possible from ppt...otherwise the information in
the websites is enough.
next was the online aptitude test...1hr time & 75 questions...there were 5parts...no negative
markings...
2parts were from simple maths, logical reasoning, alphabetical series, simple
puzzles...(basically all were very very easy)
3 parts were from English
a. fill in the blanks with article, prepositions, suitable verb forms
b. multiple choice questions ( simple synony ms,correct & incorrect sentences)

c. reading comprehension...10 questions...all were very easy...nothing to worry
the whole test was all about time management...all questions were answerable...but how many
questions u attempt in 60mins is the most important thing...(don't get confused with any wrong
options, or questions with out any options...those are simply to KILL the TIME and create
confusions...be smart enough and avoid those questions)
result was out within an hour...52 out of 100(approx)were selected for the technical round...
luckily i was the first person to face the technical music...
really i was lucky as it was more or less an H.R round (ha ha)...
the questions were...
1.give a brief introduction.
2.hobbies...
3.think that i don't know anything about C,C++...u just tell me what do know about those?
4.what have u done at the IIT project?
5.what do u know about telecom industry?
question no 3 was a real bonus for me...as C,C++ are my favt ones... actually that question
sealed my position for the H.R interview ...rest questions were just a formality...
41 students were selected for the H.R interview...

again i was the first to face the H.R panel...
questions were very easy again (it took only 2-3mins) ...
1.brief introduction...(once again!!)
2.why this college?
3.any location preferences?
4.anything i want to ask?
my technical & h.r
it was a marathon wait...final results were out at almost 11-15 at night
MBT has the reputation of not cutting anyone after the H.R...they maintained their
reputation...all 41 were selected... so if u can cross the technical round u are certainly there...

Hi friends.
Hope this will help u a lot. I got placed in Tech Mahindra.
The selection procedure is as follows:

1. Online Test
2. Technical Interview
3. HR Interview
1. Online Test:-
As there r approx 50 colleges across the Rajasthan r invited ,total of 2400 student, so
They took online test in 6 Batches. We were provided a PC in lab which were connected to their
server.
Test was divided in 5 sections.

3 were English and 2 aptitude.
English
English part was average in level consist of 35 questions(10,10,15). Questions were fill in the
blanks with propositions and words with appropiate verb forms and suitable words. 4-5 vocab
questions. Some questions were based on paragraph conclusion.
Practice some topics like prepositions , Error finding, tenses, fill up the blanks from any good
English objective book.
Aptitude
Aptitude consist of
verbal & non-verbal section (20 questions)- Practice all the 3 sections given in R.S. aggarwal.
This section is little bit tough.
Questions were based on series, missing no. or char., odd one out, 2 ques from venn diag, blood
relation, Logical reasoning, Non verbal series questions.
Quantitative section (20 questions)-
Practice verbal reasoning & quantitative apti book of R.S. aggarwal.

Questions on Blood relation, profit loss, Interest, clocks, Puzzles, Time-speed, age etc.
First try this section & then the 4th one. It was simple.
There were no negative marking. They instructed for sectional cut-off . They selected approx
1000 out of 2400.
2. Technical Interview:
It was of average level. Based on CV. Here both HR & technical question were asked .
He give me a simple program in c++ based on strings.

He also asked me to write a prog. In c++ to output system date.
Then some general C's concept like data types, classes, oops concepts etc.
Some ques on DBMS.
Then questions on my project during my summer training.
They selected appox 400 out of 1000.
3. HR:
We were called in a group of 9.
First he just asked us to describe ourselves and then a casual talk based on hobbies.
Asked about SWDLC steps.
What do u want to ask us?
All 9 were selected.
They select 325 out of 400.
Some tips for interview.
Carry your resume.

The interview is just to gauge your communication skills, basically whether you can
speak or not or are confident enough.
Tell us something about Yourself - Mention your current educational status i.e name of
college, degree and special. Move on to emphasis on your skills.
Support every skill with an exanple when asked for. For example if you mention you are
good at team work.You may be interrupted by the interviewer and asked to explain that
why you feel you are good at team work.
Every strength, quality, weakness or any word you utter will be listened to sharply. So be
prepared for an example and a statement to support it.
HOBBIES. Prepare fully all the facts related to ur hobbies , as interwier may ask any
ques related to ur hobbies

questions as u can browse one question only once. let most of ur guess ( if any) to be A/B
I finished all English questions in 10 min and after that i concentrated on Maths n did 12
ques n 14 question of last both question n rest attempted as B. I got through it.
2. Technical Interview ( 800 selected approx)
My interview started with :
Q: Tell me about ur self, specific 10th, 12 th and any problem in joining at any centre..?
Then i was asked following questions :
Q: What is LINK list?-------- Answered
Q: What is Data Structure?-------- Answered
Q: What is Double linked list?-------- partial
Q: What is Quick Short nd Merge sort?------ not answered
Q: What is B tree? ---- answered it took just 5 min though others where interviewed
about 15-20 min. and though i un answered two question still i was selected...
Suggestion: BE CONFIDENT and u r set to crack it !!!!!
3. HR Interview: 340 selected
Hr interview was a general HR question :
Q; Tell me about urself ( General, Family background, hobbbies, strength , weakness)
Q: Expectation from tech mahindra?
Q: Why Tech MAhindra?
Q: IS 2 yrs Bond Good or BAD?
Q: tell me in one word why shall i take you?
then i was asked to ask questions if any and i asked about the way the engineers are
judged working within the company....
Next day i was happy to be in the selected LIST.

1. There were 6 different sets but they took exam on two sets only. My set number was 0004
2. In the questionb booklet there was negative marks but they told that it would not be applicable

b. For me it was little bit difficult. Suggestion from me is, first go through the
other sections & answer it at last.

1. It depends on the respective panel. Question were asked from OS, C ( Test ur C Skills) ,
DBMS ( Normalization maily), C++, Networking.
2. As they mostly work on networks be very much confident while choosing Networking as ur
choice. Same is for C++ .
3. Better options will be OS, DBMS.
4. If ur choice is DS, go through the tree & panning tree algos, and sorting
HR Interview:
1. You have to do it well as they give very much preference on this part. Questions on ur hobby,
family background, relocation problem is generally asked.
2. To some student they ask about their company profile. So plz go through their profile on their
website www.mahindrabt.com

Eng 2: very difficult words were given and you had to guess their meanings. Some antonyms and
synonyms.

THE QUESTION PAPER WAS ONLINE; EACH STUDENT HAD DIFFEREN SET OF
QUESTIONS. (IT WAS INDUVIDUALISTIC)
TECHNICAL ROUND:
Based on your previous semester subjects. I was asked about operating sys, data structs, data
communicn, system software, unix.. Os: different scheduling algos(fcfs,sjf,)which of these
is more efficient ? Deadlocks-detection and prevention types. Representation of deadlocks using
wait for graph.
Ds: typedef and linked list..
Dc: osi layers and where are MAC protocols situated( in which layer?)
Ss: linkers, loaders, compilers, how c pgm is compiled? Explain different steps involved in
compiling the c pgm.
Unix: how unix works. You have to explain about background and foreground processes.
Explain few commands you know.
Be thorough with your concepts be confident. Syntax doesnt matter much. Your confidence and
learnability, how you present yourself matters.
HR ROUND:
Was very easy based on my resume questions were asked. About my achievements and
interests.

TECH MAHINDRA PAPER ON 15th MARCH AT BANGALORE
Hi this is Sangeetha from SJBIT, Bangalore. I got placed in Tech Mahindra on 15th march
2007.
The aptitude they conducted was online. Make sure you answer one section completely and go
back. Do not switch to another section before completing as you will lose those questions and
finally land up with new set of questions.
There was no negative marking and its mandatory to attend all questions no matter you really
know it or not.
The aptitude consisted of 5 sections:

1.Non verbal.
2.Verbal
3.English grammer(Fill in the blanks).
4.Some englist test(multiple choice, some meanings, acronyms, opposites etc).
5.English comprehension just match up appropriate word in passage based on the question).
I took up third section first and then fourth and fifth as i was basically confident in English.
Later i took up verbal as it was timeconsuming. Then I completed first section which was
easier as compared to second section.
For the first and second section refer to RS Aggarwal. Its more than enough. Other three
sections will be simple depending on your general English knowledge.
After 1 hour aptitude results came. Soon after that i was called for technical round. It was a bit
tough, but the interviewer was very jovial, encouraging and understanding. This round was
pulled upto 1 hour.
First thing they asked in this round was what all subjects did you study. I named them all. Later
he asked me to rate myself out of five for each subject. I rated myself 4 on c,c++, rest all 3.
I was asked questions right from c to Software engineering. He also asked me some HR
questions like - Tell about your parents, education, strength, weakness, hobbies, achievements
and about project.
I was the first to be called for HR. This was a very nice and relaxing round. He asked me about
myself, why Tech Mahindra, am I willing to relocate, some questions based on resume, small
puzzles, etc. It was fun. I completed all the three rounds withing 4:30 and te results were
announced at 8.

Hi guys, Im Suprabhat 4rm KGEC. Tech Mahindra came to our college on 5th April for on
campussing. Eligibility criteria were 60% throughout academics. This time the company is
offering a package of 2.9lakh/annum.
The selection procedure is as follows:

Aptitude Test:
The test duration was 1 hr, consisted of 75 Qs, 5 sections. It was an online test. No sectional
cut-off, no sectional time limit, no negative marking. But cut off was very high. You have to
plan & manage time as it is most crucial.
1st part - Verbal (20 questions)
2nd part - Non-verbal (20 questions)
3rd part - English grammar (Fill in the blanks) (10 questions)
4th part - English antonyms & synonyms (15 questions)
5th part - English reading comprehension (10 questions)
The English sections were easy. You have to be perfect in grammar. Verbal section was very
easy. But non-verbal section was a little bit tough. Max problems with diagrams. Until &
unless you practice this type of ques, it would be very difficult to solve those in exam hall.
There were ques like time series (12:30, 3:01, 5:32, ---), no. series etc. The most common &
time consuming ques were like: A, B, C, D, E, F, G are 7 bottles. A is placed after D, F is
between B & E etc. then find 3rd one 4rm the left.
Result was out within half an hour...17 out of 80(approx) were selected for the technical
round
In technical round I was asked from
Operating Systems (Multi-processing & multi-threading, Is Windows multi-processing or
multi-threading?),
UNIX (Kernel, advantage of UNIX, Is there any kernel in Windows?),
C (Array, Recursive func, Prog of String Reverse, Return-type of printf func(ans: int))

No ques asked 4rm Data structures & DBMS. But some of my frnds were asked from those.
Go through all the basic fundamental things. Technical interview was really TECHNICAL for
CSE & IT guys
HR Interview:
In HR round I was asked ques like Introduce yourself, Why choose Comp. Sc.?. Then the
HR personal gave me one puzzle to solve.
Tech Mahindra has a reputation of not rejecting much in the HR round.
My advice for Technical & HR: Be confident and say No if you dont know the ans, dont try
to bluff, be honestCommunication & Confidence is the main thing in any interview.
After half an hour result was out 13 were selected I was one of the lucky students

TECH MAHINDRA PAPER PATTERN ON 21st MARCH AT MUMBAI
Hi.. I am a Third Year E/T student of Terna Engg College,Nerul, New Mumbai... I got
selected in Tech Mahindra on 21st March, 2007... Will have to say this,I had previous tried at
Infosys, Accenture, Mastek, Hexaware, Maq... Couldnt clear any of the aptis!! So, those who
arent clearing the aptiude tests , will just say, dont panic, be positive, your day will come!! Ya,
because mine apti of Tech Mahindra was the worst of all...(Am still shocked by my
selection!!!) But got thorough the apti and subsequent rounds...
Ours wasnt an Online apti... BTW, if there are not many comps in ur college dont expect an
online apti!! The apti was of 1 hour , 75 Ques... The total eligible students in the college were
around 130.... So, we were broken into 2 batches , One of Elex,IT, Comp and the other of

E/T... There were five different sets of paper... You really have to be quick while solvin the
apti.. i will suggest you adopt educational guesses right from the start... I felt, the Verbal
section was very easy and it was presnt at the start in my set of paper... I'll advice to just finsh
of the verbal ques as fast as u can also with good accuracy...Passage ques are very easy.. We
werent provided a rough paper... So be ready to start rough work right at the back of the
Answer paper... We didnt have negative markings... not sure about sectional cutoff...But they
had informed before that no negative marking and no sectional... Just follow what is said...
Now about Quantitative part... It is virtually impossible to solve all the ques within the time
given... So, here plz adopt educational guesses where and where its required... By that i dont
mean just guess...In many sums you can start with d options... i mean start takin a option and
see if it fits in. and go on like that... rather than solvin d conventional way... I think i put this to
use in some ques like those series ones , word probs... Practise maths from the books like R.S
Agrawal etc... Verbal, i dont think any preparation was required for the level of English that we
were given... So, i would suggest see into maths..
Out of around 130 people , 36 were selected for the interviews....NO GD... There were 19 from
Comps, IT, Elex .... and 17 from E/T.... First we were told to fill in the form... It had some ques
like ur objectives, plans of further studies... So just think about it and write... We were said that
there would be a TI and a PI... The list was formed in the order of marks in the aptitude test... i
was 16th... Just squeezed in!! I will say for Tech Mahindra , Apti is the main filtering
process....Those who have cleared the apti, can beleive they have put a foot into the door...
Now, what remains is how confident you are.... By the time my turn of PI had come, i had got
the news that some 3-4 have been rejected and all... For
HR i was asked-
1] Tell me abt ur self...Ans- Tell about what u r currently doin.. About somethings of the
past...about your parents etc.. 2]Greatest strenghts..Ans- i said honesty,a decent human
being,good communication skills etc.. whatever u say, be prepared to give atleast 1 example of
your each strength... 3]Weaknesses ..Ans- I said , i trust all , speak frankly which makes some
feel that i am blunt..(Here too do some homework for your answer...) 4]Why should i hire
you?.. Ans-I think i am the best suitable person to join your organisation because of my
background & education... 5]Where do you see yourself 5 yrs down d line??.. Ans- In 5 yrs , i'll
be well experienced & my carrer path will go upwards... 6]Can you work anywhere?? Ans-
Yes... 7]Books that you have read recently.. Tell about what u hv read.. dont ever lie.. HR can
catch u immediately if u say a book name and that book the HR has read!!! 8]Why you want to
come into I/T sector now.. (This is the main ques for non it people... So just be prepared for
it..)I said that i wanted E/T initially because it covers a wide range of subjects...
Here also, i would suggest be prepared for some surprise topics... One of my frend was asked
to speak about Osama Bin Laden, do u think America is doin right..?One was asked define
'Life'... So just dont get stunned and loose your confidence... Just be cool.. And just answer the
ques as you are speaking with a frend or some elder relative... They just wanna see how
confident you are and can you think instinctively.... This was about my 1st HR... Jut after 5 min
, i got to know i had cleared as i was the second last in.. Then was a prospective TI...Out of 17
of E/T, 4 were not selected for second round.... So, now 13 remained... There were two,

Tecnical persons... One was taking a Technical interview while the other was taking the
Personal interview again! Actually here, its your luck.. One was sent for technical while other
to personal int... I was lucky!! Got PI again for the second time!!! The ques were silmilar...
Some diff though... This person was taking down whatever we were saying!! Just dont get
baffled if such a thing happens... Just speak... He was checking if you get distracted or not...
Just be confident... Say in a loud audible voice... About Technical , which some of my frends
had to face, it was tough!! I mean, i can just say for E/T people... The HR would start right
from Filter Theory to CC!!! So, just have some knowledge or see the subjects... At least some
rough idea... Cant say about Technical in detail as i didnt have to face it... Then, the results
were declared...All 13 of E/T were selected , from the ones who had made it to the 2nd
round.... So no one went out due to technical...
In all 30 were selected from the college...Pay- 2.9 pa..At last I would thank this site for
helping me get through TM... The experiences and papers did help immensely....I hope you
enjoyed my experience and it will be helpful for you!!! :)

this is SAJAL KUMAR SAHA(3rd year,CSE) from NIT KOLKATA. Now I'm the happiest
person in the world 'coz I get the job in TECH MAHINDRA after a long struggle. Tech Mh..
came in our clg. for on campassing on 21st March,2007. let me give u a potrait of that day.
The selection process was not so easy. it was as follows:

1) APTITUDE TEST ( online ,75 marks,60 min.there was 5 sections. english 3 sections
&analytical ability and non-verbal.)
2) TECHNICAL INT.
3) HR INT.
Aptitude paper was not so easy. They have varity sets. some get easy one,and the others tough
one. i got the tough one. English was quite easy. there some time killing problems. the main
factor was time. ther is no -ve no sec. cut off. But cut off was high. among 148 74 clear the
apti. I go to tech int around 8.30. it was a10 min panel.

was selected for HR. I was 1 of them.
I go for HR around 11.45. believe me guys it was just a cakewalk. but the main thing u need is
luck. The result is declared near abt 1.15. I was one of the luckiest person who got
SELECTED. For apti i just suggest u to practice urself according to the time.
hope i will meet u in TECH MAHINDRA .so don't give up hope. Try ur best. GOD definitely
will help u.

Hi,guys I am Sandhyadip from MCKV Institute of Engineering .MBT came to our college on
14th March for on campussing.There were three selection procedure.

The aptitude was Online.There were 5 sections in aptitude test

2) Verbal,Nonverbal
3) Appropriate preposition & words
4)Fill in the blanks(English)
5)Comprehension
To clear the Apti of MBT is very difficult. Go through R.S Agarwala thoroughly.Every
chapt in Verbal & Logical Reasoning should be covered.
Quanti portion was very easy.Just consult Agarwalas Quanti Aptitude.Untill & unless you
practice Verbal section from Agarwal it would be very difficult to solve those in exam
hall.There were also puzzles from Sakuntala Devi.There was no sectional cut off and
negetive marking.But cut off is very high.
English portion was easy.You have to be perfect in grammar.The comprehension potion was
very easy.No uncommon words in the portion
25 out of 98 is selected .I was one of those lucky people.
In technical round I was asked form RDBMS,Normalisation,Oracle,OS,Creation of dobly

link list and pointer.I was asked how many bytes a pointer variable takes?The personel asked
me to draw a table and break it upto 3NF.I answered all the questions quite confidently and I
was selected for HR.
Hr personel advised me to develp my communication skill by gettiong admission in BBC.I

said that I am practising English,communication with my friends.He said that I could not
impress him. I was in a pensive mood after HR.

There were 5 sections in the apti test.The apti test was on-line.The total time was 1hr.
1st part - quanti

2nd part - non verbal &logical reasoning
3rd part - english grammer
4th part - english antonyms & synonyms
5th part - english reading comprehension
In quanti section there were lots of puzzle.Go thru R.S.agarwal puzzle test it will b sufcnt.In
non-verbal section there were problems from the 12 hr time format,three or 4 consecutive
times were given u have to find out the next one.There was also no. series& some no. puzzles
from shakuntala devi also.The english section was damn easy u dont have to worry about
that.The main thing u have to look after is the time.Dont let it to run out otherwise u will be
out. Overall the paper was not too tough.

After the written test the result was out within 1/2 an hour & I was selected.Then I had to fill
up a form & I moved to the tech. round.Fortunately or unfortunately there were 2 persons in
my pannel ,where max. of my friend move to pannels where there was 1 person. the qs are as
follows--

3>fact with recursion.
4> 1array pgrm.
5>diff btwn struct & union.
6>how a pgrm get executed.

In 13th march the result was out & I was selected.Thats all guys I was selected by MBT, but u
will be surprise to know that i was out from wipro & cts in the HR round.So guys believe in

TECH MAHINDRA PAPER ON 27th FEBRUARY
Hi friends.... I am Supratim (3rd year EE) from BPPIMT Kolkata. 0n 27 th Feb Tech Mahindra
came to our colg. for on campusing.
The campusing procedure start ed arround 10 am with the ppt. They showed an awsome video
presentation followed by a powerpoint presentation. In those they showed the growth rate of
the company, it's mission, vision, work culture etc. Some employee's experiences were also
there. It may be fruitful to note some points from the ppt for the interviews.
The ppt was followed by an online aptitude test. There were total 75 questions divided into 5
sections. The total time was 1 hour.
1st part - quanti (20 questions)

2nd part - logical reasoning(20 questions)
3rd part - english grammer(10 questions)
4th part - english antonim & synonyms(15 questions)
5th part - english reading comprehension(10 questions)
For first two parts prepare from R.S Agarwal. In the 4 th part a part of line was underlined
which was to be changed by one out of 5 sollutions. All the questions were not very tough but
time management was the prime factor. No negetive marking was there so try to answer as
many as you can because sectional cut off is there. Be careful about not clicking a section you
have allready answered otherwise it will be refreshed and all answers you made will be gone.
Out of more than 100 students 52 were cleared in the technical round. They were given a form
to fill up for interviews.
My technical interview started at 6-30 pm. It was actually a technical and HR interview
together. Questions were like-----
Give me your introduction.

What are your subjects of preference?
Tell me what you know about C
WHat is the difference between C & C++ ?
What is link list? Describe on paper. Types of link list. Insertion & deletion from it.
Questions from stack , sorting and searching were also asked. Some fundamental C questions
were also there.
Then the man started to ask me questions of HR like my long time and short time goals, my
strengths, college activities, if i get the job and someone talks negetive about me, my senior is
not pleased with me etc. These all are asked to check my attitude and ability to handle pressure
situation. After that I was told to wait for the HR interview. Out of 52 students 41 were
selected for the HR round.
Tech Mahindra has a reputation of not rejecting much in the HR round. My HR interview
started at 9 pm. The interview lasted for about 5 minutes. Believe me friends it was a cakewalk.
The result was out at 11-15 pm. All 41 students who passed the technical round were selected.
I was one of the lucky 41 students.
The day before the interview I was also a tensed student in front of the monitor watching
placement papers and preparing myself. So from my experience I can tell you prepare yourself
well and believe in yourself. Thats all you need to be successful.

TECH MAHINDRA INTERVIEW ON 19th FEBRUARY
Test was conducted on 19th Feb and it was an online test fully. We were made to answer on
computer, everyperson was to create a new profile and feed data in it. Directions for How to fill
the form were explained beforehand and people were present to assist as, so no problem.
The test comprised of 5 section. First section was of maths quantative, the level of questions
was not very difficult, R.S. Aggarwal is more than enough. Second section was of reasoning
and logic and it was quite easy too. The rest of the three sections were on english- like put
proper verb forms, fill in the blanks and best fillting sentences options. It was more than easy,
hardly 10-13 minutes required for last section even for a normal student.
Pay more attention on the top two sections, last three are quite easy.
I passed the test with 45 marks out of probably 75.Then i was called for technical round.(U
must be properly dressed, yes u must be no excuse,u are going for something very important
afterall).
me: may i come in sir.
him: Yes, yes come in sit.
me: Good morning sir, thank u.
him: So pankaj how was ur apti?
me: sir i did it with much concentration, it was easier than expected. Like that of US techology,
where i failed to clear even apti.
him: so u have prepared well?
me: yes sir, after all i cannot take chances.
him: Ok, pankaj tell me something about u.
Me: I explained about me, my stength, weakness, nature and aim in 4 lines ,( yes don't drag
things be precise and to the point they have to check thousands like u)
him: what is 99*99
me: i calculated and explained it, u have to use ur imagination not paper, he would give u time.
him:(looking at my cv) so tell me about the project in HTML u have refferred to.
ME; I explained it in 5 lines.
Him: (speaking in between) ok pankaj what is web server.
me: I explained.
him: Types of server.
me: ISS, Apache

Explain me the configration of Apache server.
Me: I explained him and he asked me the name of the main directory where all data is stored
and where it is present on server.
Me: I explained to his question , in between i forgot about name of directory, he hintedme
http.c and it came to mind and at once i said sir it is httd.config nad present at root.
Him: what is https, ftp, smtp and what are their port numbers.
ME: I knew port number of only HTTP rest i could not tell but explained him the importance
of port numbers.
Him: If i throw two bolls on wall with all conditions same will they come back in the same
time?
ME: for sure sir, it's like throwing same boll one after another.
Then he sent me, i bowed and came out. Remember be polite but confident in ur words.
After that i was selected for HR, it was quite a big number who were rejected by tech
panel.(Two people were called at the same time)
Here is the peice of conversation i had with HR person.
HIM:Good evening pankaj
Me: Good evening , good evening sir.
HR: Ok, pankaj explain me about u.
ME: i explained him as usual.
HR: That was all others say, what unique u have.
ME: Tell him ur any quality with an example.
Couple of times i even denied agreeing with his ideas and i did put forward my points against
them. Though i was scared that he could feel bad about it but finally i was selected, never hide
urself they are very intelligent remember. When u will go there u will realise this.

TECH MAHINDRA PAPER ON 18th FEBRUARY AT BHOPAL
Hello everyone !!
I am in 6th semester. I gave my online test for Tech Mahindra on 18th feb07 at OIST, Bhopal
,there was no negative marking as told by Tech Mahindra people in the ppt. Time allotted was
60 mins for 75 questions(35 in all in the first 3 and 40 in the last 2 sections). The questions
were easy so the keypoint was TIME MANAGEMENT. Also, one section once attempted,

we were not allowed to go back to it.
The paper was divided into 5 sections:

1.Paragraph (Initially we mistook it for reading comprehension but it was actually a sentence
completion kind of a thing), for every blank we were given 4-5 choices and we had to select
one from a drop down menu, they had correct form of the verb, tenses type of questions, that is
basic grammar to be precise.
2.Multiple Choice Questions (Again ,since multiple choice was explicitly mentioned we
thought may be well have more than 1 correct answer for every question but we were
surprised to see radio buttons and not check boxes, so take it as select one of the 4 choices
given). This section had basic English again, if your vocab is average then you need not worry
youll easily be able to solve all. Lemme give you an example about how the questions actually
were :
Q : With which of the following words would you relate the word shimmer
a) Destruction
b) Water
c) Light
d) Fire
Also ,there were some more basic grammar questions here.
3.Fill in the Blanks :

Mostly prepositions and correct form of the verb questions.
4.Series completion of numbers and alphabets : This was a relatively tougher or you can say
time consuming section. Practice from RS Agrawal Verbal reasoning. Also non-verbal
reasoning, like which would be the next figure in a series of figures type questions were there
(hardly 2-3 questions of such type)
5.Quant Aptitude and Logical reasoning : Quant was easy, practice from RS Agarwal,
questions like :
Q :Two trains start at the same time from two stations 200 kms apart towards each other, they
meet at a distance of 110 kms from one of the stations. The ratio of their speeds is:
a) 11:20
b)11:19
c)11:9
d) none of these
Logical reasoning was also not that difficult, questions like (sorry I dont remember the exact
statistics) There are 6 people A,B,C,D,E,F in a family.D is the grandfather of A.E is married to
the lawyer......there are 2 married couples in the family....etc.. Number of males in the family
are :
So basically the test was not that difficult, the only thing to be kept in mind is that there was
SECTIONAL CUT-OFF ( that is for English and aptitude separately) and we were not allowed
to go back to the section again after leaving it once.

I was selected in the written and then we had to go to UITRGPV, Bpl for the interviews
immediately.
Technical Interview : It basically depends on your luck that which panel you get. First of all
make sure that you know exactly what you write in your resume. My file was checked
thoroughly, also may be because I had a lot of certificates and the interviewer when he took the
file from me said that it was very heavy (hehehe ;) ).Some people were asked typical technical
questions, some were asked puzzles and for some it was more of an HR round.
I got through in the Technical Interview as well and was called for the HR round which was
very short and sweet, the results would be announced today, so lets see whether I am lucky
enough to be a part of Tech Mahindra or not.

Hai,
It was my first interview and as usual I was very tensed
.But I thank to Freshersworld.com, to my seniors ,my professors and to my parents who
gave me all the support either moral or technical to get prepared for the interview .I
specially thank god ,who is my inner strength, my guiding force and always helps me to keep
myself calm. Just because of these supports I could prepare myself for the interview. The
TECH MAHINDRA interview included
1. ONLINE Aptitude test
3. HR Interview
There were totally 160 candidates in all. Out of these 80 got selected for the Technical and 48
for the HR. Finally 46 got selected which was, a history created in DATTA MEGHE
COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING.
Aptitude includes five sections:

1 . English (Comprehension, fill in the blanks,etc-3_sections)
2 . Puzzles and logical reasoning (verbal and non verbal-2_sections)
Since the apti was ONLINE be careful to ask the rules from the person describing it. It
happened that some didnt knew the rules and got disqualified there. According to ours the
rules were :
1. A user id and password will be given to you to establish your link to the paper. You

are first required to enter personal details then a page displaying five links appear as
was ours .
2. Then click on a link but be careful because if you dont like it you wont get another
chance to solve it.
3. After completing a link go to OK then FINISH. Then comes the home page where
you can establish the second link.
4. Just remember to note down your answers as well as the links you complete.
Dont worry for the questions because they are very easy and some basic problems from
S.DEVI and GEORGE J. SUMMERS will built up your basic. The English is the most
easiest part so try completing it faster. No individual cut offs were there.
Then there was the technical. The person there was very helpful and kind. He continuously
appreciated me for whatever I said. The technical comprised of mostly HR questions and he
may tell you to write one or two C-Programs. Be careful to update yourself with the current
affairs. If you dont know something admit it but never bluff. If you cleared the technical 90
percent of the job is done. If your performance is very good enough in technical your HR will
just be a formality for you as it was mine though they dont disclose to you.
I was finally selected. So friends be prepared to join Tech Mahindra as it has a high package
and having a employee friendly environment providing you all facilities even if you are
interested in extra curricular.

Hiiii friends,
there were in all 5 sections in the online test comprising of English,maths and puzzles.
1.ENGLISH
these were the simple questions on prepositions and verb; followed by RTC(reference to
context) and fill the blanks type of questions.
eg.
1. this ornament belongs ___ me.( to)
a total of 10 questions on verbs and prepositions.

next was the fill in the blanks. just 8 questions for a paragraphthis was very easy and
could easily be made out.
2.MATHS
questions on
venn diagrams
profit loss
average
speed
some of the questions were wrong and couldnt be made out.since there was no negative
marking so just make it out that wots the meaning and interpret it as you can. just attempt the
questions.
eg
1. 15 people,8 spk tamil , 7 spk hindi and 3 do not speak any language. then hw many spk
both.
2. if I have a 40 lt full of milk jar and I replace 4 lts with water consecutively twice then
wot amount of milk is left.
3. if bs salary is 25% less as to As then wots as salary to bs.
4. series questions
5. cipher text questions like if stupid is written as XXXXXX then hws YYYYY written

puzzles from shakuntala devi and gorge j summers.
just the easy ones,since time is very less so better you memorize the answers for the
questions that are given below.i m not giving the answers,I solved them but u better mug
them up, so that you do not run out of time and can concentrate on other sections.
1.
. if a vendor has X eggs and sells 50% + egg to first and 50% of the rest +1/2 to the
second and 50% of the left+ to the third and left with 3 egges and he did not cut
any of the eggs..what was the original count.
2. there are 4 people playing tennis, zita,her daughter,her son and her brother.given are
some conditions.who is the best player

3. A B C are three people and one of them is the muderer.given some conditions about the
detective and murderer . check who is who
4. in a family of 4, there is one singer and one dancer.given conditions
..who is the singer
3-4 more puzzles were there
few points to be noted are
1.no negative marking.
2 just one hour time.
3.do not attempt the section twice,actually the software rubs all your attempts as soon as
you click on the link again,so be care ful while you are attempting the test and the sectiuon.
the puzzles are in the last section.do keep a track of the sections you had
attempted.
4.if running out of time just blindly click on option a or option c, since during solving I
found that about 80% were having a or c as the answer.rest all is dependent on
GOD.
Technical was very easy and hr was a cake walk.
