1.0 INTRODUCTION
The existing Crude Distillation Unit in Fuel Oil Complex | (FOC |) was originally designed by
SIPM and engineered by Fluor Daniel. The unit, which was commissioned by SIPM in
1976, was designed to process 13,550 tons per stream day (100,000 BPSD) of Arabian
Light Crude, but historically has also processed Basrah Light and Iranian Light Crudes on a
segregated feed basis. Additionally, for the original design the processing units were
checked for their suitability for processing Arjuna crude at a throughput of 10,200 t/sd.
During the Cilacap Debottlenecking Project, CDU | was debottlenecked to process 16,094
tons per stream day (118,000 BPSD) of any one of the following crudes: Arabian Light,
Basrah Light and Iranian Light. Products include naphtha, kerosene, light gas oil, heavy
gas oil, and long residue. CDU | provides all of the long residue feedstock for the entire
Cilacap | Lube Oil Complex (LOC I/IV/ I).
