10 factual points about Second Hand smoke

Secondhand smoke harms children and adults, and the only way to
completely protect nonsmokers is to eliminate smoking in all homes,

Separating smokers from nonsmokers, opening windows, or using air filters

Dear, President of Disneyland Resort

I am a concerned Customer and frequent visitor of Disneyland resort and

Disneyland Park. I am writing to you to urge you to continue moving forward in the steps

Disneyland has made on their Smoking policies at this point there are now specific

smoking Areas in, which people who need to smoke have to abide in and attend in order

to smoke, my biggest concern is that these smoking Areas are still close to the public and

children and people are still receiving their second hand smoke, For example the smoking

area next to Tomorrow Land Train Station is extremely close to Autopia A ride were

children and adults can ride in self driven cars as the children are passing through their

first left turn theyre receiving second hand smoke from the people in the Smoking area

next to the train station. Also from personal experience when walking in front of the

Haunted Mansion I remember getting hit by the cloud of second hand smoke only to

realize there was another smoking area by the docks right next to were the crowd is

frequently walking by .Now I do not suggest you isolate smokers in a private room or as

far as possible from the park, but I do suggest and urge you to make Disneyland Park a

complete smoke free park. Reason number one being your position not only as President

of Disneyland Resort and over seer of Disneyland Park and California Adventure, but

also as a Current Board Director of Childrens Hospital of Orange County I am sure you
are well aware of the dangerous Of second hand smoke like Having immediate harmful

effects on the heart and blood vessels vasoconstrictions and Strokes, As well as long term

effects like Lung disease. In children the Effects are more severe causing Shortness of

breath, Asthma attacks, Ear infections and A greater risk for SIDS (sudden infant

syndrome) Respiratory infections like Bronchitis and pneumonia. I am also aware youre

a member of the Chancellors CEO round table for the University of California Irvine and

as youre well aware UC Irvine is now a Smoke free Campus even there parking lots are

smoke free since January 1 2014 creating a policy that counters the most preventable

disease on their campus, they have demonstrated leadership in the fight against Tobacco

use and second hand smoke, which was affecting their Students, Faculty and Visitors.

Now I Urge you in the position that youre in and with all the different titles you have to

Make a change to Disneyland Parks and truly make it the happiest place on earth.
