To describe types of severe weather (thunderstorms, sandstorms, tornadoes, and blizzards).
To identify the characteristics of each types of severe weather.
To do a booster about each one of severe weather.
To present the booster in front of the class.

Sandstorm A storm that happen in the desert because of the


strong

Thunderstorm A kind of storms that happen in the cloud and it made


by the electrics that is in two clouds.

tornadoes Is a large spinning happening in the earth or the


ocean and it made by the air, and it contact both the
earth and the clouds.

blizzards Its a kind of storms that happens in the snowy


weather and it happens by strong wind and the snow
covers most the thing in the ground.
Students Prior Knowledge:
The weather lesson is a new topic for them, they didnt take it before. Some students have
the knowledge from other ways, but not all of them.

Possible Problems and Misconceptions:


Maybe it will be hard for them to say the world.
They might not get the ideas of what storms is because the speaker in the video is too fast.

Solutions:
Teacher will ask Students to repeat the world after her, to make sure they can spell it correctly.
Teacher should stop the video every time to explain the video again and use simple world to make sure
everyone understand it.

Engage (warm up, review prior knowledge): time:10 min


In the beginning of the class the teacher will introduce the lesson by asking the students what is the
weather today? Students will answer that its a (sunny day)for example, then the teacher will explain
that it is a normal weather but that not happen every day. Then the teacher will say: There some days
were the weather is not good at all and too scary, which is called severe weather. Then, the teacher
will say the types of severe weather which are (thunderstorms, sandstorms, tornadoes, and
blizzards). After that teacher will play a short video about the severe weather (thunderstorms,
sandstorms, tornadoes, and blizzards). Teacher will stop the video to explain it in simple
words. Also the teacher will bring a bottle with a half of water and twist it to show a sample of
tornadoes.

Core (introduce and practice new concepts & procedures): Time 15-20
In main activity teacher will group the class they will be 3 students in each group. They will have an A3 min
paper and markers, and each group will have one type of severe weather to write and draw about it.
They can write sentences or only words to explain the storms.

Close (wrap up, discussion, brief review activity or assessment): 10 min


From each group teacher will choose one person to present the poster and discuss it with their
classmates.
