LESSON PLAN
CLASS DESCRIPTION
Level: Beginner
The pupils are between the ages of 8-9, both boys and girls and they are in the third year of
English studying.
TIMETABLE FIT
The class takes place on Friday from 8.00 to 8.50. The pupils are generally enthusiastic. The
pupils have 1 English class per week.
AIMS:
1. To practice the greetings by using them in short dialogues related to oneself.
2. To practice introducing oneself and a friend.
3. To revise the names of the colours.
4. To pronounce correctly the letters of the alphabet.
5. To say the numbers 1 to 10.

each pupils to introduce his/her deskmate.
T asks pupils if they remember colours and
tells them that they are going to revise
colours. T shows to the pupils a set of
flashcards containing the colours and another
set containg the name of the colours.
T sticks the two sets of flashcards on the
Blackboard TS

column with the colours and one column with
the name of the colours). T asks pupils to red
the name of the colours and match them with
the colours. Individual pupils read the names
of the colours and comes to the blackboard to
match the items in the two columns.

alphabet and to be very attentive at the

several times and then encourages pupils to

POSSIBLE PROBLEMS SOLUTIONS
Some pupils may be too shy to answer even though T encourages them to answer even though they
they know the answers. are not sure of their answer.
Some pupils may be very distracted from the T will ask them to take part in the activity and

Additional Possibilities
1. T encourages pupils to take part in similar dialogues using all the new knowledge.
2. T organizes different games in which the pupils have to point to different objects in the
class that have the colour indicated by the T.

letters of the alphabet pronounced by the T.
