1. Overview
This document is aiming to introduce the ATM/POS function and how to operate and how

to realize this function.

2. ATM/POS Function General Introduction
ATM/POS has two types: one is with protocol and the other is without protocol.

Without protocol: You can set via ATM/POS setup interface directly. You can set the frame

ID and field in the setup interface. The following introduction is based on this type.

With protocol: It means there is an xx lua script file. This file includes the content and

parse of the frame ID and the field. You only need to set data group, IP, port and record

channel respectively. The script has controlled the frame ID and the field; there is no need

to set at the interface.

ATM/POS function is for the ATM series DVR. You can go to the local end or the network

end to input the corresponding setup. Once there is message from the source IP to the

destination IP device, DVR can get this message, and then filter and parse. Now the

corresponding information (including operation information, and you self-defined

information) can be overlaid in the monitor window and then saved in the recorded file.
3. Setup and General Principle Introduction
a) Interface Setup
Data group: There are four data groups. Each data group has one source IP address,

source port, one destination IP address, and destination port.

Source IP address: The source IP address is the device IP that sends out the data.

Source port: The source port is the port number that sends out the data.

Destination IP addressIt is the device IP that receives the data.

Destination port It is the device port that receives the data. The port value ranges from

0 to 65535.

Record channel: You can set the channel number to overlay the information and enable

card number record file.

Frame ID: Frame ID is to filter the data package. It includes: frame ID starting position,

frame ID length, and frame ID content (It is called the Key at the Web). System can get the

data from the starting position you specified and then compare the data according to the

frame ID you set in the local end. If these two data are identical, then it is the valid data

package. System now goes to the field operation. If these data are not the same, then it is

the invalid data package, system just discards the data. Now there are six frame ID groups

in one data group. If your all data groups are the same, there are 24(4*6) frame ID. At the

local end, the frame ID ranges from 1 to 1460(It depends on the network message data.).

The length max value is 16. The frame ID max supports 16-digit English character.

Field: The field content is to be overlaid in the monitor video. The overlay data include:

the data from the sending data package and the title you specified. System first overlays

the title in the video and then overlays the corresponding data from the starting position

after the title. Each frame ID has four fields, that is to say, system can overlay four types of

contents. At the local end, the starting position of the field ranges from 1460 (It depends

on the data package limit). The length max value is 20. The overlay title has max 8 English

characters. The Web interface is shown as in Figure 1.

4. Function Introduction
a) Multiple-group Data Function
There are four data groups to get the message communication between 4 groups of

devices simultaneously. This function allows you to get the communication between A/B,

C/D and etc.

b) Multiple-layer filter function

System provides the frame ID to filter the message data in case there are too many

network data (especially encounter network storm). You can use this function to filter the

unnecessary data. In each data group, there are 6 frame ID, that is to say, there is 6-layer

filter.

c) Multiple-message Overlay Function

After the frame ID filters, there are 4 fields information, so there are 24 fields information in

each data group. You can specify your self-defined title and message content and then

overly them in the monitor video.

d) Semi dual-way Data Function

There are source IP and destination IP in each data group. It is to get the message data

from the source IP to the destination IP. If you want to get the two-way data, you can just

set two data groups. For example, if there are two devices: Device A and Device B. In the

first data group, you can set the Device A IP address as the source IP and the Device B IP

address as the destination IP. In the second data group, you can set the Device B IP

address as the source IP and the Device A IP address as the destination IP. Now you can

get the data between these two devices (either from A to B or from B to A.).Since system

can only display field information of one group in one channel, you can view these two

data groups in two channels. This is so-called semi two-way data.

e) Combined Search Function

For these two types (with or without protocol), there are two search modes. For the Web, it

supports these two types. While at the local end, system only provides one search mode.

Both modes support combined search engineers.

With protocol (RS232): You can set start time, end time, channel, card number, and

transaction type and transaction amount. You can set several search engines.

System can display the recorded results that match all the conditions you specified

here.

Without protocol (ATM/POS): You can set start time, end time, field and etc to search.

System supports max 4 fields.

Tips: system supports fuzzy search. You just need to input the last several number of the

card number, field or transaction amount. If you leave some values in blank, that is to say,

there is no filter based on this engine.

5. Operation
At the local end, from the main menu->Advanced->ATM/POS, you can go to the

ATM/POS setup interface.

At the Web, please go to Configuration->Additional functions, you can go to the ATM/POS

setup interface.

There are four data groups. You need to set the source IP (the device IP that sends out

the message) and then source port (the device port that sends out the message) in each

group. Or you can set the port value as 0, which can allow all ports to send out the

message. Then you can set the destination IP and destination port (the device IP and the

device port that receives the message.). Please set the overlay information and the record

channel. Please note, the source IP, destination IP and then DVR IP shall be in the same

segment.

Please select one group of frame ID. In the starting position, please select the message

starting position where system begins verification. The length is the file length from the

starting position. System then compares these data with the value you set at the local end

(the frame ID in the Web.) If these two are the same, system can download the message,

otherwise just discard. Please note, you need to input the frame ID, otherwise system will

not get the data.

Please go to the data setup to begin the field setup. The field information is the data

system overlays in the monitor video. For each frame ID, there are four fields to set. The

starting position is the position where the message data begins. The length is video from

the starting position. Then you can set your self-defined overlay title. In the interface, you

can also select the overly information position such as up and down. Once there is

message data, system can filter according to your frame ID setup. If the data is valid,

system can overlay the title and the data (the message from the starting position you set in
the field.) in the corresponding monitor video and then enable the card number record

operation. System can save current file to the HDD.

Please note all the above operations are based on the without protocol type. For the with

protocol type, you do not need to set the frame ID and the field. The rest operations are

the same.

There are four data groups. For each two data groups, the source IP and destination IP

shall not be the same. Please note the channel number selection here is exclusive, once a

channel has been selected by one data group, the rest other groups can not use that

channel.

There is a three-minute principle for the ATM/POS function. When there is message data

from the source IP address, the system can get the data and then begins the frame ID

filter, then enables the card number record and then overlays the corresponding

information in the file. If there is no message within the next three minutes, or after the

filter the message data is invalid, system automatically stops the card number record,

save current recorded file as an independent one, and removes the overlay information in

the monitor video when the three minutes ends.

If there are message data within the next three minutes, and it is the valid data after the

frame ID filter, at the same time, the message data from the starting position of the field

setup is the same with the field 1 of the previous message (Here just refers to the field 1

setup are the same. It has no relationship with the rest fields.) In this case, system records

current card number file with the previous file. There is just one file. Then system begins

another three-minute principle.

If there two fields are not the same, system just saves the previous video as a new file and

then generate a card number record file. Then system begins another three-minute

principle.
For the card number search, besides time search, channel search, you can use the field

information to search too. For with protocol type, you can input card number, transaction

type, and transaction amount to search.

6. Example
1. At the Web, from the Configuration->Additional functions->ATM/POS, you can see the
ATM/POS setup interface.
2. Select one data group, set source IP address as 10.6.12.9, the source port as 2700 (If

you set port number as 0, the port filter is invalid.). The destination IP address is

10.6.13.21, destination port is 6094. (If you set port number as 0, the port filter is

invalid.).

3. Use the network tools such as Iris to send out the data. Here we just use the Iris tool to

test the function. You need to install the Iris software in your PC and then open the tool.

Please open an xx.cap file or create a new file. You can select one item on the top

right. See Figure 2.

Figure 2
4. Please select the Source IP Address; you can view the corresponding hex data on

the bottom right. For example, if you select ip:10.6.12.9, system displays 0A 0A

0C 09 You can modify as your requirements. See Figure 3.

Figure 3
5. Please input the destination IP. See Figure 4.

Figure 4
6. Then you can set the source port as 2700. See Figure 5.
Figure 5
7. Please input destination port in the following figure. See Figure 6.

Figure 6
8. Please input the data to be sent out. Please select the Data xxx bytes and then input

the data at the right corner. Please note you need to follow the corresponding protocol

format. See Figure 7.

Figure 7
9. For your convenience, you can save current Iris setup. The next time you just need to

open the xx.cap file to test directly.

10. Go back to the ATM/POS interface of the DVR. Message data are shown as
