Eta Zeta Members Get
Reacquainted at the
Annual Salad Supper

Our yearly Eta Zeta Salad supper was held on August

28th at St. Luke Community United Methodist Church
in East Dallas.

Members enjoyed many delicious salads and desserts, as

well as fun get to know you activities. We all had fun
building the first verse of the Eta Zeta song from phrases
each one of us held (and then singing the song!) and
completing a Who Am I? game where we had to guess
the sister based on her answers to personality/
preference questions.

Members build the first verse of the DKG song from individ-
ual phrases. This was harder than it looks in the pictures!!
A BIG thank you to
Evelyn Hamilton for ar-
ranging the space at St.

ed Methodist Church!

The 2017-2018 calendar year began with a rousing Salad Supper held at St. Luke Community United Meth-
odist Church. Plenty of food and fellowship! The meeting opened with an Inspiration by Corresponding Sec-
retary Lisa Bagley, followed by reading minutes from the May 15th meeting by Recording Secretary Seretha
Merchant. Minutes were approved with two changes: one about the newsletter and one about perfect
attendance. 1st V.P. Mary Claire Welch initiated a discussion of the yearly calendar and meeting locations.
Meeting locations will be further investigated and will be announced once arranged. 2 nd V.P. Diana Gonza-
lez asked each member to bring person/s for consideration as new member. Corresponding Secretary Lisa
Bagley reminded members to email personal events or stories to share in the newsletter. Treasurer Sandra
McMillen reminded members to pay dues and explained options for dues. Sandra will be contacting mem-
bers by email about dues, as well.
Two social activities were enjoyed; one in which each member was given a phrase of the first verse of the
DKG song and asked to arrange themselves in the correct order for verse, and one where members had to
write their answers to questions and others had to guess the identity of the member. A possible fundraiser
of poinsettias was discussed by Mary Claire Welch. Members were informed for the fundraiser to be a fi-
nancial success we will need to sell 108 plants. More information on price and deadlines will be discussed in
detail at the September meeting.
