Resort Name: Joali, Maldives

Reports to: Director of Sales & Marketing

The Reservations & Yield Manager is responsible for both strategic and
tactical initiatives so as to maximize the revenue of the resort.
In this role the Reservations & Yield Manager will be working closely with
the General Manager and the Director of Sales. He/She will be responsible
for maximising revenue, market share and strategic coordination of
revenue management processes and procedures.
He/She sets strategic directions, determines pricing, creates promotions
and explores new distribution opportunities.

The Reservations & Yield Manager key responsibilities are as follows:


Work closely with the GM and DOS in rate setting for all periods.
Collate hotel reports pertaining to reservation or sales tracking as
designated by the GM. He/She Ensure that this information is
reviewed more analytically and disseminated to the sales team
Maintain overall responsibility of the reservations function for the
hotel
Work closely and manage the Reservations Team to maximize sales
opportunities in accordance with the budgets.
Actively involved in attending to reservation enquiries
Be empowered to utilise the Rate Grid as a basis for effective and

Be proactive involved in all Yield and other Sales Meetings.
Follow-up on all Groups, Blocks, Allotment, and room lists from
Reservations Team to ensure a full understanding of status & follow-
up
Ensure correct policy and procedure is adhered to in relation to
request for credit and liaise with Financial Controller accordingly
Participate in the compiling Forecasts monthly, with the assistance of
the DOS, to be presented and discussed in yield meetings.
Utilise yield management techniques to maximize occupancy,
average rate and room revenue
Maintain accurate room rate control and availability status, utilising
yield management techniques to maximize room revenue, occupancy
and average rate.
Communicate throughout the hotel all updates that related to any
reservations issues relevant. These include changes in room rates,
promotional specials, group movement, etc
Effectively manage and administer all contracts Accounts and
provide regular feedback to DOS
Preparation of quotes, issuing of contracts, communications, database
input and filing
Preparing of month end reports and monthly forecasts, anticipated
revenue forecast, yearly budgets, weekly forecasts and weekly
budgeting
Develop methods and initiatives to increase departmental revenue
within the sales team
Preferred nationality: None preferred

Age range: 30 40 years

Marital status: Single

3 years degree from an accredited university in Business


Qualification:
Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or
related major.
Two years or more of experience in revenue management or sales
and marketing.
Familiar with various Hotel booking platforms, CRM, POS systems.
Knowledge of hotel/resorts and policies regarding reservations,
Work Experience: discounts and detailed procedures in handling local and overseas
room bookings.
Advanced Microsoft software knowledge
1 Pre-opening Resort Experience
Experience working in remote island locations would be an
advantage
Experience working in top of the range large luxury resorts
Excellent command over written and spoken English
Strong knowledge of Revenue Management Systems
Additional skills: Proven demonstration of forecasting/analysis capability
Advanced Microsoft Office knowledge, particularly Excel
Excellent report writing, presentation and analytical skills
Strong organizational and work coordinating skills to handle multiple
assignments and projects
Demonstrated ability to work to targets and budgets
Capable of adapting to local conditions in remote locations.
Previous successful expatriation is a must.
Excellent Communicator.

Contract start date Immediate
and duration: Two years contract

Salary: Negotiable

Other benefits and R&R trip of 8 days (inclusive of two Days off) each per annum
