Next stop Ireland
All five units installed at ComEd will be disassembled,
and shipped via RO/RO ship to Cork, Ireland in early
September
Will be used on a peaking basis to offset winter peak
demands
The units will arrive Ireland in late September, and will
be split between two sites
3 units will be located at the Aghada Power Station, near Cork
2 units will travel north, to the town of Tawnaghmore
All five units will be converted to 50 Hz. upon arrival,
and will operate on liquid diesel fuel
Commercial operation date is October 27th, less than
60 days after shutdown in Chicago
