SETTING:
ACT1: 1979 in New York City
Act 2: 1981 in New York City

ACT 1: March of the Falsettos


-Marvin and Whizzer become gay lovers, Trina is
Marvins ex-wife, Jason is their son, and Mendel is their
psychiatrist.
-Marvin and Trina go to Mendel to try and keep the
family tight-knit.
-Mendel is attracted to Trina when she attends his
sessions
-Jason is worried that he would be gay like his father
-Marvin and Whizzer break up
-Trina and Mendel get together
-Marvin tries to salvage his relationship with his son

ACT 2: Falsettoland
-Intro to lesbian couple Dr. Charlotte and Cordelia
-Dr. C finds men dying its AIDS
-Marvin and Trina are fighting to plan Jasons Bar
mitzvh
-Marvin and Whizzer gets back together
-Whizzer comes down with AIDS; Jason decides to do his
barmtizvah in Whizzers hospital room
-when the recitation is finished, Whizzer collapses and
everyone is ushered out except for Marvin. They sing a
last song before Whizzer dies.
