Hey

Everyone,

Specials Schedule: Monday starts with A Day which is Library.

Important Tidbits:

Royals Field Trip is on Friday, November 17th. We will leave at 9:30 and return at 1:30.
Please have your child bring a disposable sack lunch and a disposable water bottle. We
will be outside for the tour of the stadium. Please make sure your child dresses for the
weather.
Genius Hour: We started Genius Hour projects. They will be due on December 11.
Accelerated Reader: Please sign and return the contract papers.
Head Lice: As cooler weather approaches we tend to see an uptick in cases of head
lice. Please check your child routinely for signs and symptoms of head lice which include an
itchy head, sores on the scalp, and the presence of live bugs or nits (eggs). If your child has
these symptoms please contact your health care provider for treatment
recommendations. Remember to also take steps to clean bedding, recently worn clothing,
sofas, and car seats. Also remind children not to share items like hats, jackets, brushes,
etc. If you have questions or concerns, please contact your school nurse.
Lunchroom Volunteers: please use the link below to sign-up and volunteer in the
lunchroom this year. There is nothing more rewarding and fun than helping students open
milk and fruit snacks!

Healthy Snack: Students can bring a healthy snack. Ideas include: vegetables, fruit, crackers,
pretzels, salted popcorn, etc.)
Water bottles: Feel free to send water bottles with your child. They can bring them out to
recess.
Optional Homework: Zearn is a website that goes along with our math curriculum. It has
fact practice, games, and lessons. It is a great way to reinforce what we are learning at
school since our new math curriculum has some new vocabulary and strategies that are
new to the students. The students should be familiar with how to get on at home. They go
to Zearn.org and use their unique login information. If your child needs me to share this
information with them again, please let me know. Then, they work through the lessons.
Below, I have listed the lessons we will be working on each day. Kids are welcome to do the
Zearn practice at home the day before the lesson is taught to pre-teach the skill.
o Monday: Module 3 Lesson 26
o Tuesday: Module 3 Lesson 27
o Wednesday: Module 3 Lesson 28
