Please accept this letter as my expression of interest for the Pathways Operations Leadership Development Program. The
program is a strong testimony to the Amazons core leadership principles and strongly aligns with my profile & career goals. I
am excited about the role as it provides me an opportunity to grow in the domain of operations and be a part of the e-commerce
revolution. As a proponent of change management, after working in operations and business excellence, I am convinced that
Amazons entrepreneurial culture based on high standards and ownership well resonates with my values & aspirations to grow.

A sheer desire to attain excellence in whatever I pursue made me work hard to join IIT-(BHU). The 4 years at IIT propelled me
to learn new things and be curious. My strong likening for processes & operations, developed during my internship made me
join the Piramal Group, Glass division.
At Piramal Glass Ltd as a manufacturing excellence manager, I have led teams of more than 20 managers & executives in many
cross functional improvement projects and brought significant monetary & process improvements based on PwC & CII
(Confederation of Indian Industries) Excellence Model. As a certified Black Belt practitioner in Lean Six Sigma, I have led
teams to drive improvements in production, out bound logistics, quality, and molding leading to winning various prestigious
National Quality & Excellence awards for the SBU (Strategic Business Units) and have gained savings up to 30 Mn INR. As an
executive assistant to the SBU CEO, I was responsible for delivering projects critical to SBU such as improving customer takt
times & executing operation excellence strategy for SBU with great success and in return it has taught me to always think big.

After a thorough understanding of the operations in a factory set up, I decided to join the FMCG arena in ITC LTD in the
corporate office. As a process excellence manager I have implemented various lean six sigma process improvements projects in
the personal care division by leading diverse and large teams in supply chain, new product development, marketing,
procurement & helped in identifying alternatives for patented products and thus have gained an overall perspective of the
business. With strong knowledge of lean six sigma methods, I have been able to dive deep into the business problems and often
have been able to deliver results, up to the tune of 2 Mn INR.
In this era of customer obsession, I learnt a lot about customer care while setting up and leading the customer care cell for the
personal care division at ITC ltd and have been able to eradicate some of the chronic customer complaints while working with
cross functional teams.
I am a practitioner of change & continual improvement. An acute knowledge of business excellence methodologies have made
me aware that excellence & change can only be achieved with improvements in process, systems & people. By training more
than 100 managers in lean Six Sigma problem solving techniques I have tried to inculcate the thinking of data driven project
management. Sustaining these business excellence initiatives is the toughest part of all and as a certified CII EXIM award
assessor for business I have been able to identify and improve the bottlenecks in the value chain and have earned trust from the
senior management.

My experience at business excellence initiatives has been further sharpened by the learning at ISB. Courses such as operations
management, logistics & supply chain management, project management, and market research have improved my understanding
tremendously. With knowledge gained from corporate finance and financial statement analysis courses, I seek to have a
complete understanding of the entire value chain. I believe that Amazon Pathways Program will provide me an excellent
platform to grow and with relevant operations experience and learning at ISB I stand to contribute a lot to the Amazons
phenomenal growth and in turn learn a lot in return.
