- The challenges and global competition of PT. Telkom nowadays are quite diverse.

From my
perspective, there are some things that can be considered to improve the companys
performance. According to the news published by Kompasiana entitled "Layanan Indihome
Telkom Indonesia Tetap Buruk", the internet Indihome service in particular areas was slowing
down suddenly or even cannot connect at all. Furthermore, there was a report of service
disturbance that did not handled immediately (Kompasiana, June 30, 2017 ). Indihome is one of
the popular internet service products owned by PT. Telkom, yet there are many complaints about
the service of Indihome. From this point, it can be concluded that it is necessary to improve the
IndieHome service so that consumers will not switch to competitor's products.
- In addition, PT. Telkom is about increasing the number of subscribers from 1 million subscribers
in 2015 to 2 million subscribers in 2017 (wartakota.tribunnews.com, July 13, 2017). The increasing
number of subscribers will require the increasing bandwidth, thus the data rate and network
availability can be maintained to satisfy users experience. The other important thing that can be
considered to face the challenges in this global era is that PT. Telkom must be able to provide

- The idea that I have to be able to achieve the vision of PT. Telkom is "Become the King of Digital
In the Region" the first is PT. Telkom must be able to reach all regions (all Indonesia in particular)
one way is by increasing the number of satellites Orbiting. This is needed because we will come
in to the era "Internet of Thing" where in this era all things can be accessed through smartphones
such as connect with smart home, smart car, business partners, and others (Edelman, Digital
Trends Report 2017). So that everyone wants to continue to connect with the internet even in
remote areas though. To make this happen it is necessary to launch a new satellite better so that
it can cover a larger area. In addition to the growing of digitalization in the era "Internet of Thing"
then also must be aligned with the security level of the existing network so that the security of
customer data contained in the company's data base cant be disrupted by the adverse parties.
As published in the digital newspaper page cnnindonesia.com with the title "Cyber Crime Kasus
Kejahatan Terbanyak di 2016" (cnnindonesia.com, 30 December 2016) on the news is known to
occur as many as 1207 cases of Cyber Crime in Indonesia. Based on this case I want the cyber army
team from the PT. Telkom because not infrequently the hackers in Indonesia especially using the
network owned by PT. Telkom is working with cyber army team from the ministry of
communication and information. So hopefully the case of cybercrime decreases, customer service
continues to be optimal, customer becomes calm and will continue to grow. No less interesting is
the idea that is about "Low Budget Internet for Education". That is the idea of low cost internet
with good quality for the students and teachers so that PT. Telkom also contribute to
technological progress in the academic field. This I think is a good idea because through the
internet a student or teacher can learn new things so as to develop their potential.

- To be able to help me in the digital business in PT. Telkom in accordance with my educational
background that is as a graduate of electrical engineering there are several theories of the courses
I take that directly relate to the digital business in PT. Telkom so I can implement in the world of
work such as Computer Network courses where in this course there are about materials of
networking, network model, network equipment, addressing, and network protocol. Where the
purpose of this course is to be able to build a secure computer network. This course is also
supported by others course such as computer programming and computer programming practice.
In the electronics engineering department there are also telecommunication basic courses on the
content of networks and satellites, digital signal modulation, and telecommunication signaling
analysis. This course is supported by other subjects such as signal and systems courses and basic
telecommunication practice. The purpose of the basic telecommunication courses and supporting
courses that can know the basics of telecommunications ranging from networking, satellite, to
the transmission and reception of telecommunications signals along with the disturbances that
often occur. In addition there are also digital system design courses, the purpose of this lecture is
able to design a digital system in accordance with the needs based on the development of the
digital era. This course is also supported by the other course like digital techniques and practicum
digital techniques. With the courses I took and with the determination and the real intentions I
believe that my educational background can be used at the work place so that it can help me in
growth and growing in the competition in the digital business world at PT. Telkom.
