Teaching Practice Task 3: Peer Observation

Learning Outcome positive environment, 4 considering individual differences and 5
timing)

Objective: You will identify good teaching and learning strategies. You will note teaching
strategies that your peer used that you consider very useful and you would want to use.
This strategy can deal with the use of materials and technology, the review of prior
learning, the motivation of the children, the presentation of the materials, the
appropriateness of the practice activities, classroom management strategies, timing
strategies, reviewing the lesson, general assessment of the learning. You should observe
for 20 minutes.

Teaching characteristic Comments

1. Organization Resources and materials were planned and used


appropriately within the lesson. This is because, the

resources and materials. student teacher prepared all of the resources that
students used before the lesson starts. Therefore, all of
the materials and resources were used matched the
learning outcome and the goal of the lesson (Identify
different types of weather). In addition, the student
teacher had an appropriate organization of content due to
the effective structure of the lesson.

2. Presentation Student teachers presenting skills was efficient and clear.


In which, first the ST clearly announced the goal and aim

4. Student response Students actively participated along with the student


teacher. In addition, the students teacher had a great

she ensured that students excitement and interest exists
within her lesson.

5. General observations Overall, I think that the student teacher taught this lesson
appropriately as a variety of positive reinforcement was
applied. Al though, I would recommend her to focus and
enhance her classroom behavior system since some of the
students were misbehaving and werent given warnings
and consequences behind their negative behavior.
