The children in this kindergarten classrooms love puzzles and as
the children learned about pumpkins, I also wanted to introduce
them to different colours. I wanted to create an activity where the
children will be engaged and will have fun learning the different
colours.

3 Objectives
1. They will be able to use different elements of design
(31.3) colours.
2. They will be able to compose pictures and colours using
two-dimensional shapes, (20.3) connecting the different
puzzle pieces together.
3. (7.3) Will be able to demonstrate strategies for engaging
in cooperative play in different activities, as they will be
able to connect the different color puzzle pieces and then
later putting their knowledge to the test when having to
colour the different pumpkins

Where will the experience take place?
In the classroom, at their tables.
Materials Used
- 9 different coloured pumpkins printed
- 9 different colour words to match the pumpkins
- 11 pages with 9 different pumpkins with the
corresponding colour written on it
- Pencil crayons
How will the activity be implemented?
I will explain to the children that they will have to connect the
puzzles of the different coloured pumpkins and once completed
they will then go to their table and colour in their pumpkins
according to the colour it says on the paper.
