Research, Development and Innovation

1. What area of research / development / innovation do you feel the


company should be focusing on and why?
A : Seismic Design Performance Based Design method, because not
many local engineer had the ability to this.
2. What areas are of interest to you?
A :Seismic Design, Complex geometry& parametric modelling.

1. What information do you think project leaders need to include when
briefing the project to staff?
A : Time line and the client specific need.

How do we communicate externally
1. How comfortable do you feel when you are communicating with
clients?
A : Comfortable, but could use more practice on face to face meeting
and presentation.
2. What can we do to help you grow your confidence
A : Presentation/speech practices/short course.
3. If you had a question, what % of time would you call the person v
email. What are your reasons for calling and emailing
A : 30% phone call vs 70% email, phone call only for urgent matters
with follow up email contain summary of the conversation
4. How comfortable are you with attending meetings and presenting TTW
design
A : Comfortable, but could use more practice on thinking on your feet.
5. Do the new TTW events help you in meeting new clients and building
relationships
A : not yet attend any TTW event

Group 2 Our Service


Consistency among groups and offices

1. Do you feel there is an inconsistency of design and documentation


between levels (or offices)?
A : I think in the Jakarta office, our design and documentation quite
consistent. Not sure, if we compare with the other offices.
2. What would you suggest, from both an engineering and drafting
aspect, that will create greater unity in the design and documentation
A : We need more opportunity for discussion with regard to engineering
& drafting between engineer & drafter with the other offices. Or may be
few months engineers & drafter from one offices can have experience
work in the other offices.

1. When communicating internally within TTW how do you communicate


with:
a. Other offices (eg email, phone, face to face)
A : Email.
b. Different disciplines
A : Email
c. Within your own group
A : Face to face

2. What do you feel is the most effective and useful form of communication
within TTW for:
a. General news / project updates
A : Newsletters
b. Project / work briefing
A : Newsletters
c. Social news / events
A: Newsletters
d. Committees / meetings
A : Newsletters

3. Do you have any comments / feedback on how communication is currently


conducted internally?
A : Should improve the involvement of engineer & drafter communication
with the other offices.

Group 3 Our People


Our work is to be enjoyable
1. What aspect of your working environment do you least enjoy?
A : Except for certain people, the social aspect is very poor, we hardly
knew each other outside the work we did in the office.
2. What do you enjoy the most about your working environment.
A : Our commitment and effort to produce the best engineering design
to our client.
