AdditionalMemoranda
- School FORTUNATO JORGE CORONA (41822) is located in a remote location in Las Marias, Puerto Rico. The main road to the
school is prone to landslides and damages due to Hurricane Maria devastation as well as continuous rains in the area.
- The school consists of 3 main buildings, 2 of them have 2 stories and a single story building. The building 1(B1) presents most of the
damage. This building contains the kitchen and dining area of the school.
- The damage to B1 consists in the main foundations, which clearly appear to be undermined by water/landslides. The grease trap
also appears visibly undermined by the slide.
- Other damages to the school are noted below:
-> The water cisterns (2) do not have proper coverage. The top covers were damaged/unavailable. Also the pipe connections
do not appear to be properly connected.
-> The fence behind the basketball court is fallen off, providing access to a dangerous zone
-> There is still tree debris inside the school
-> The handicap ramp is full with mildew, which presents a slippery surface when wet
-> There are walls with evident mildew and fungus
