MINIMUM ORDER VALUE: $15.00
ART CHARGES: Basic Rate is $40 / hour. Refer to page 22 for a complete breakdown of art charges.
SETUP CHARGE on all new orders: $10.00 (no setup charge on repeat orders)
REPEAT ORDER: Minimum 12 sheets.
COLOUR CHANGES on the same order are $10.00 per change
COLOUR BLENDING: Price as 2 colour
CUSTOM COLOUR MATCHING: $15.00 (please use PANTONE colour chart numbers)

Ganged Sheets
A ganged sheet has multiple units of a design(s) on each sheet. In most cases we allow half an inch around the
perimeter of each design for spacing purposes on a sheet. The following are ganged sheet examples:

Terms & Conditions

1) All orders are shipped F.O.B. 914 Queen Street, Kincardine, Ontario
2) Terms are Net 30 days to accounts with approved credit. Shipments to new accounts without credit approval are
C.O.D.. Interest is charged at 1.5% per month on overdue accounts.
3) Prices shown in the price list do not include any applicable sales taxes. Sales tax amounts are shown separately on
invoices.
4) Only authorized returns will be accepted. Authorization for returns must be made within 7 days of invoice date. All
returns of stock items are subject to a 10% re-stocking charge.
5) We cannot accept responsibility for errors on phone orders. Therefore we strongly suggest written orders for all custom
orders.
6) Our art department will prepare artwork for your approval. Art charges will vary depending upon the time spent on
the job and the detail of the artwork required.
7) We guarantee to replace any item that is defective in materials & workmanship free of charge within 2 weeks. Our
liability is limited to the value of Presto-Crest products only. This shall be Presto-Crest's sole responsibility for errors or
defects in the goods. (There are no other warranties)

Softhand
Our most popular transfer. When applied, this transfer splits into the garment creating a sharp image that is
difficult to duplicate with other screen printing methods. Softhand transfers are ideal for imprinting T-Shirts,
Sweatshirts and many other applications.
P.S.T. ( Presto Super Tuff ) Puff

This is a cold peel transfer with a hot melt adhesive Presto-Crest is the originator of this product. The ink on
that bonds to the garment when applied. These this transfer puffs out upon application creating
foolproof transfers are ideal for TEAM UNIFORMS and unique designs on garments and hats. Multi-colour
will apply to most fabrics (Light or Dark). puff designs are a combination of one colour puff with
the remaining colours done in Softhand.

Flock / Velva -Trans
This is a screen printed flock fibre transfer that adheres to a wide variety of surfaces. Flock is ideal for custom logos
on seamed ball caps and garments. It is also a very 'rich' looking product and makes a fine alternative to embroidery.

New DIGI-MAX Digital Transfers - These transfers are digitally printed on a substrate with a clear mylar background for
easy application. These transfers will not crack or peel and are ideal for tough to print garments and stretch apparel.
Brilliant colour and opacity on any colour background make these transfers perfect for complex multi-colour logos

Our Laser Cutting technology produces a professional look design every time out. Most multi-colour designs are
kiss cut and pre-aligned eliminating the need to align foregrounds and backgrounds. We can cut a wide variety of

The following guidelines are provided to help reduce art service charges.
SEND US THE BEST ART WORK YOU HAVE

CAMERA READY - Always the best choice. This is generally black artwork on a white background. The lines are crisp
and have a thickness of at least 1.5 points. sampl e
DRAWINGS - Artwork supplied as a pencil sketch will need to be re-drawn in ink by our art department.
PHOTOCOPY - Generally photo-copies have to be re-drawn to make them camera ready.
GARMENTS - Clothing can be supplied as reference. However, fabrics stretch, shrink and distort the image. Please
try to supply us with a dark print on a light garment or a light print on a dark garment.
FAX - A fax is fine as a rough sketch or to indicate placement. The jagged edges and general distortion of a fax
almost always require additional work by our artists. Usually, the artwork must be re-created from scratch.
SIZE - Always send us the largest copy of your logo available.
INDICATING COLOUR - When showing us where colours are to be placed use a copy of the original and colour it in.
A tracing paper overlay is also fine. Arrows can be used but please use them on a copy and not the original artwork.
COMPUTER GENERATED ARTWORK

The Presto-Crest art department can handle computer generated artwork on both the PC and MACINTOSH
platforms with some restrictions. Please fax or send a copy of the artwork to insure that the computer file we
received is exactly how the final product should look. A .jpg file is also acceptable as reference only.
SENDING US COMPUTER FILES - You can send artwork files to our email address: graphics@prestocrest.com
MACINTOSH FILES - Please save your design in Adobe Illustrator format (version CS3 or lower).
PC FILES - Please save your design in CorelDraw or Adobe Illustrator (version 13 (X3) or lower).
BOTH PLATFORMS - A vector .eps file or an editable .pdf is acceptable.
For a computer generated artwork file to be considered 'camera ready' the following criteria must be met:
1) Coloured artwork should be supplied in a vectored (line-art) format. Raster file types such as .jpg, .gif, etc. must
generally be recreated from scratch by our art department before we can colour separate them.
2) All colours in your artwork should be SPOT COLOUR, not 4 COLOUR PROCESS (CMYK).
3) Each colour in the design should only be assigned one distinct Pantone number. Also, if your design includes
white please make sure that it has been assigned it's own Pantone number.
4) Please convert ALL text in your artwork file to curves (Corel) or outlines (Adobe Illustrator). If you are unfamiliar
with these terms consult your program documentation. This will eliminate the chance of the computer -
substituting the wrong type font at our end.
5) If your file includes 'placed' images please make sure you include them separately or embed them into the file
if your program allows it.
6) All line weights must have a thickness of 1.5 points or higher.
Any variation from these recommendations may result in an additional art charge as we have to spend time making
the artwork compatible with the screen printing process.

Your art charge depends on the time spent by our art department to bring it to a camera ready or reproducible
level. The time spent depends on the detail and quality of the copy supplied.
Art time is charged at $40.00 per hour or $10.00 per 1/4 hour.
Where film is not provided a set-up charge of $5.00 per unit is charged on all ganged sheets to a maximum of
$30.00 per order.

Specific Tips
1) 100% Acrylic Fabric - Reduce the temperature to 300 degrees F.
2) 100% Stretch Nylon Fabric - Increase pressure as shown on chart.
3) Since all materials are of a different knit you must adjust the 'PRESSURE' according to the knit of the
material.
LOOSE or OPEN KNIT - Medium Pressure - 35 P.S.I.
TIGHT or CLOSE KNIT - Heavy Pressure - 50 P.S.I.
General Tips
The following comments are general in nature.
Successful application of a transfer is the result of having the correct TIME, PRESSURE and
TEMPERATURE. Generally, when applying a transfer there are minimum requirements for each
product which must be met. Please follow these guidelines for a successful print every time.
1) Always pre-heat the garment by lowering the heat platen on to the garment for a couple of
seconds. This is necessary since many types of fabric tend to shrink slightly when heat is applied.
Pre-heating the garment helps to avoid a 'blurred' effect in the print.
2) Check your heat seal machine temperature regularly using thermo-tape strips.
3) Pre-test transfers on scrap fabric whenever possible.
4) When printing 'mesh' shirts use a teflon slip sheet between the layers of fabric or slide the shirts over
and under the base pad, with a teflon sheet taped to the base pad.
5) Reduce pressure when printing light coloured inks on dark coloured fabric to avoid colour being
lost into the fabric.
6) In some cases when applying cold peel cap transfers, the transfer tends to lift on the corners. To
avoid this rub the transfer or hold it down with a cloth for a few seconds after lifting the platen.
7) Whenever a teflon sheet is placed over a print during application, add 10 degrees or 2
seconds to the otherwise recommended settings.
8) It is a good habit to make a list of the various materials which are commonly used in your
cresting department and make a note of the time and pressure required for each.
