Introduction

On behalf of the Atmel Applications Support Teams, we would like to thank you for
attending this training.
We will provide the Atmel SAM4L-EK kit and RF231 2.4 GHz Radio Transceivers for
the training.
In order to start the different hands-on sessions, we need to ensure that youve
already installed the necessary SW & Tools on your computer.
Please follow the instructions described in this document to help you.

1. Hardware Pre-requisites

1.1 Atmel SAM4L-EK

This kit will be provided during the Training.

1.2 Atmel RF231 2.4 GHz Radio Transceivers

1 pair of AT86RF231radio transceivers with their 2.4 GHz antenna.
1 USB dongle for standalone point-to-point or packet sniffer operation.

These dongles will be provided during the Training.

2. Software Pre-requisites

2.1 Atmel Studio 6.1, ASF 3.8.1

Skip this installation if you already did it.

Install Atmel Studio 6.1

Go to: http://www.atmel.com/tools/atmelstudio.aspx
Download Atmel Studio 6.1 (build 2562) Installer Full
Install it

This installer contains Atmel Studio 6.1, Atmel Software Framework 3.8.1 and Atmel
Toolchains.

Atmel Studio 6.1 with latest 3.8.1 is now installed.

2.2 Latest J-Link USB Driver / J-Link CDC USB Driver (Segger)
This SW will be installed during the training.

2.3 FreeRTOS+Trace Tracealyzer for FreeRTOS (Percepio)

FreeRTOS+Trace from Percepio is a run time diagnostic tool for FreeRTOS applications.
This SW will be installed during the training.

2.4 Serial Terminal (PuTTY)

PuTTY is a free implementation of Telnet and SSH for Windows, along with an xterm terminal emulator.
This SW will be installed during the training but you can already pre-install it from this link:
