Week one:
Going to school and for the classroom at 7:30 (15 minute before the start of the first
lesson)
Getting to observe my MST teaching
Discussing with her about teaching the next lesson
Deciding to teach math lesson before my MCT comes as practice, so the children get
to know me little bit.
Discussing about the Wednesday lesson as well and decide to teach letter I.
In this day my MCT is coming for the observation for the first time
I choose teaching letter I form the option that my MST gave me
After teaching the lesson I thought choosing this letter was not the right choice
The lesson was good, everything from the lesson plan, the strategies, and the
activities were ready and organized
I wish if it was better, but thats totally fine, because I can improve in the next
lesson.
I prepared extra 3 activities in case the children finish early from doing one activity
Week two:
Doing usual things from the morning attendance and singing the national song and
so on.
Start teaching any new letter by reviewing the previous ones.
Teaching math and English every day.
Discussing with the MST about the lesson that I will be teaching in the next day.
Decided to teach letter R
There is no different option available for me to choose for teaching, except for math
or new letter in English.
I went to the school early because I have a lesson to teach. So I prepare my things
and organize it well.
I started teaching the lesson
I choose this time only one activity because we did not have enough time for the
book.
Nothing new or different for this day as well. It started with the same routine.
I discuss also with the MST about another lesson that I will be teaching on Sunday.
They inform parents in this day as well that next week will be a felid trip to Dubai
Week four:
Discussing with the teacher about a lesson that I will teach on Tuesday.
Decided to go with reading story for the first time in this teaching practice
Pick a story named flying kite
Prepare the lesson plan and the activities for it
I went early to the school because I had a lesson in the first class at 8:00
Organize my things and made sure everything from the activities was ready
I took the feedback from my MCT after finishing the lesson with the children
I recognize some mistakes in my teaching that I will try to avoid next time.
In this day the children were going on a trip to Dubai for little explorer
I attended in the morning and went to the classroom and my MST thought that I will
be absent because of the trip.
Then we asked the supervisor of the KG if we were allowed to go on this trip and she
said thats fine.
We went there and we had lots of fun with the children.
Week five:
Discussing with the MST about the next lesson I will be teaching
Children were having the last letter of the alphabet which is letter z
After fishing with the letters children will have new concept
The other day my MST gave the choice to teach either math or English
On this day I decided to teach the sound of the letter m
I looked for the curriculum learning outcome to make sure what to teach in
this lesson
I thought of some ideas for the activities
Day three: Tuesday 24-10-2017
In this day I attend early in the morning which is what I do usually when I have lesson
to teach
I went to the classroom prepare my things and the activities materials
I started teaching the lesson by reviewing the alphabet letters
I really liked teaching this lesson, the children were very active
They understood the lesson very well and they were able to write the letter by the
end of the lesson without tracing it.
Week six:
In this I taught a lesson about the word we and a concept of two of the five senses
The lesson went well and the children were good and they understood the concept.
The MST gave a feedback and some point of my teaching that I should try to avoid
next time.
Week seven:
Other than studding about letters and the sound of the letter which they do usually,
know theyre studding some concept like understanding what these words mean and
create a sentence with it: I, like, the, and, see, a.
The most difficult one of these words to the children was: a.
Children were distracted because they studied this word as a letter and they took
some times to realize the different.
On this I tried to collect as many information as I could that I will need for some
assessment when I get back to college.
I helped some student to write by their own and without tracing, they spend so
many times and the outcome was good, so its worth it.
On this day I inform my MST that she could come to our collage to be part of an
event.
She was very excited to come, so I added her information in the site.
Other than this, on this day I help two of low level student to write full sentence
without tracing, which I was so proud of.
