Alpha Adhesives & Sealants Ltd founded in 1987. The aim of providing quality
Adhesives, Sealants and Coatings. Alpha Adhesives & Sealants Ltd has become one of the
UKs leading manufacturers. Centrally based in Worcestershire Alpha dispatches all over the
UK and Worldwide.

The Companys success across a varied and wide Industry base has been generated
from its high specification products, together with the high standard of customer service
provided.

In 2004 Alpha purchased the Industrial Adhesives Division of Dunlop and has since
manufactured this well-known and established product range to include Thixofix, S1358,
S5001 and so on. Dunlops history dates back to the early 1900s and Alpha is proud to have
been able to incorporate Dunlop products into the existing Alpha brand name.

PVA- Designed for book repair, this medium viscosity, high solids PVA adheres paper-

PVA- Specifically designed for the corrugated carton industry, this product, which
3 adheres Kraft and oyster white cartons, both printed and unprinted, machines well
and cleans up easily with warm water.

VAE Emulsion

VAE-1 General-purpose adhesive with excellent wet tack, superior machinability, high
heat resistance and flexibility. This VAE adheres to a wide variety of substrates,
from film to metallized film. It is used in many industries across the globe.
VAE-2 High solids VAE (68-70%) designed for bookbinding, but perfect for many other
industrial applications from paper-bag-manufacturing to automobile trimming.
This environmentally safe, low-odor adhesive glue contains no solvents.
VAE-3 Designed for laminating coated and uncoated paper stock, this VAE may also be
used for adhering cloth, wood, PVC, and glass.
VAE-4 Re-moistenable envelope adhesive; dries clear and glossy and is available in
various viscosities.
VAE-5 Premium, high solids, VAE copolymer emulsion glue for a wide variety of
laminating applications. Provides increased adhesive binding to substrates such as
polyolefin, Mylar and cloth as well as aluminum and other metalized foils.

Acrylics

ACR-1 A repulpable permanent that does not require hot water (steam) or high alkali.
PSA-1 must be repulped in tepid water at a pH of 6.97.1.
ACR-2 This glue has outstanding adhesion to PVC bottles and can be washed off the
bottle by sharp streams of water for recycling. PSA-2 also adheres to glass as well
as other materials.
ACR-3 A higher peel adhesion and quick stick version of TI-3 that will maintain good
shear resistance.
ACR-4 The premium water-based acrylic for tape work. Can be used on all films and
foams. High adhesion, high shear and high quick stick.
ACR-5 A very high shear, good heat resistant tape glue. It is recommended for PVC and
polyester. Can be used for laminating; die cuts cleanly. Can be coated at 3 to 5
mils wet without "oozing."

SBR Latex

SBR-1 General-purpose water-based contact cement.
SBR-2 Adhesive rubber specifically designed to adhere rubber to rubber, this SBR
product offers a strong bond, can be used to adhere rubber to leather and rubber to
metal.
SBR-3 Rubber cement; adheres porous or non-porous substrates.
 SBR-4 Solvent based contact cement; perfect for bonding veneer and leather; offers
strong bond; will not warp or curl at edges.

Natural Rubber

NR-1 Black natural latex rubber designed to adhere soles of rubber boots and other
rubber footwear.
NR-2 General-purpose natural rubber latex; bonds rubber to metal and a variety of other
substrates.
NR-3 Specifically designed to reinforce the backing of carpets, but may be used as a
general-purpose natural rubber latex.
NR-4 Specially formulated to bond fabric to fabric. Waterproof and machine washable,
this product eliminates the need for patching fabrics. Perfect for couch repair,
clothing mending, etc.
NR-5 General-purpose fugitive glue, available in multiple viscosities.

Construction Adhesives Sealers and Coatings

CI-1 This liquid floor primer exceeds ASTM 1042 and ASTM 1059
testing performance requirements; contributes to LEED credits; low VOC with
less than 250 gr/liter; color enhanced for visual application accuracy; can be
cleaned up easily with soap and water while still wet.
Once completely cured (dry), CI-1 becomes water and moisture resistant; can be
applied at temperatures as low as 40F; top coat can be applied immediately after
product is applied to substrate floor; zero down-time.
CI-2 CI-2 is recommended as a specialty coating and may be used as a base
formulation for adhesives and as caulk for wood, masonry, concrete, gypsum,
drywall, metal and a wide variety of other substrates.
CI-2 exhibits good low temperature film formation (40F) and is low in VOC
content; has excellent compatibility with diverse formulating additives;
contains 100% Post-Consumer Recycled ingredients. It is non-flammable, non-
hazardous, environmentally safe. It is freeze thaw stable and has low odor,
excellent adhesion, and excellent water resistance. CI-2 easily cleans up with soap
and warm water.
CI-3 CI-3 is a (VAE) copolymer emulsion designed for various crumb rubber
applications.
 CI-4 This water-based, environmentally friendly drywall primer, made from 100%
postconsumer recycled ingredients, contributes to maximum LEED credits, is safe
to use non-hazardous and is easy to clean up when cured. The product is freeze-
thaw stable, fast setting (dries to touch in 30 minutes); is easy to apply by brush,
roller or sprayer.

Dextrin

DA-1 White, non-toxic neutral pH paste; repositionable craft paste with excellent lay
flat characteristics and extended open time; adheres to porous surfaces and cleans
up with water.
DA-2 This borated dextrin adhesive can be used for case and carton sealing, labeling
and laminating. Its pH is 9.011.0 and viscosity is 2,000 cPS.
DA-3 DA-3 is a tan dextrin adhesive that is used widely in paper-to-paper applications,
from bag seams to cartons and carton labeling. This product is an excellent
general-purpose adhesive that complies with 175.105 indirect food contact federal
regulations.
DA-4 Specifically designed for laminating paper-to-paper board. Widely used in
industry, this dextrin adhesive meets federal regulations for indirect food contact
and cleans up with warm water.
DA-5 DA-5 is designed to adhere labels to corrugated cartons or fiber drums and is
water-soluble.

This is because the product relatively undifferentiated unless with its packaging. But its
required high innovative processes in R&D due to its varieties of application to compete the
global market environment. Internal development of chemical composition is required thus the
scientist and chemical engineer need to proactive to develop new technology of adhesives and
sealants. However, it has very low business development cost due to its testing process.
