INTRODUCTION
In this plant there are following major operations are performed.
The first one is designing the whole plant as it is in the field and
secondly filling of the bottle to the required level and then
transporting it with help of conveyor. After the end of a process,
the filled bottle is collected and the bottle is now ready to be
transported further for sealing and packing purpose. For this a
programming is to be done in SCADA system & another is to be
done in PLC System.
So automating a part of job, which involves tiring work, definitely
increases quality of work as well as result in saving of time. In
such circumstances, the person can even have the opportunity to
attend other work. Implementation of automation plays a very
important role in the output efficiency. In modern times when there
is paucity of time with one and all, the importance of Automation
with easy Controlling system needs no explanation.
OBJECTIVE
Automation, now a days have become in integral part of the
industry, say any production as well as process industry, it is
progressively increasing the productivity and the profitability of
most large organization by rapidly becoming more efficient and
competitive by their methods of production and management.
Small industries with small exceptions, is not progressing to the
same extended and their profitability is far too low for stability
and growth. The efficiency of small industries is however, of
vital importance to the economy of the country. They represent
90% of all industries, employ about half of those engaged in
large industries and produce nearly half of the manufactured
goods.
For rapid industrial growth in developing countries like India
which is basically a nucleus of small industries, it is of primary
importance to put the wheels of efficiency of these small
industries properly geared to accelerate productivity, to increase
profitability and to achieve this goal at present juncture is Low
Cost Automation as High cost Automation is not within the
reach of developing countries.

INTRODUCTION TO PLC

The Programmable Logical Controller (PLC) was invented in

response to the needs of the American automotive industry.
Before the PLC, control, sequencing, and safety interlock
logic for manufacturing automobiles was accomplished using
relays, timers and dedicated closed-loop controllers. The
process for updating such facilities for the yearly model
change-over was very time consuming and expensive, as the
relay systems needed to be rewired by skilled electricians. In
1968 GM Hydramatic (the automatic transmission division
of General Motors) issued a request for proposal for an
electronic replacement for hard-wired relay systems.

1) A Programmable Logic Controller is a special computer

Device used for industrial control system.
2) PLC is a MIMO system used for automation of
electromechanical process
3) It responds to the changes in process parameters within
fraction of seconds.
4) It offers flexibility to modify the control logic, whenever
required, in the shortest time.
5) can perform relay switching task
6) It improves the overall control system reliability.
INTRODUCTION TO SCADA
The term SCADA stands for Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition. A
SCADA system is a common process automation system which is used to
gather data from sensors and instruments located at remote sites and to
transmit and display this data at a central site for control or monitoring
purposes. The collected data is usually viewed on one or more SCADA
Host computers located at the central or master site.

A real world SCADA system can monitor and control hundreds to hundreds
of thousands of I/O points. A typical water scada application would be to
monitor water levels at various water sources like reservoirs and tanks and
when the water level exceeds a preset threshold, activate the system of
pumps to move water to tanks with low tank levels.

1) SCADA stands for Supervisory Control And Data

Acquisition .
2) SCADA systems are used to monitor and control a plant in
industries.

3) Maximizes Productivity and ensures continues production.

4) It analyze and control the quality of manufactured products
using standard SCADA functionality.
5) Fewer personnel are required to monitor and less
maintenance is required.
6) It is easier to troubleshoot in SACADA.
MERITS OF PROJECT

1) It reduces the Human Efforts.

2) It requires small space.
3) It enhance the delivery rate of production.
4) It reduces the Manufacturing cost
5) It greately helps in reducing the Waste.
