ROHINGYA REFUGEE CRISIS

FUNDING OVERVIEW
As of 16 October 2017

The humanitarian needs created by the massive influx of Rohingya refugees into Bangladesh that began on 25 August have
continued to grow. The preliminary inter-agency response plan issued on 7 September called for $77.1M to respond to the
needs of people crossing the border. Due to the unprecedented volume of new arrivals and the immense strain on
infrastructure, services and the host population, the revised response plan for the crisis requests $434M to provide life-saving
assistance to Rohingya refugees and Bangladeshi host communities from September to the end of February 2018. The
following information provides an overview of the international response to this growing crisis and existing gaps.
