PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT
GLOVES: Impervious heat resistant gloves when manipulating hot product
CLOTHING:
Impervious clothing to avoid skin contact with hot product (wear apron or coveralls in confined or enclosed spaces )
RESPIRATORY EQUIPMENT: Use approved respiratory protection in confined or enclosed spaces when
handling hot product or when asphalt fumes concentration exceed permissable limits.
GOGGLES: Chemical safety goggles or face shield with hot product
OTHERS:
TECHNICAL CONTROL: GENERAL: highly recommended for all indoor situations
(Engineering controls) to control fugitive emissions.
LOCAL: should be used if hot vapours are a problem.
PROCEDURE IN CASE OF LEAK OR SPILL: If hot material is spilled allow enough time to
cool completely and place in container for disposal.
WASTE DISPOSAL METHOD: Dispose at a licensed waste disposal facility.

HANDLING PROCEDURES AND EQUIPMENT: In presence of fumes and mists,
wear appropriate respiratory and clothing protection.
STORAGE REQUIREMENT: Do not heat above 200C. When stored in tanks, there is a possibility
of H2S build-up in the vapour space above hot product.

SECTION 8 - FIRST AID PROCEDURES


SKIN: If contact with molten product occurs, flush skin immediately with
large volume of cold water. Obtain medical attention.
EYES: Flush eyes with water for at least 15 minutes.
Immediately obtain medical attention.
INHALATION:
Remove victim from exposure and restore breathing if required.
INGESTION:
Immediately obtain medical attention.
OTHERS:
This product is not a W.H.M.I.S. controlled substance
