I personally think that reading is a very important

activity in our life. Why do I say so?
Firstly, by reading we can get a lot of knowledge
about many things in the world such as science,
technology, sports, arts, culture, and social from magazine,
newspaper, and article, etc.
Secondly, by reading we can get a lot of news and
information about something happening in any parts of
the world which can we see directly. Nowadays, the
information can spread worldwide very quickly so we
need to know every news in short time. We can know the
news if we read from any kind of source such as article on
internet, magazine, and other available sources around us.
Another reason, reading can give us pleasure too.
When we are tired, we read books, newspaper or
magazine on the entertainment column such as comedy,
short story, quiz, etc. It can make us relaxed.
The last, reading can also take us to other parts of the
world. For example, by reading a book about the tropical
forest of Papua, we may feel were really sitting in the
jungles not at home in our rooms.
So, from the facts above, its obvious that everyone
needs to read to get knowledge, information and also
entertainment. In summary, we can say reading is truly
important in our life.

 A lot of Homework for Students is not Effective
The amount of homework given to students needs to be reduced for several reasons. In
short, time is limited in many students lives. At the same time, other students are showing
alarming levels of obesity due to sedentary lifestyles. Lastly, family disharmony has increased as
a result of stressed parents trying to get their children to do their homework.
Firstly, time is limited. Many students dont arrive home until 6 pm. This is because they
have chosen to play sports which require a few hours training each week or they engage in
cultural activities, which are often taught after school. By the time they have finished dinner,
showered and finished jobs it is 8pm. If they have homework, then it is too late to start.
Therefore it is fair to say there is not enough time after school to complete quality homework.
On the other hand, many other young people are recording high levels of obesity because of
their sedentary lifestyles. Why sit still at night when students have been sitting still in
classrooms all day? This is not good for their health and contributes to the high level of obesity
seen today.
Finally, homework places huge amounts of stress on already stressed out families. In many
families both parents are working and the last thing they need is to fight with their children at
the end of a stressful day.
In conclusion, homework should be reduced. We must recognize that students time is
limited, sedentary work contributes to the high levels of obesity and finally, homework can
cause an increase in family disharmony. The wellbeing of students is far more important than
excessive amounts of homework.

The Importance of English

Language is the mean of communication. Mostly groups of society have their own
languages. Some of them appear the top global languages. Most people in the world hear about
English, Arabic, and Mandarin. However English is the most global spoken language. Then if a
man wants to catch a global goal, he has to master English.
Everyone recognize that English is an international language. English is used in writing
and speaking by many people all over the world. It can be either as a first or second language.
We even hear British, American, Australian, and even Singaporean English. Those various
names of English are used as the first language in those countries. Furthermore, some countries
have their own languages as a mother language but also use English mostly in daily
communication.
Besides usage in daily interaction, English is also used as a key to open doors leading to
scientific and technical knowledge. No wonder we find manual guides and instructions of many
devices written in English. Even if we have a pack of instant noodle, we will see the cooking
instruction also written in English. This transfer of science and technology will include many
countries in economic, social and politics development.
Finally, the most easily seen in the importance of learning English is that most top
requirement in filling job opportunities is the ability using English; active or passive. Job
applicants who master English are more favorable than ones who do not.
The above facts prove that everybody needs to learn English if he likes to greet the
global era. Thats why it is obvious that English is very important.

Music is Important for Our Lives

Do you agree that music is important in our life? Yes I do, music has certain role
completing our day to day activities. Here are some reasons why music is heard everywhere and
anywhere.
Music is a way to express feelings. When we fall in love, the kind of music wed listen to
would be all about love. When were sad, we would go for music that is melancholic in nature
and immerse ourselves in the sadness. When were happy, wed choose songs with happy tunes
too.
Song can help to memorize the last experiences. A favorite song is a powerful
documentary. People with Alzheimer which are impaired the brain would remember details
about songs they were familiar with. For example, an elderly woman who couldnt even
remember her husbands name would remember the details of her favorite song; when it was
played, how it made her feel and things about the song that made it especially memorable for
her.
Further, music can unite people for a cause and changes the world. A song with good
lyric and striking deep chord can stimulate the universal feeling of all people. We can see it in
the case of the famous and legendary Michael Jacksons Heal the World. It can arouse humanism
of a lot people in this world.
So what would the world be like without music? It would be lonely.

transportation free, I believe that people will be more motivated

transportation. People tend to go to the work by using cars. The
cars they use become actually ineffective because they go to
work alone. Small cars have four of minimum seats for
passengers. When people use the car alone then this should be
considered as bad behavior because we need to think about the
fuel efficiency as well.
Main Idea 2 : It will help manage pollution in big city because it reducing cars usage.
Elaboration Secondly, the more people leave their cars at home, the better
fuel efficiency in daily usage. The less usage of cars can give
benefit for our environment because as we all know that the
emission gas from the cars that makes the number of air
pollution will slowly decrease. So I believe that free public
transportation cost will help manage pollution in big city
because it reducing cars usage.

Elaboration Furthermore, free public transportation cost will also reduce car
accidents. Why can this happen? When people use free public
transportation, the number of vehicles that contribute the bad
traffic jams on the road will reduce. People will be more safe to
go to their destination places because the road becomes safer
and more comfortable to pass.
