1. Introduction
1.1 Purpose
This Manual is going to introduce the detail operation of VMS system. By reading this
user manual, you can understand the function and basic operation of the software.
1.2 Object of Reading
Its suitable for enterprise end user of VMS platform rather than administrator and agents.
1.3 System Overview
CASTEL VMS platform (GPS tracking/managing system) is software &hardware
integrated system made up of GPS, GIS and wireless communication technology.
System manages vehicle security, real-time monitor through the network consists of
mobile GPS terminal, monitor center and wireless communication linkage; It can also
provide evidence for aid decision making based on industry leading GIS technology.
1.4 Operating Environment
IE version 7.0 or above, other standard browser such as Google Chrome and Firefox.

2. Features and Operation
2.1 Log In
Open browser, input http://www.freelivetrack.com/, go to log in page.

Choose language
Input user name, password

Login and Forget password

2.2 Password Reset
1. Input relative information as hints;
2. Note: If you have no security email, please ask customer service stuff for help;
3. Log in security email box, and click the security linkage;
4. Return login page to log in with new password.

2.3.2 Monitor Interface
Click vehicles icon on map, relative information

will be showed.
Vehicle real time information, click this item, the

map of vehicle will be zoomed in to max.
Split screen monitor, can monitor max 9
vehicles at the same time
Offline vehicle quantity, Online vehicle quantity
Alert quantity, click to open alert process

Uploaded photo quantity, click to open photo
management
Show tracked vehicle, selected vehicle will be
showed in the center of map.
Map tool: Roaming, Zoom in, Zoom out,
Ranging, Area measurement, Area vehicles
inspection, Print, Full map

2.3.3 Split Screen Monitor
Online vehicles are on blue font, vehicles info is showed on the bottom of each map.

2.3.4 History Track Replay
Click to choose a vehicle as below:
Input time searching condition then you can play the history track.
Operate to pause, stop, speed up and drag progress
bar.
You can add the track line to be a new route when replaying.
Click the vehicle icon on map, click Setting to set the route start time point when vehicle

runs to the wanted point. , the same as the end
point setting , then confirm.
2.3.5 Alert Processing
1) Click Inquiry in Alert Processing page as below:
2) Click Reset in Alert Processing page to return to default page as below:

3) Click Alert Process on the page, to change status of each alert as below:
4) Click Map Remarks on the page, there will be a blue icon on map to remark the alert
information:
5) Print and Export. It supports max 5000 pieces of alert for each excel document.
2.3.6 Take Photo
On Take Photo page, select a vehicle and set parameters.

2.4 Monitoring Setting
2.4.1 Area Yaw Alert Setting
In Area Yaw Alert Setting page, you can choose vehicle, area and route list, area and
route properties list; click Setting, Erase All Settings, All Vehicle Settings as below:
Several areas can be bind to one vehicle at the same time. Area, route and their
properties can be added in Map Management.

1) On Alert Setting page, you can choose a vehicle and do operations as below:
2) On Alarm alert settings, you can add 3 mobile phones to receive warning message
when alarm occurs:

2.5.1 Character Management
Character management can be found in System Management interface as below:
Click Binding Permissions to check features for each character as below:
When you add users in User Management, you need to bundle characters to each user
as below, which is named User Roles.

2.6.1 Fleet Management
Fleet management as below:
1) Add fleet, click Add button, input truck team name in prompt interface and Confirm:
2) Fleet modification, click Modify and input relative parameters as above.

3) Fleet assignment. Click Fleet Assignment button, click bind vehicles, left side is
vehicle, right side is vehicles of referred fleet. You can check vehicles on left side and
click to assign them to fleet; click to delete vehicles from fleet:
4) Click to delete several fleets at the same time:
2.6.3 Report Email Setting
1) Click to add new reporting email address and rules:

2.7 Map Management
2.7.1 Landmark Management
Click Landmark Management in My Map.
1) Add landmark. Click Add, you can input location or choose a point from map, then you
need to add other parameters as below:

3) Click Display Landmarks of this Page, all landmarks will be showed on map together:

1) Add. Click add button and choose parameters as required.

1) Add. Click add button and draw route by mouse:

2.7.3 Area and route Properties
Its to set area and routes monitor rules such as over speed, geo-fencing parameters.
Click Area and Route Properties in My Map:
1) Add route &area property: Click [Add] button, system prompt adding interface, you can
input data and click [confirm] button as below:

2.8.1 Detail Report
This kind of report only shows detail without statistics summary. Route Report ensample:
Inquiry: select vehicles, input condition and click , result is as below:

1. Q: System prompts No such user name or you forget user name.
A: Please call customer service line 00852-51072828 or contact your agent, support stuff will
provide your user name after verify your identity.
2. Q: I want to use Forget Password function, but I didnt write email when registered.
A: You can call customer service line 00852-51072828, support stuff will add your email to your
user information after verify your identity.
3. Q: System prompts Your period of service will expire soon, please pay the fees on time to keep
the normal use, thanks! when log in.
A: It reminds you that your period of service will expire soon. Please pay the fees on time. You
can call customer service line 00852-51072828 to consult.

4. Q: System prompts You have overdue bills, please pay the fees in time to keep the normal use,
thanks! after log in
A: Your bill is overdue. We will keep your account available for several days even it is overdue
so that you have a couples of days to charge. In this situation, you need contact customer
service hotline 00852-51072828 to charge.
5. Q: System prompts You have overdue bills, please call customer service hotline 00852-
51072828 to consult, thanks! and you cant log in.
A: Your bill is overdue. You must charge to continue service.
6. Q: The photo is abnormity on log in page.
A: Please use browser IE7.0+Firefox4.0+Google25.0+, refresh the website or call customer

service hotline 00852-51072828 to consult.
7. Q: Browser prompts www.freelivetrack.com:8081 wants to use your PCs location, how to

choose?
A: Please choose OK, your location will be set as the center of map in platform automatically.
8. Q: Whats the DMS button on the top? Why cant it be open?
A: This is a reserved gate to another system which has not been released now.
9. Q: Why theres no icon in vehicle list?
A: Please make sure you have uploaded vehicle image when input vehicle information, and
check whether the image size is suitable (25*30), if its too large, please change and upload
again. If the problem still exists after you re-upload the image, please call customer service
hotline 00852-51072828 to consult.
10. Q: How to modify existing landmark, area and route?
A: Platform doesn't support modification of landmark, area and route, you need to delete it and
add again.
11. Q: There is a time limit when inquiry report, what should I do if I want to check the data expire
the time restrict?
A: You can call customer service hotline 00852-51072828 to consult, but it would be charged.
