A noun is a word which names a person, a place or a thing.

A noun can be a common noun or a proper noun

Common nous can be countable or uncountable and singular or plural.

- Countable nouns are nouns which can be counted. They can be used with quantifiers such as
a, an, the, some, any, a few, several and many.

- Uncountable nouns are nouns which come in a state or quantity which cannot be counted.
They are always considered to be singular and can be used with quantifiers such as some,
any, a little, less and much.

*Some uncountable nouns can be used in the plural as well, depending on the meaning or

Singular nous are nous that stand for one person, animal, thing or place.

Plural nouns are nouns that stand for more that one person, animal, thing or place.

1. Adding -s to nouns. House houses

2. If a nouns ends in -ch, -sh, -ss or -x, Church churches
then add -es. Dish dishes

3. If a noun end in a vowel + y, then add -s. Key keys
However, if a noun ends in a consonant + Monkey monkeys
y, then drop the y and add -ies. (vowel)

4. If a noun ends in -f or -fe then drop the Calf calves
-f or -fe and add -ves. Knife - knives

5. Some nouns keep the same form in the Tooth teeth
