A. Course Design
Course Title: CAREGIVING
Nominal Duration: 786 hrs
Qualification Level: NC II
Course Description: This course is designed to enhance the knowledge, skills and attitudes
of Caregivers in accordance with industry standards. It covers basic,
common and core competencies in NC II.
Trainee Entry
Requirements: Trainees or students should possess the following
requirements:

physically and mentally fit;
with good moral character; and
can perform basic mathematical computation.

*Must have at least 2-3 years job/industry experience on supervisory/managerial level

3.7 INSTITUTIONAL ASSESSMENT

Institutional assessment is undertaken by trainees to determine their achievement of units of


competency. A certificate of achievement is issued for each unit of competency.
