COURSE DESIGN

COURSE TITLE : JAPANESE LANGUAGE AND


CULTURE
NOMINAL DURATION : 360 HOURS
COURSE DESCRIPTION :

The course is designed to equip the beginning learner of Japanese language


enough competency to communicate in simple and appropriate Japanese, as well as
enough knowledge of the language to continue language studies to a higher
proficiency.

The program focuses throughout on helping students to build up their


proficiency in the Japanese language. This course is designed to provide the
knowledge, skills and attitude in Japanese Language and of Japans society and
culture. It covers specialized competencies such as: speaking, listening, reading,
writing and expressing oneself in Japanese Language.

COURSE OUTCOMES:

Upon completion of the course, the trainees/students must be able to:

Read and write basic Japanese language


Receive (listen) and relay (speak) information
Conduct simple transactions
Communicate in workplace area
Observe and practice Japanese culture

Note:
By the end of the course, the trainees are expected to pass Level 4 of the JLPT.

Must have completed a Trainers Methodology Level 1 (TM1) or its equivalent.

Must have Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) N3 certificate.

Must be able to communicate in Japanese and English.

Must be competent in Japanese Language Culture Course either through training,


experience and certification.

Must be physically and mentally fit.
