Throughout the course of pursuing my masters degree, I have accomplished many goals and outcomes of the program through the different courses I have taken.
1. I learned in Health Assessment c to integrate comprehensive assessment, theory, evidence,
clinical judgement, research, patient values, and interprofessional perspectives in advance nursing practice for diverse populations and environments by completing many case studies within this class. 2. In Teaching with Technology I learned how to utilize information and technology to communicate, educate, manage knowledge, mitigate error, and support decision making for quality improvement processes by learning how think about what the learner will need and how to assess the design of the class to appeal to the audience. 3. In Analysis and Utilization of Research I was able to synthesize ethical, economic, legal, and political factors that influence health care to influence the organization and financing of health care and educational delivery systems by analyzing literature and review of evidence based practices. 4. In my Practicum and Capstone classes I have learned to collaborate to design, coordinate, and evaluate patient-centered health care as a leader or member of an interprofessional team by collaborating with key stakeholders to implement a way to keep patients safer and reduce the amount of falls that occurred in our facility. 5. In Analysis and Utilization of Research I was able to contribute to nursing practice to improve health care outcomes by translating evidence into practice by reviewing literature on how to reduce CAUTIs and implementing those measures. 6. I was able to learn in informatics to integrate evidence based findings for patient-centered and culturally responsive strategies for clinical prevention and health promotion for diverse populations and environments by reviewing evidence to reduce the need for telemetry monitoring within the facility in order to allow more availability of telemetry beds when in need. 7. In Health Care Policy and Ethics I was able to advocate for policies to improve health, access to quality care, and the profession of nursing by writing about the need to reduce CAUTIs and how that was important for quality care. 8. In Curriculum Design I was able to provide evidence of professional and personal goal development and activities by designing a curriculum that would benefit all types of learners and benefit the nursing staff at our facility. 9. In Foundations of Learning and Teaching I was able to integrate the 5 Cs of caring into my nursing philosophy statement in my advanced nursing practice.
