A flying spell that originated in
the Dutch countryside, this is
a simple, but ancient air spell
for traveling, sending, and
receiving thoughts and
wishes.
You will need a feather; any
feather will do.
Sit under a large tree, in a
quiet spot, on the ground or in
a chair; time of day is
inconsequential.
Holding the feather with both
hands, place your hands in
your lap and cross your legs
at your ankles. Relax and
imagine you are a bird, that
you were caught in a terrible
rainstorm, and that you are
now in a strong tree, sheltered
from the storm, a place of
quiet refuge. Imagine that you
are waiting for the rain to stop
so that you may continue with
your flight. In your mind, you
are planning your route and
what you will carry with you.
You are warm and peaceful.
Imagine that you, as the bird,
are the feather. Holding the
feather in your hands, you are
now also providing the refuge.
You are now the tree and the
bird. Your thoughts are now in
complete harmony and as the
tree, the giver of shelter and
protection, you are able to
convey your wishes to the
bird, the carrier of you and
your thoughts and wishes.
In your mind, speak to the bird
and convey exactly, in detail,
what it is, exactly, where you
want the bird to travel and
what it is you wish the bird to
carry. The bird will
understand, as the bird is also
you.
Once your wishes have been
conveyed, take the feather to
the tree and place it anywhere
on the tree, as long as you
place it above ground. In your
mind, as the tree, wish the
bird a successful flight.
Leave. Concern yourself no
longer with the feather, it is
but a feather left behind by
the bird, the bird that carries
your wishes, and is on its
way.
ATTRACTION LUZIAN
A sexual attraction spell from
southwestern France — used
to lock-in a lover.
You will need:
A metal thimble
A beeswax candle
A strand of hair from the
person you wish to attract and
keep
A strand of your own hair
This spell must be worked on
the night of a full moon only
and preferably just before
midnight.
Take both of the hairs and tie
them in a knot. Wind them
together and place them in
the bottom of the thimble.
Light the candle and repeat
the following invocation nine
times — no more — no less:
Fire hot--bind the knot,
Melt two hearts and make
them one,
If one should leave, we all
shall grieve,
For them that parts--their life
be done.

powerful spell. If you should
ever wish to break the bond,

you and the candles. Now,
place the fabric on the table or
surface between you and the

have of this person, animal or
thing and hold it in your left
hand. Close your eyes and
imagine being in total control
over the person, animal or

This spell must be performed
during a waxing moon.
Carefully cut the potato in half
and hollow out a section in the
middle of the potato large
enough to hold the beans and
the coin.
Place the dried beans and the
coin in the potato. Put the
potato back together, with the
beans and coin inside, and tie
the two halves of the potato
together with the twine.
Lay the potato on the large
piece of paper. Write your
wishes on the paper: a job, a
new job, a better job, a better
position in your current job,
etc. Write out in detail what it
is you are seeking.
Next, wrap the potato in the
paper and tie it securely with
the second length of twine.
After midnight, bury the
wrapped potato in a place that
will remain undisturbed. Do
not bury the potato before
midnight.
HEALTH PACETTINO
A health spell that supposedly
started in Italy, expanded to
Spain, and eventually found
its full potential in Portugal.
Karanina harvested this spell
from the Ivory Coast. This
spell brings health to the
worker of the spell.
Very Important: This spell is
an aid to the well being of the
spirit of the worker of the spell
and therefore, the individual's
health in general. Under no
circumstances should any
spell be used in place of
proper medical attention from
a licensed physician. Persons
who are ill or injured should

You will need:
Three beeswax candles
Seven white rose petals
A pinch of salt
A white envelope

Light the three candles.
On the paper, write your

One by one take the candles

paper. Next, take the salt and

LUCK OF 3'S
This is a luck spell that
Karanina obtained in Iceland-
its origins are unknown. It

You will need:
Three small stones
Three small coins
Three strands of your hair
A small bowl of spring water
A small cloth bag or a paper
envelope
This spell must be worked on
a full moon, as close to
midnight as possible.
Place the stones, coins and
strands of your hair in the
small bowl of spring water.
When the moon is full, place
the bowl, containing the
stones, coins and hairs in an
area where the bowl will catch
the light of the moon. You will
only need to expose it for the
one night of the full moon.
On the following morning,
immediately remove all items
from the water and place
them in an area to dry. Do not
force dry them-allow them to
dry on their own.
Once the items are dry, place
them in the cloth bag or paper
envelope and close the bag or
envelope.
Very Important: If the bag or
envelope is reopened, the
spell will be broken and the
spell would need to be worked
again with fresh items.

one single candle nearest you
and the other two candles
furthest from you. Place a hair
from your head on the table,
in the center of the candles,
and place the coin on top of
the hair.
Light the candles.

Take the hair and the coin
and place them in a small

AVOIDANCE OF 9’S
An avoidance spell from the
Carpathian mountain region of
Romania used to avoid
danger, evil or being placed in
an unfavorable situation.
You will need:
Nine dried apple seeds
A glass bottle
A two-foot length of any fresh
vine
Spring water
A piece of parchment paper
A teaspoonful of wild honey
On the piece of parchment,
write what it is you wish to
avoid—be specific. Roll the
paper and slip it into the
bottle.
Drop the apple seeds into the
bottle and drizzle the honey
over them.
Fill the bottle with water.
Place the cut end of the vine
into the bottle until it reaches
the bottom. Take the rest of
the vine and wind it around
the bottle, securing it by
intertwining it.
Place the bottle in a sunny
spot. As long as the vine
remains green, the spell will
remain in force. When the
vine turns brown, if the threat
remains, the spell must be
worked again and repeated as
needed.
DEATH'S DOORS
An Egyptian transformation
spell for smoothing
netherworld transitions, this
spell should only be used
when a person is almost
certainly dying. It is designed
to ease the crossing-over.
You will need:
A small photo of the person,
preferably in their prime
Several fresh leaves from
any plant
A small jar with a lid
Three coins
A piece of paper
A pen or pencil
A few drops of water

Write the dying person's name

FERTILITY CHARAZ
This is an old, Spanish,
fertility spell.
You will need:
One fresh, uncooked egg
A beeswax candle
A strand of your hair
A piece of fabric large
enough to wrap the egg
A sterile needle
Lay the fabric on a flat
surface.
Light the candle.
Lay the egg on the fabric and
repeat the following words
aloud:
Protector of the seeds and of
those unborn
Hear my plea!
I offer this of mine
That you might find favor with
me
Release to me from under
your protection
One you hold dear
That I might in your way of old
Follow your example
And nurture a tender life
With my blood, I swear this
oath
And seal my fate

Prick your finger with the
sterile needle and dab a small
amount of your blood on the
egg. With the burning candle,
drop some melted wax over
the blood. In the melted wax,
attach your strand of hair to
the egg.
When the wax and blood have
dried, wrap the egg in the
fabric. Bury the egg in the
ground, being careful not to
break the egg. Take care to
bury the egg in a place where
it will remain undisturbed and
unharmed.
HEX OFF
This very effective Scottish
spell-breaker can be used to
throw off any type of spells,
hexes or incantations.
You will need:
A beeswax candle
A length of twine about 6"
long
A sharp knife or pair of
scissors
A sewing needle
A metal pan (such as a cake
or baking pan)
Stick the sewing needle into
the side of the candle
approximately ½" from the top
of the candle. Light the
candle. When the needle falls
out, you can work the spell.
Once the candle has burned
down to the needle, hold the
twine tightly between both
hands and repeat these words
aloud:
Where you come from, I care
not
Where you go, best you be
gone
Leave me now and let it be
The bond is cut, so by this
done
With the scissors or knife, cut
the twine in half. Lay the
pieces in the pan, making
note of the freshly cut ends.
Take your candle and drip
wax over the ends of the
twine that you just cut to seal
those ends.

Next, take your sewing needle
and piercing both pieces of
twine, pin them together.
Keep the twine pinned and
put it in a secure place in the

MONEY CUP MAGIC SPELL
A wealth spell from Austria. A
good spell for accumulating
wealth.
You will need:
An earthenware cup
A small coin
A beeswax candle
This spell is begun on the
morning of a coming full
moon.
At sunrise, place the coin
outside where it will be
exposed to the rise of the sun
and will remain in the light of
the sun for the entire day. Do
not move the coin once it has
been placed in a suitable
spot.
At dusk, flip the coin over and
leave it alone while the full
moon rises. Do not move the
coin.
At midnight, begin the spell.
Light the candle.
Get the coin.
Place the cup in front of you.
Drip some wax in the bottom
of the cup and repeat these

From India via Finland, a spell
used to induce restful sleep in

You will need:

Four beeswax candles
This spell should be
performed at sunrise.
Trace the following drawing
on your sheet of paper: sleep
Light the four candles. Place a
candle about 6" outward from
the drawing in the direction of
each of the +'s and –‘s. You
will have the drawing in the
center of the four candles,
with one candle at each side
of the drawing.
Next, take the candles that
are placed near the +'s and
move them away from the
drawing about 12' more. Now
do the same with the candles
at the –‘s. Take the candles
that are placed by the +'s and
move them near the –‘s. Take
the candles that are by –‘s
and move them near the +'s.
You have just reversed the
location of the candles.
Extinguish the candles.
Write the name of the person,
whose sleep you wish to
improve, in the center of the
drawing. Place the drawing in
a hidden place in the room
where they sleep.
ANIMAL HEALING
A Brazilian spell from the
depths of the Amazon used
for healing livestock and pets,
and additionally, for easing
births of the same.
You will need:
A particle from the animal
(a hair, feather, nail-clipping,
etc)
A small, stone jar
A small stone
A sterile needle
A short beeswax candle--any
color
Spring water
Fill the jar halfway full with the
water. Light the candle. While
the candle is burning, repeat
this invocation:
Great earth spirit, guardian of
life, I implore you,
Turn your watchful eye to this
creature that you love,
Bring forth from the sky
above,
The healing power of the sun
and air,
I trust this mission to your
care.
Prick your finger with the
sterile needle and squeeze a
drop of your blood into the
water. Next, put the stone and
the particle from the animal
into the jar. Now, take the
candle and drop seven drops
of wax into the water. Seven
drops, no more—no less.
Extinguish the candle.
Place the candle, upside
down (wick down), into the jar
and place the jar in an area
where it will receive the rays
of the sun.
For births, this spell should be
worked about a week before

BIRTHING CIRCLES
From the Congo, a spell for
easing the labor of childbirth.
This spell can be used for
humans or animals and
should be performed at least
nine days prior to the onset of
labor.
You will need:
A beeswax candle
Sweet incense
9 lengths of twine, each
shorter than the next, with the
longest being no more than
16” long
The spell should be
performed during a waxing
moon.
Light the candle and then light
the incense.
Take each piece of twine,
staring with the longest first
and hold it so that the smoke
of the incense surrounds it. As
you do this, repeat these
words aloud:
Spirit of pain, with this knot I
bind you
Tie the ends of the length
together in a knot so that a
loop is made of the length.
Repeat this with each length,
repeating the words aloud
each time before you tie the
knot until you have eight loops
and only the shortest piece of
twine remains untied.
With the last length of twine,
repeat the ritual with the
incense, but repeat these
words aloud:
Spirits of pain, with this knot I
bind you all
With that last length, tie all of
the loops together, so that you
now have eight loops bound
by a single piece of the twine.
On the knot of the twine that
binds the rest, drop some wax
from the candle and repeat

Next, write exactly what
desire it is that you wish to
show an increase and to what
level you wish it to rise.

Sprinkle the favorite spice of
the person for whom you
intend the spell into the center
of the paper. Place the seeds
on top of the spice. Fold the
paper so that the spice and

Hide the bag or envelope in
the room where the person

GUARDIAN SPELL
A protection spell from the
early American Colonies,
Karanina wrote that she
obtained this spell from a
descendant of one of the
original settlers. This spell is
designed for protection of a
person's body and home.
You will need:
A beeswax candle
A number of small stones,
one for yourself and one each
for any other persons who live
in the home and for each door
or window to the home.
A metal pan
A sterile needle
Place the stones in the metal
pan. Arrange them so that
they are not touching.
Light the candle.
Repeat the following words

Of this blood, I offer mine
That all shall be protected
Let no evil come this way
To any here now bound
Prick your finger with the
sterile needle and dab a small
amount of your blood on each
stone.
Next, take the candle and
drop melted wax over the
blood. Allow the wax to cool

Place the stones in a safe,
undisturbed place as near the
center of the home as
possible. Leave them there to
ward off evil and danger.

pan will work)
Place the pan on a surface
that will not be harmed by
heat. A table is fine, but place
something under the pan to
protect the table.
Light all four candles and
position one at each inside
corner of the pan.
On the paper, write the name
of the person you desire at
the top. Next, write a brief
description of the person, as
you see them; you do not
need to be specific, a general
overview is fine.
Now write of your desire for
the person, the more detailed
the better-express all of your
feelings-holding nothing back.
Imagine you are telling the
person of your feelings and
desires while you write.
Picture the person through
your mind's eye as you detail
your desires.
When you have finished
writing, dip your finger in the
olive oil as needed to trace a
large circle on the paper.
Inside the circle, once again
dip your finger in the oil and
trace a second, smaller circle.
Inside the smaller circle, place
the strand of hair from the
person you desire and the
strand of your own hair. Roll
the paper, with the hair inside,
into a ball.
Set the paper afire and burn it
completely in the pan.
Extinguish the candles.
Bury the ashes near where
the person lives.
TRUTH DIVINER SPELL
An ancient Chinese magic
spell used to determine the
truth.
You will need:
One small coin for each of
the choices you face
A small round pan filled
halfway with water
A fresh twig, stripped of its
leaves
One small piece of paper for
each choice
Approx ½ teaspoon of tea
leaves
A pen or pencil
A lighter or matches
Take the pan, filled halfway
with water and place it on a
relatively flat surface, such as
a tabletop. Sprinkle the tea
leaves over the top of the
water and leave it undisturbed
for 1 hour.
After the hour has passed,
take one small piece of paper
for each choice and write the
possible truth on it.
After you have written the
possible truths on each piece
of paper, arrange them,
evenly spaced and face down,
on the table around the pan.
Make sure they are face
down--this spell will not work
otherwise.
Now take each coin and dip it
in the water, and after having
dipped the coin, lay each on
one of the pieces of paper.
Take the fresh twig, stripped
of any leaves, and cut or
break it to a length short
enough that it will fit inside the
pan with plenty of room to
spare. Do not allow the twig to
get wet yet.
With your lighter or a match,
scorch one end of the twig.
This scorched end is the
pointing end.
Hold the twig, scorched end
down, approximately an arm's
length above the pan and
drop it into the pan.
Allow the twig to float freely.
When it stops and remains in
one position, determine to
which of the possible truths
the scorched end is pointing—
this is your truth.
ARROGANT TORRENT
SPELL
A Chinese spell for bringing
humility to either friend or foe.
You will need:
A small clay pot filled with dirt
or sand roughly four inches
deep
A small wooden stick,
approximately four inches
long
A small piece of silk, 3” x 3”
A pen or pencil
An incense cone of a bitter
scent
To begin, place the incense
cone in the center of the dirt
or sand in the pot and light it.
Next, write the name of the
person to whom you wish to
bring humility on the piece of
silk.
Take the piece of silk, with the
person’s name written on it,
and wave it through the
smoke of the incense. Take
your time and saturate the silk
with the bitter scent from the
incense. This is very
important.
Once you are satisfied that
the silk is permeated with the
bitter smoke, take your stick
and push the burning incense
cone down into the dirt or
sand as deeply as you can.
The incense will be
extinguished and this is as it
should be. Remove the stick.
Next, take the piece of silk
and lay it, name down, on the
dirt, centered over the hole
that was created when you
pushed the incense down into
the dirt.
Take your stick and push the
silk just slightly into the hole.
Push it down just enough that
the stick will stand on its own.
Leave it just like that.
Every day, push the stick
down into the hole just a little
further. You will be forcing the
silk into the hole deeper and
deeper. Do not go too fast.
Take your time and push the
silk into the hole just a little
further each day. When you
reach the bottom the spell is
done.
DISCERNMENT SPELL
Believed to be a "Wisdom and
Knowledge" spell that claims
its roots with the Babylonians,
Karanina obtained this spell in
what was Persia.
You will need:
2 small, dried twigs
approximately 3 inches long
A length of twine
 A small amount of dry soil or
sand
Spread the soil or sand evenly
on a flat surface. Take one of
the twigs and trace a circle in
the sand or soil. Do not allow
the other twig to touch the
sand or soil in which the circle
has been drawn.
Lay the twigs on the surface,
away from the circle, but
parallel to each other. Do not
allow the twigs to touch at this
point.
Repeat these words aloud:
To one please grant the
knowledge and the wisdom
Of the earth and all that
belongs to it
To the other bestow the
wisdom and the knowledge
Of the wind and heavens
For me, I beg thee both
Do not allow either twig to
touch the circle in the sand or
soil. Place the twigs together,
side-by-side, and bind them
securely with the twine. Never
untie the twigs.
Sweep the sand or soil away.
Carry the twigs with you,
particularly when important
choices or decisions need to
be made.
HARMONIOUS SUN SPELL
This is a Mayan spell for
harmony and peace and is
particularly useful for the

You will need:
A small stone
A small feather

animal or human
A small fish bone
A piece of fabric in which all of
the above can be wrapped

This spell should be
performed early in the
morning, at the rising of the
sun and where the rays of the
sun will shine upon you as
you work the spell.

the person you wish to remain
in love with you.
Take the candle and drip
some wax over both of the
names.
Roll the paper while the wax
is still warm and tie it with the
twine.
Keep the paper in a safe and
hidden place.
POWER OF THE EARTH
From Malaysia, a power spell
that harnesses the power of
the earth. This spell can be
used to empower yourself in
any situation.
You will need:
A small stone
A small amount of soil or sand
A piece of cloth
A bowl of spring water
This spell can only be begun
two nights prior to a full moon.
Put the soil or sand into the
bowl. Fill the bowl halfway
with spring water. Place the
stone in the bowl of water.
Place the bowl, with the stone
in it, in a place where it will be
exposed to the light of the
moon. Leave it there for two
nights prior to the full moon.
On the night of the full moon,
remove the stone at midnight.
Wrap the stone in the cloth
and place it under your pillow
as you sleep.
In the morning, you must be
up before sunrise. Place the
stone in a place where it will
receive the light of the rising
sun. When the sun has fully
risen, the spell is worked.
Carry the stone with you
whenever you need to be
empowered.
ALLY INCANTATION
To gain another as an ally for
whatever reason desired, you
must first obtain a sample of
hair, nail, blood or bodily
excretion from the individual
whose alliance you wish to
secure.
At the midnight of a waxing
moon, you will need light two
candles. The candles should
be placed side-by-side on a
flat table or surface.
On a piece of paper, torn or
cut neatly to a circle the
diameter equal to a hand’s
length, write the following
letters in its center:

Light a solitary candle and
place it on a smooth bare
surface.
Taking a piece of paper, tear
it into seven pieces. Next,
write seven choices or
possible decisions.
Note: There will be many
times that one's actual
number of choices may be
less than seven. In this case,
one should create possible
options for the individual
choices so as to create a full
seven possibilities.
For example: Let us assume
that choice is to get a new pet
and you are attempting to
choose between a dog and a
cat. This is only a choice of
two possible pets. However,
in this case you will need to
create five more possible
choices without losing your
original choices. So, one
could write the following: on
one piece of paper, one could
write: black cat, on another:
yellow cat, on another: brown
dog, on another: big dog, or
even: get a cat on Friday, or:
get a dog at noon. In this way,
two choices can be sufficiently
multiplied so as to create the
necessary number.
When you have completed
your seven choices, lay them
face down in a circle around
the base of the burning
candle.
Rotate the candle, clockwise,
seven times.
Now, standing over the
candle, take a deep breath
and blow downward so as to
extinguish the candle. The
piece of paper that moves
furthest from the candle is the
choice for you.

fine cloth, large enough so
that the object may be
wrapped therein.
Upon the fabric, write with pen

And also the following words:
"To gain thy heart I keep thee

Wrap the object in the cloth
and bind it securely with a
length of cord.
Take two short candles and
place them near the object,
but at opposing ends. Light

To ward off evil that has
advanced unwarranted, be it
the work of others or devils,
one must begin with a
thorough bathing and
cleansing of the body after the
midnight, but before the rising
of the morning's sun.
Great care should be taken
that this be done lest the spell
fail.
At the dawn, having properly
cleansed one's body, and
whilst without having dressed,
one need stand in the center
of a well-lit room and face the
south.
Repeat the following
invocation, once in each
direction, turning from south
to west, then north and finally

FORCE OF THE FLAME
The intent of this spell is to
bring great pressure on your
enemies. The spell must be
used judiciously so as not to
bring unnecessary suffering to
the innocent and blameless. If
ill-used, the effects of this
spell can return upon you and
your life turned to misery.
Having accurately determined
the enemy and their actions,
the spell need be cast thusly:
At the midnight of a waning
moon, in a darkened room,
three candles need be lighted
and placed on the floor so as
to form a triangle. You should
then sit in the center of the
triangle, light a fourth candle
and hold it with both of your
hands. Close your eyes, focus
on your enemy or enemies,
and repeat their names aloud
only one time. Open your
eyes and stare at the flame of
the candle, focusing your
gaze at the base of the flame.

TALE OF THE TREE
An incantation that may be
utilized to uncover hidden
knowledge.
One must first obtain a twig
from the boughs of a mature
oak. The twig must be
stripped of leaves and bark so
that only the bare twig
remains. The twig must then
be allowed to soak in
rainwater for two full days,
thereafter removed and
allowed to dry for three days.
Only after this has been done
may the spell be worked.
A solitary candle should be
lighted on the eve of a full
moon. In the flame of the
candle should the small end
of the twig be blackened to
charcoal and carefully should
this thing be accomplished so
as not to overly damage the
twig.
Once the twig has been
sufficiently blackened on its
smallest end, a piece of paper
should be torn on all sides so
as to form a square a hand's
breadth wide and long. On the
square of paper, using the
blackened end of the twig
should be written what subject
of knowledge it be that you
seek. This being done, the
paper should be neatly rolled
and sealed with wax of the
candle.
The following invocation
should be repeated aloud:
Mighty oak of ages past
Watcher of the world and all
that passes
Impart unto me thy knowledge
That which has been brought
to thee on the four winds
And transferred to your heart
from the depths of the earth
Let no secret thing remained

As the light brings thee life

The candle should now be
extinguished. The twig and
the paper should both be
buried in the earth and
rainwater should be poured in
a circle round the spot of their
burial.
THE HIDING SPELL
This spell is best used to
secret away an object, but
often works well on a person.
Therefore, of all I speak to in
this spell concerning an
object, may it also be applied
to a person.
The object or person should
be as still as possible whilst
this spell is being cast. No
interruptions should occur
during the incantation and if
they do, the spell must be
begun anew. This spell should
be cast only at the midnight.
Begin the spell by first lighting
a solitary candle which the
caster must hold whilst
reciting the incantation. Next,
there must occur a sprinkling
of a pinch of a salt and
rosemary mix over the object.
Once you have the candle
and the sprinkling has been
completed, recite the following

THE SHADOW SPELL
This spell is used to allow one
to move or travel about
relatively unnoticed. Care
should of course be taken not
to unnecessarily draw
attention to ones self and
thereby break the spell.
This spell need be prepared in
advance. A small, smooth
stone should be acquired. The
stone should be of minimal
size so as to be easily carried
on one's person without toil.
The spell must be worked in
the dark and two candles
need be lighted and placed on
a flat surface such as a
tabletop. The stone should be
placed on the surface
between them.
Repeat this incantation:
Stone cold, without light
Hold the shadow of the night
Carry it through light of day
Out of sight and out of way
Extinguish the candle on your
left. Repeat this incantation:
Stone of earth, stone of shade
Into thee this spell be made
That no eye may notice me
Whilst traveling to wander free

right. You should now be in
total darkness. Pick up the
stone and whilst holding it in
both your hands, repeat the

TORN ASUNDER
To destroy the ties of an
unmatched or endangered
pair, is a serious undertaking
and all consequent
repercussions must carefully
be taken under consideration
before the casting of this
spell. It having been rationally
determined that the effects of
this spell are warranted and
necessary, one need proceed
as follows:
At the midday hour of any
given Wednesday, you will
need light a single candle and
place it on a table. A length of
natural twine, a hand in
length, should be laid on the
table. A small bowl of
rainwater should be likewise
set near.
Repeat the following
incantation:
Single candle burning bright
Bear two yet be one
(Say the name of one
individual)

air, on an eve of the waxing

SPELL OF THE CLEANSING
RIVER
This spell is to be used to
wash away bad memories
and cleanse the mind of
sorrow and pain. You must
obtain two bowls of water
from a river or stream and a
small, smooth stone from its
bed. The bowls should be of
equal size and each half-full.
A solitary candle should be
lighted and the bowls placed
on either side of it. Hold the
stone in your left hand (Note:
Do not touch the stone with
your right hand again until
instructed to do so). Bring to
mind those memories you
wish to be diminished and
finally swept away. With your
left hand, the stone need be
passed through the candle’s
flame whilst the following
words are spoken aloud:
Into thee my memories pass,
sorrow, pain and fear
And with thy washing clean
Be made to disappear.
Place the stone in the bowl to
your left and rub the stone as
if cleaning it, using only your
left hand. Remove the stone
and repeat the following
invocation:

stone until it tumbles no more

Move the stone to your right

hand, gently swirl the water in
the bowl. When the water
stops moving, extinguish the
candle, remove the stone
from the bowl using your right
hand, place it on a piece of
clean, fine cloth and allow it to
dry in the air. When
thoroughly dry, the stone
should be placed under your
pillow whilst you sleep. This
practice should continue until
your memories have faded
sufficiently to suit you.
GOOD FORTUNE
A spell designed to bring good
fortune.
This spell should be cast near
the midnight on the eve of a
full moon.
To begin, gather together the
following items:
Three fresh leaves of an oak
The dried shell of an egg
A small pouch of fine cloth
A length of cord to close the
pouch
A stone the size of a hen's
egg
Two candles
Near the midnight, as close
you can, light the candles and
place them on a suitable
table.
With the stone, grind the egg's
shell into small bits.
Place the three leaves on the
table, side by side, and
sprinkle the ground egg's shell
over them.

A spell to fortify one's self
against the advances of a
dangerous lover.
A sharp or jagged stone must
be obtained. The stone should
be small enough so that it
may be easily carried on one's
person and remain
undetected. A sharp edged
jewel suits the purpose well
and cleverly hides its intent. A
cut precious stone is suitable,
a pearl or smooth opal-like
stone will not do.
Four candles must be lighted
at the midnight of a full moon

night of the waxing moon.
You will need three sticks of
wood of equal length, a
hand's length each being

You must be out of doors
when the spell is cast.
On the night you wish to cast
this spell, go out to a quiet
and secluded place. One
need be seated, and if at all
possible, it be best if one be
seated on the earth.
Take some time and meditate
on one's desire, be it general
or specific.
Next, take the three sticks of
wood, and lay them flat on the
ground to form a triangle. In
the center of the triangle,
place your index finger of
each hand, tips side-by-side
and held firmly against the
earth, as if with both fingers
you are pointing in unison at
that one spot.

the most solitude. The room
should have a window which
can be opened, if not fully, at

spoken, close your eyes, clear

spirits as they enter. There is
no way that one may know
how many may come, but
remember that they should be
greeted, one and each, as
they enter. They may appear
as apparitions, or one may
only feel their presence.
When they have finished their
arrivals, you may
communicate with them using
only the voice of your mind.
RITUAL OF PROTECTION
FOR YOUR HOUSE
This ritual is to protect a
residence from bad weather
and vandalism. It also attracts
positive influences.
You'll need:
A beeswax candle
Lavender incense
A handful of cloves
A small green fabric sachet
Light the candle and the

Lay the fabric on a flat

Pour a splash of vinegar into

One small coin
A beeswax candle
A bottle cap, into which the

Light the candle.
Place the bottle cap and the

Take the candle and drip
some wax into the bottom of
the bottle cap. Then place the
coin into the melted wax.
Next, fill the bottle cap with
wax, so that the coin is
completely sealed in the wax-

Extinguish the candle and
then break it. Hide the bottle
cap in a place where no one
will ever find it. Make sure it is
in a secure location.

Rub the twigs with the sprig of
fresh Rue and then place the

Remove the twine from the

A beeswax candle
A sprig of fresh Rosemary
A sprig of fresh Rue
A small saucepan or pot
Spring water
Place the Rosemary and Rue
in the pan or pot and add the
spring water.
Bring the water to a boil and
then remove the pot or pan
from the heat. Remove the
Rosemary and Rue from the
water and discard.
Draw a warm bath.
Light the candle. Place it near
the bath.
Pour the water from the pot or
pan into bath and stir in a
clockwise motion with your
right hand.
Repeat the following words as
you enter the water:
"Spirits of health, spirits of the
Earth, water and sky. Bring to
me your strength. Give me
health and watch over me.
Grant me refreshment when I
tire and rejuvenation in my

Bathe in the water.

SHIELD OF FIRE
This is an ancient spell used
for protection of any location.
It can be performed quickly
and silently. It can and should
be practiced before
attempting in a new or
unfamiliar location.
To begin, stand still, arms at
your side. Close your eyes
and imagine you are standing
in shallow water and that
there is light below the
surface of the water. You are
calm, safe and secure. Now,
continuing to keep your eyes
closed, imagine that you are
raising and extending your
right arm and with the index
finger of your right hand, you
are pointing to a spot
approximately three to six feet
away from your feet. Next,
imagine that you are turning,
pointing as you turn, drawing
a circle around you on the
water. Do not physically move
—you are moving only in your
mind. As you draw the circle,
you see a wall of fire rising
from the water, encircling you
as you turn. It is shielding you.
It is cool where you stand—
the water is keeping you cool.
In your mind, you continue to
turn until you have completed
the circle and your shield of
fire surrounds and protects
you.
When you desire the shield of
fire to leave, simply imagine
that the light in the water goes
dark—the fire will disappear.
If you wish to protect a larger
area, imagine that you are
pointing and drawing a larger
circle. Keep in mind that the
larger the circle, the more
psychic energy required. In
addition, bear in mind that the
longer you keep the shield up,
the more psychic energy will
be consumed. Therefore, this

TRAVEL PROTECTION
This spell is good for

A white feather (a small one

A bowl of spring water
Four beeswax candles
A compass (if you are unsure
of where north, east, south
and west are located)
Place the four candles on a
table, one at north, one at
south, one at east and one at
west. Spread them out so you
have some room in the
center. Place the bowl of
water in the center of the
candles. Dip your right index
finger in the water and touch
the north candle on its side,
dip your finger again and
touch the south candle, then
the east and finally the west.
Next light the candles in the
following order: west, east,
south, north. As you light the
candles, repeat the following

When all the candles are
lighted, place the white
feather into the bowl of spring
water and with it, stir the
water in a clockwise direction
for about one minute. Remove
the feather from the water and

time in a counter-clockwise
direction for about one
minute. Remove the feather
and hold it above the bowl in

A beeswax candle
One fresh leaf (from any
plant) for each member of the
family
One straight pin for each leaf
A small bowl of spring water
Light the candle.
Place the leaves in the bowl
of water and allow them to
soak.
Repeat the following words:
"As the circle of life springs
forth from the Earth and
returns to be born once again,
so let the circle of life
surround this family."
One at a time, remove a leaf
from the water, roll it up and
stick a pin through it so as to
keep it rolled. As you insert
each pin, repeat the following

"Enter (name of a family

Repeat this process until all
leaves have been used and/or
all family members have been
named. Next, place the rolled
up leaves around the base of
the candle to form a circle. If
there are only two members

Once all candles have been
lighted, carefully hold the
needle with the tongs and
slowly place the tip of the
needle into each of the candle
