Future Authoring Essay

In the future I hope to exhibit many positive emotions on a consistent basis. I believe

positive emotion to be a very important link to happiness, I hope I am able to see the past,

present and future with optimism. As a person representing authenticity and genuineness, I think

it is important that my emotions be positive so that I can maintain my down to earth attitude and

strong connections and are important for keeping the relationships authentic. A value I see of

significance is well-being and in my opinion, mental wellness has some dependence on positive

emotions. Ultimately, positive emotions are going to be a important part of my future, allowing

me to move forward in life confidently, reaching maximum happiness.

In the future, my ideal engagement time would be working on personal projects, such as

creating phone applications. This is an activity that absorbs my attention in full, making it a

healthy way for me to get away from work and other stressful things that will be affecting my

happiness. I feel this will be the best way for me to spend my engagement time because coding

allows my mind to relax and become fully absorbed. This makes sense, because my main

character strength contains critical thinking and coding requires an abundance of this. This hobby

also allows me to work alone, and think on my own. This is important to me because one of my

main values is independence, so I thrive off being and working alone.

Relationships are going to play the biggest part in my future. My ideal future, I will have Commented [DJ2]: In my ideal future,

a very strong relationship with my significant other, strong relationships with my entire family,

strong relationships with my friends and lastly strong relationships with my coworkers. In my

relationship with my significant other, it will be very strong because once I have chosen the

person I want to spend the rest of my life with it will have been well thought through from every

perspective. My strength of judgement and critical thinking will cause me to think long and hard

before getting on one knee for a specific woman. I think this will work to my benefit because I

will need someone who shares the same characteristics as me, specifically modesty, humility,

honesty, and prudence. These are characteristics that I embody and are very important in my

eyes. Me and my significant other will share these which will result in an unbreakable bond. My

relationships with my family members are also going to be a very important part of my future. I

hope to be able to spend time with many of my family members, raising my kids with family as

my strength of perspective wisdom to give good advice and help my friends through tough times

ultimately helping them reach happiness. My relationships with coworkers will be in my opinion

In my ideal future, my meaning in life will be to provide for my children and raise them

I will develop a better sense of playfulness so that I can entertain my children and provide them

me to be very protective and careful when raising my children. This will most likely result in me

being the strict parent, just because I will always take the extra step to promise safety. I want my

is very beneficial to have a strong sense of independence especially around the age you go off to

college and start doing things on your own. I hope to maintain a strong relationship with my

children throughout my life and into the future, and mainly be able to shed some of my

perspective wisdom on them allowing them to learn many things throughout their life, and let

them know they can always come to me for advice.

would be able to reflect on everything I have accomplished in life and feel a sense of success, a

sense of being complete. I hope others will look and me and know the things I have

characteristics is modesty and humility, I believe that my accomplishments will speak for Commented [DJ11]: Comma splice

themselves. I want my children to be able to look up to me and see the things I have

accomplished, motivating them to set goals throughout their life so that one day they can reflect

on their accomplishments and will be rewarded the same way. Ultimately, I want my

accomplishments to result in me being able to provide for my wife and children, while being at

my peak happiness.

In conclusion, positive emotions, engagement, relationships, meaning and

accomplishments are five factors that will control my level of happiness and success in the

future. If everything worked out flawlessly, my life would be as described above, working to my

strongest characteristics and values, allowing me to be in a state of complete happiness.

You do need to elaborate more about the specific positive emotions you want to experience in
