From the Graph we come to know that, among 100 respondents, 32% of them are aware of the Birthday celebration
and 68% of them are unaware of the Birthday celebration.
Interpretation:
Most of the Customers are Unaware of the Birthday celebration and hence the Awareness Program must be still more
effective.

From the Graph we come to know that, among 100 respondents, 64% of the people came to know about the Offer
through ‘The Hindu’, 21% of them came to know through ’Times of India’ and 15% of them came to know through
‘Daily Thanthi’.
Interpretation:
‘The Hindu’ Newspaper is the most Influencing factor in creating Awareness of Offers in Big Bazaar.

From the Graph we come to know that, among 100 respondents, 12% of the People Visit to the Mall, 55% of the
People Visit specially to Big Bazaar and 33% of the People after entering to the Mall they come to know about Big
Bazaar.
Interpretation:
Most of the Customer Visit specially to Big Bazaar rather than visiting the Mall. So the Big Bazaar has a Good Brand
Image.

From the Graph we come to know that, among 100 respondents, 36% of the customers feel the Birthday Celebration
as Interesting and Highly beneficial, 47% of the customers feel Happy and Satisfactory and 17% of the people Feel
Not too Excited.
Interpretation:
Most of the customer feels Happy and Satisfactory about the Birthday Celebration. So further more steps had to be
taken to make the celebration Interesting and Highly Beneficial.

From the Graph we come to know that, among 100 respondents, 33% of the Customer rate the Overall Birthday
Celebration as Excellent, 65% of the Customer rate the Overall Birthday Celebration as Good and 2% of the
Customer rate the Overall Birthday Celebration as Not up to the Mark.
Interpretation:
The Customer has the Overall Opinion Of the Birthday Celebration as Good and Hence repeat their visit for
Purchase.
Recommendations:
• Most of the customers are unaware of the offers on the purchase of Rs.1299 and
Rs.2499 because the Announcement board is hanged on the top and it not easily visible
to the customers. So they suggest us to keep the boards on the floor such that it will be
clearly visible.
• Big bazaar should keep offers in regular intervals so that there should not be a long
term gap, because offer is the most influencing factor which is responsible for customer
purchase decision.
Conclusion:
The consumer’s preferences are changing & they are moving from Traditional Kirana stores
to Modern Retail outlet. It’s the main challenge to the Modern retail outlets to attract the
customers towards them from that of competitors. To attract more customers companies
have to carry out the promotional activities in unique way. BIG BAZAAR has maintained that
uniqueness & has succeeded in attracting customers by its famous less price slogan
‘Nobody sells cheaper and Better!’

• The study was restricted to only the customers of BIG BAZAAR, Royepettah.
• The result and analysis based on the customer survey method and small sample size
