Good morning kids. How are you today?


Today we will work together because we have activity that needs help from the whole class.
First, I have simple storybook that I read it last year. Ugly duckling it was nice simple story.
Time: 15 min
Whole

One day while the mother is waiting to see her eggs to break but one of the four eggs was bigger
than others. Then, it coming from the big egg the grey and ugly duck! While their mothers take
all her kids to enjoy in the water and swimming together, the grey duck was unhappy because
the others see him ugly. However, he go ahead and challenge the others even he was afraid he
still swimming in the sea and enjoy by his time.

Guided Experience (group working with the teacher)


I will explain in details for each groups exactly about how will they write what they understand
on the white sheets. First, the names of the storybook .You have five to take some ideas from
storybook. Tell what the events, including main characters, the place of the (the events that
happens), reasons to why happen these problems. What happen after that, (what you expect to
happen later)? You can write what more. Then I will select learners from each group in order
to choose storybooks but I will not saying to them thing, I will go with them later. About the
rest, I will let them to set in their groups.

Independent Experience (small group activity 1) low ability


Time:

I will explain exactly what to write on the sheets by adding their group names, first read the
story each of two students, write important information on the white sheet, such as, date or
year(if included), title, ideas, but combine the information from the whole group, then write it
on the sheet. It will be one sheet for each two students in the group and there is just five minutes
to do all that. You can discuss together. Finally, write on the sheet. I will include some questions
to be more helpful, such as, title, name of the storybook, important information, main
characters, year, and what are talking about in the story?
Independent Experience(small group activity 2) medium ability
I will explain exactly what to write on the sheets by adding their group names, first read the
story each of two students, write important information on the white sheet, such as, date or
year(if included), title, ideas, but combine the information from the whole group, then write it
on the sheet. It will be one sheet for each two students in the group and there is just five minutes
to do all that. You can discuss together. Finally, write on the sheet. I will include some little
questions, for example, title, year, main ideas

Next Steps in learning and teaching:
In the next literacy lesson, I will ask them to read the storybook they already have for ten minutes then
can begin to write about the storybook.
