1.

Describe the setting, the grades you taught and explain the purpose of this placement:
- I went to el Hayah kindergarten to teach a students who are in grade KG2. they
was between 5-6 years old. I teach them Math, Science and English. my MST
name is Fatima Khamis. My purpose of going to the placement is develop my
teaching practice and give the students new lessons.

2. How did you demonstrate professional behavior as a trainee teacher in the school?
- I tried to maintain my professional behavior as in different aspect in the classroom and
outside the classroom. For instance, creating an active activities that suits to all students
abilities, managing time while im teaching the students the lesson, attending all the classes on
time, attending morning assembly, helping teacher if needed.

3. Explain how conducting and receiving one formal peer observations helped you to
develop professionally?
- During my teaching practice. my MST told me that I have to change the level of my voice
while im reading a story for the students to let them feel more enthusiastic. So,
whenever I teach them a story I was changing the level of my voice to attract them. This
feedback from my MST helped me to develop my weakness on teaching.

4. Explain how you collaborated with other staff in activities that involve the community
during this placement.
- I collaborate with other teacher on the events that happened in the school, for example,
I helped the teachers in the Flag day by giving the students a UAE flag and prepare them
to sing the national song.
5. What difficulties did you face in planning seven differentiated lesson plans to ensure
that they included a range of activity types for the whole class, groups, and individuals
I faced some difficulties on hands-on activities because the students were in different level and
some students were not applying the activities in a specific time and they were not able to
finish the activities fast, they were taking long time to finish the activity.

6. Explain how you assessed the learning objectives/outcomes you set the students.

- After I finish the lesson, I ask each student to come up to the whiteboard and
answer my question. For example, if I teach them number 5 I ask them to write
the number 5 on the board, and from this method I can know if they were
learning it or not by writing the number in a correct directions or writing it in
backward.
7. Explain what you did to make sure that your modeling / demonstration of the tasks
you set your students was clear and effective.
- After I teach them the lesson, I separate the students into groups to to their activities.
so from this process I can observe them to make sure the activities are clear for the
students, one of the activities was providing for the students a flashcards with shapes
and clips, students must put the clips on the square and rectangle shapes only.

8. What strategies did you apply to maintain student engagement and how effective
were they in ensuring that tasks were completed effectively?
- Before I start the lesson, I showed the students a video about shapes to let them feel
excited about the lesson that they will learn it in this day. after that, I make for them
activity for whole group by putting some flashcards in the carpet and they have to
match the shapes. This activities will teach the students how to differentiate between
shapes.

9. Provide examples of how you developed student independence and responsibility in

your classes.
- To develop students responsibilities I gave them some work to do it by themselves and
take all the responsibilities of it. like, every morning I choose the helper hand to count
the students, write the number of the absents students, ask them to line up before
moving to wash their hands, monitor their behaviour all the day and tell me if there is
any bad action.

10. What strategies did you use to monitor student progress across a range of connected
teaching sessions including class, group, pair, and individual work
- during the activities, I was asking the students to make sure that they are learning. For
example, when they was doing the shapes activity I ask them to show me any square
shape in the class, and the students were pointing to the tables. so from this answers I
realized that the students are learning the lesson of the day.

11. Provide examples of and describe the formative assessment instruments such as as
anecdotal notes, checklists, Traffic Lights, photos, children self-assessment, Learning
Journey, etc.. you used to evaluate student performance in a variety of activity types
-I asked the students some questions that belong to the activities and I take some pictures of
the students while they were applying the activities.

12. Which teaching strategies did you find were particularly effective and explained why
with reference to educational theory and/or experience?
- I did for the students hands-on activities because I know that the kids love to explore
things. according to Maria Montessori The hands are the instruments of mans
intelligence (Hands-on learning, 2016) from this strategy of teaching, students will
improve their abilities, understanding and skills of a certain concept.
13. Identify and critically evaluate the influence of a range of stakeholders at your school
e.g. Ministry of Education, Principal, parents, etc.
- As a trainee teacher, Ive learn several skills from my teaching practice by interacting with the
school staff and parents. For instance, having good conversation with parents and be on time.
This abilities support me to be a good teacher in the future.

14. Explain how closely you were able to apply key principles from your own teaching
philosophy as a student teacher in this school?
- I applied my teaching philosophy in the KG by give them the opportunity to warm up in
every lesson to let them feel excited to learn more.

15. What would you say have been your particular strengths during this TP? Which areas
for development have you identified for next semester - justify this?
- in this TP practice, I have developed my last profissional plan by managing students
behavior using the reward system. next semester I will focus in how to make an easy
hands-on activities.
