Ttulo: El problema de prejuzgar

1. Vernica: Adolescente de 15 aos. Es la chica nueva del barrio. Parece agresiva y

antisocial pero en realidad trata de protegerse del sufrimiento.
2. Camila: Es la primera en conocer a Vernica en la escuela y en contarles a los
amigos del barrio su impresin sobre ella.
3. Pablo: Adolescente de 15 aos. Forma parte del grupo de amigos del barrio. Su
personalidad es conciliadora.
4. Francesca: Adolescente de 15 aos. Forma parte del grupo de amigos del barrio.
5. Rafael: Adolescente de 15 aos. Forma parte del grupo de amigos del barrio.
6. Doa Paula: Vecina del barrio de los adolescentes. Es la ta con la que ha llegado
a vivir Vernica.
ACTO I

Personajes que intervienen en este acto: Pablo, Camila, Francesca, Rafael y

Vernica.

Escenario: La calle de un barrio tranquilo.

Introduccin: Pablo, Camila, Francesca y Rafael son amigos del barrio desde la
infancia. Como acostumbran, estn reunidos conversando y pasando el tiempo.

Pablo: Conocieron a la chica nueva?

Francesca: Cual?

Pablo: La sobrina de doa Paula, se mud con ella hace unas semanas. Tiene
nuestra edad, quizs quiera ser nuestra amiga.

Camila: Vernica?

Pablo: S, creo que as se llama.

Camila: Imposible! Esa nia no puede ser amiga de nadie. V conmigo a la

escuela y es la persona ms antiptica del mundo.

Francesca: De veras? Pero si doa Paula es la persona ms amable.

Camila: No s por qu es, pero en la escuela casi ni logramos que nos responda
el saludo y eso que hemos tratado de integrarla.

(Vernica se acerca)

Francesca: Es ella?

Camila: S, (irnica) mira la cara de simptica que trae.

(Camila y Rafael se ren.)

Pablo: Shhh, no sean groseros.

(Vernica llega a una distancia cercana a los adolescentes)

Pablo: (A Vernica) Hola.

(Vernica no responde y sigue caminando.)

Camila: Disculpa, creo que no escuchaste el saludo, mi amigo acaba de decirte

hola.

Vernica: (Molesta) Djenme en paz.

Rafael: Slo queremos ser tus amigos.

Vernica: No me interesa ser amiga de ustedes, prefiero estar sola.

(Vernica sigue su camino.)

Camila: Vieron?, les dije. Esta chica es lo ms antiptica y antisocial.

Francesca: Si, Camila tiene razn. Si hasta tiene cara de agresiva.

Pablo: No s, a m ms bien me parece cara de tristeza.

ACTO II

Personajes que intervienen en este acto: Pablo, Camila, Rafael, Francesca y

Doa Paula.

Escenario: La misma calle del ACTO I.

(Los amigos estn reunidos. Se acerca Doa Paula con las bolsas de las compras.)

Francesca: Buenos das Doa Paula.

Doa Paula: Buenos das mis nios.

Rafael: La ayudo con las bolsas, Doa Paula?

Doa Paula: No es necesario Rafita. S voy a pedirles otro favor aprovechando
que los encuentro aqu.

Camila: Dganos, qu necesita?

Doa Paula: Supongo que ya se enteraron de que hace un tiempo tengo una
sobrina viviendo en mi casa, ella no conoce a nadie de aqu y como tiene ms o
menos la edad de ustedes, pens que quizs podran invitarla a hacer cosas para
que se haga de amigos.

(Camila, Francesca, Pablo y Rafael se miran entre s, ninguno se atreve a decir

nada y se produce un silencio incmodo que Doa Paula advierte.)

Doa Paula: (Entendiendo el silencio de los adolescentes) Mmm, veo que ya la

conocieron. Vernica puede parecer muy cerrada, pero es solo una fachada, una
forma de protegerse.

Camila: Protegerse de quin, si nosotros no le hemos hecho nada?

Francesca: Camila!

Doa Paula: Protegerse de la vida mi chiquita, esa nia ha tenido que pasar por
tanto Su madre era una buena mujer, pero no estaba lista para ser madre, as que

Rafa: No tenamos idea.

conocer su historia, pero lo vamos a remediar
