Comments:
Glows: Excellent classroom management with redirection when needed without singling out a student. Awesome job
maintaining their interest and keeping them engaged.
Grows/Ideas: When having them go to any area altogether always dismiss students a few at a time.

2. Instruction - Instructional Time


Intern has materials, supplies, and equipment ready at the start of the lesson or activity.
Intern gets class started quickly.
Intern uses available time for learning and keeps students on task.
Comments:
Glows: Excellent job having everything ready and having the parts of the story and the questions already ready for
discussion. Way to use the discussion to keep the lesson moving and for having the exemplar already ready.
Grows/Ideas: Use students to pass out supplies so that you can be monitoring students work or continuing with the lesson.

3. Instruction - Instructional Planning and Presentation


Intern establishes links with prior learning and experiences.
Intern arranges learning activities to support standards.
Intern appropriately uses a variety of teaching styles.
Comments:
Glows: Way to get them hooked with a question and discussion.
Grows/Ideas: Maybe let them act out a scene or share their examples to take ownership of the learning more.

Intern ensures that all students have the opportunity to participate.
Comments:
Glows: You did a good job letting students share their ideas, and picking on different students. Way to circulate the room.
Grows/Ideas: When circulating make sure to be giving feedback to students.

Glows: Way to share the outcome with the students.
Grows/Ideas: Write your objective or standard on your chart paper to refer back to as you teach or with the closure.
6. Evaluation/Assessment - Instructional Feedback
Intern provides feedback on the correctness or incorrectness of in-class work to encourage student growth.
Intern affirms correct oral responses appropriately and moves on.
Intern provides sustaining feedback after an incorrect response by probing, repeating the question, giving a clue,
or allowing more time.
Comments:
Glows: Wait time is really hard, but you did a great job waiting for students and giving them that time!
Grows/Ideas: Have an exit ticket or closure to wrap up the lesson and check for understanding so you can provide adequate
feedback to students who may have struggled with the standard.
Strengths: Areas on which to focus:
-Excellent hook question -Think about what nonverbal cues you want to use to give
-Way to maintain classroom control, your student students the idea of being quiet and highlighting the

The student teachers classroom management is very strong and very supportive. Learning was evident and the lesson
flowed very smoothly.
Was the Teaching Behavior Focus goal achieved?
The teaching behavior focus goal was achieved and students were able to place it in their folders to refer back to throughout
the school year!
