ABSTRACT

Petrokimia Ltd.,Gresik with its own power plant of 35 MW Gas Turbine

Generator (GTG), 37 MW Coal Utility (UBB), and Steam Turbine Generator
(STG EG-65 and STG EG-65), which generates the total power of 92.94 MW,
can fullfil their own need for electrical energy. From the total generated energy,
Petrokimia Ltd., Gresik has excess electrical energy (captive power) of 13 MW.
Petrokimia Ltd., Gresik planned to sell this captive power to State Electricity
Company APJ (= Network Service Area) Gresik Distribution. To determine the
need of electric energy consumption, the load forecast method of DKL 3.1 model
was used. Based on the load forecast analysis, until 2018 the electrical energy
deficit in Gresik Regency would be 45,15 GWh.
