Describe how you would use the Online Project/Collaboration Site/Publishing Opportunity in
your classroom: I would pull up a picture form the CNN website listed above. I would tell
the class to write out their own narrative based on the picture that is displayed and that it
would be published online at https://www.kidpub.com. After each student was done with
their narrative I would let them share it with their peers for editing and revision. Once
they are done, each of them would publish their narrative online for others to read.
What technologies would be required to implement this proposed learning activity in a
classroom? Computers, smartboard, overhead.
Describe how the following features are addressed in this learning experience (note: all of them
may not be addressed in the project, but most should be if you are reaching a high LoTi Level.):

beyond their school: This activity enables each student to publish their work
online and collaborate with their classmates as well.
b. Student-centered learning and knowledge creation (collecting original data and or
producing original products as a result of engaging in the project): Each student
will have their own narrative that is to be published on https://www.kidpub.com.
c. Higher-order thinking: During this activity students will be expected to create an

1
original narrative work, based on the picture that is displayed for the class.
d. Students publishing their original work to others who will use/care about their
product: After the student publish their work they will b able to access it online at
https://www.kidpub.com. They will also be set home with an original copy.
