OR CIVILIZATION HAS DISCOVERED THE PANACEA OR THE ELIXIR FOR A

MEANINGFUL AND SUCCESSFUL LIFE

Since long, after the periods of renaissance and enlightenments in various civilizations, be it
among the ancient Greeks, Indians, Egyptians, Chinese, Persians, Jews, Romans, Arabs,
Africans and people of the Far East, it has been an accepted fact that Wisdom is as old as
the rocks. Both the divine religions revealed on the Prophets and the Theories developed
by Human intellect have always made it clear that Books of guidance or Manifestos were
given to all the people irrespective of their class or creed or caste or rank in the social
hierarchy, but what has made the difference is the Gift of wisdom to some people based
on their aptitude and perseverance as God has always made it clear that He has revealed
along with His books of guidance, Wisdom (Hikmah), which every person has to acquire
through learning from the books or from the company of the Learned or through his own
efforts by supplications to the Almighty by living a life of rectitude adhering to His Laws in
consonance with His Will. The debate between Nature and Nurture has always stressed
that maybe genes may account for 10% for a persons achievements, whereas environment
or surroundings and upbringing accounts for the rest 90% for the flowering of the
personality. This may sound simplistic as the issue of chance or choice has to be kept in
mind since every person is more or less a product or victim of his/her circumstances. Some
remain prisoners of their times, while some can evolve ahead of others. Here change is both
internal and also external. The main issues of contention are about equality, freedom,
opportunity and connectivity. To be fair none are absolute but, Justice or Merit mandates
that there should be a level playing field and all be allowed to choose the life of their
dreams or choice. Morality depends on the sensibilities of people and cannot be imposed.
Finally, what matters, is since Human Natures are not alike, hence their responses to
similar situations will not be identical. The Gods Will has always been on the side of those
who have been humane and patient as God dislikes tyranny of any kind and has counseled
people to develop a deterrent to safeguard the weak and the poor.
