How Much Did We Need?

In our Word of Life Quiet Times, weve recently been reading from the book of Judges. One of the central themes is
Israels downward spiral of sin. They would sin, then God would bring judgment through a pagan nation. They would cry
out for deliverance, and God would raise up a judge, who would deliver Israel from their oppressors. There would be a
period of godliness, the judge would die, and the cycle would begin againover and over!
This pattern recently made me think of our need for a Savior. We all get caught up in spirals of sin, repentance,
obedience, and back to sin. Jesus Christ is not simply our only means of salvation, He is also our model and pattern for
how to live outside of this spiralto live fully pleasing to God.
How much did we need? We needed a King, a Savior, a Redeemer, an Advocate, and ExampleGod answered our need -
Today in the City of David a Savior has been born to you. He is Christ the Lord! Luke 2:11

Fruit in the Midst of Change

This year our REVERB faced two changes: our location and date! How would these
changes affect our churches? God answered, and we had a great crowd made up of
students and leaders from 27 churches in five states. As the Gospel message was
shared, and the invitation given, 33 students made salvation decisions! It was all
totally worth it as we were able to see students respond to the gospel, and many
others took the challenge to share an evangelistic video with unsaved friends using
their phones! We heard of a church that paid for 10 unsaved students to attend
REVERB, and 5 of them responded to the Gospel message that night! Theyre
praising the Lord for the great harvest in their youth ministry!
Through the diligence of 77 workers, and the youth leaders and drivers who
brought the students, God worked and brought glory to Himself at REVERB!
