Summary of This study examines what the outcome will be if the parent and

different and having a positive or negative belief about school
can affect the involvement. In addition, it looks at how the

about their childs education and responsiveness of school and
family needs. The study shows that parents who have a higher
income are more likely to be more involved. Also, teachers who
talk face to face with parents are more likely to have parents

Summary of essential This journal talks about how fast technology is changing and
information: how it is playing a role in parent involvement. Children now are
called digital natives because they have known nothing but
technology. However, many parents and teachers know what
times without technology were like. However, in the journal it
explains that technology is not going anywhere. There are both
positives and negatives to technology, which is explained in the
article, and it is a part of the teachers job to teach how
technology should be presented. This journal talks about the
learning outcomes and how children are more engaged in
literacy with electronic vs. printed because of the features it has
such as sound. In addition, the journal talks about how important
it is for parents to model how to use technology for children. As
we know parents influence children and they need to show

Limiting children to only parts of a program can increase their understanding. It
is important to build basic skills early on so games can be used correctly.
