SYNOPSIS

The development of reliable fault compensation systems is critical for vehicle automation systems to become viable in the real world.
Since a malfunction on a highway vehicle can pose a grave danger to passenger safety, it is extremely important that the control
system should automatically detect malfunctions and take appropriate action for the safety of the vehicle. This project is aimed at
developing automatic braking ,Jogging ,Plugging On &Off Control. The block consists of keypad, keypad buffer ,Microcontroller
,Driver circuit, Array of relays ,for first Method. The block consists of Current Transformer ,precision Rectifier ADC, Microcontroller
,Driver circuit, Array of relays ,for second Method.Either one of the method can be only implemented.In method1 the keypad is for
selecting the options required by the user. The keypad consists of array of keys each for specific function like reverse, forward,
braking, on ,off. The output from the keypad is given to the Microcontroller .Here the Microcontroller used is 89c51.All the interfacing
are done through its I/O Lines. Depending upon the selection of the options made by the user the driver circuit which is used to
change the function of the motor .This is done by the array of relays that is for example the when the key for forward is switched on
the one of the relay which is connected to motor directs it to do the specified task this is done in such a way that is the three relays
which are connected in phase sequence RYB. The same implies for the other keys also .In reversing the phase sequence is reversed for
other three relays.Thus the reversing task is obtained. For Plugging reverse the reverse key is to identified followed by plugging
optionIn method2 the current transformer is used .The output is given to the shunt resistor were a variable AC output voltage can be
obtained which is given to the precision rectifier. Here the so obtained output is Dc voltage which is given to the ADC were the
conversions for the corresponding analog values takes place & digital output is obtained .In this method the main criterion is the
depending upon the voltage increase &decrease the particular task is performed. The output from the ADC is given to the
Microcontroller
