Strengths of the lesson:

Nice positive start


Good use of flashcards
Lots of positive feedback
Good pace, not too fast, not too slow
Very nice video
Teaching moment for injury well exploited
Children generally well-behaved and engaged
Good explanation and instructions
Very nice monitoring and keeping an eye on all the children

Areas for development:

Be very careful any time you are teaching phonics your pronunciation has to be perfect and
short vowel sounds are very difficult.
Ensure that all children stay sitting on their bottoms during circle time you need to tell
them they wont get chosen if they move around/get up/lean forward

Focus for next lesson:


When you finish circle time try and let them choose the activity they want to do activities should
be ready out on the tables and all you need to do is explain each activity.
Do not do activities which only involve a minority of children these need to be kept to an
absolute minimum and you need to do activities which give all children a chance to participate.

Completed lesson plan for every lesson, printed and available to MST and MCT upon request
Ensure lesson plans have sufficient detail to secure effective delivery
Lesson plans are linked to long range and unit plans only EYFS to develop
