I Do
Have 2 student volunteers. Ask 1 student to hold up the number 5, ask the
other student to hold up the number 3.
Ask which number is greatest, ask which is least.
Have another student hold up the number 1.
Ask if 1 is smaller or bigger than 3 and 5.
Show the students how to order from greatest to least and then least to

Provide each student a bag and pair them in either groups of 3 or 4.
Give them time to count how many blocks they each have in their bags.
When they are done counting, ask them to put their bags in order from least
to greatest.

order. They can stand up and tell us how many is in each bag, then get in the
correct order, either from least to greatest or greatest to least.
