Two five-week practicums for a bachelors of education, one in a Grade one classroom at Dr. Gerald B. Probe
Elementary School in Lethbridge, AB and the other in a grade three classroom at Burdett School in Burdett,
AB.
Position: Student teacher
Responsibilities: -supervision of students
-one on one aid for students
-teaching one third of the lessons during the five weeks
-planning and implementing lessons and activities for Math, Science, Computers, and
Language Arts
-assisted with extracurricular activities for students, such as choir, Christmas concerts,
etc.

One six-week practicum for a bachelors of education, teaching four different Grade 9 math classes and one
Grade 8 math class at St. Marys Junior High School in Medicine Hat, AB.
Position: Student Teacher
Responsibilities:
-Planning and preparing all units covered while there. This includes:
Grade 9: Solving Linear Equations and Multiplying and Dividing Polynomials
Grade 8: Solving Linear Equations and Multiplying and Dividing Integers
-Teaching those units to the students
-Providing any extra-help they may need, such as one-on-one help.
-Supervising students
-Assisting in any extra-curricular activities for the school (e.g. the school play)
-Observing parent-teacher interviews
One four-month long practicum for a bachelors of education, teaching three different Grade 8 math classes
and one Grade 7 math class at Raymond Junior High School in Raymond, AB.
Position: Intern Teacher
Responsibilities:
-Planning and preparing all units covered while there. This includes:
Grade 8: Multiplying and Dividing Integers, Multiplying and Dividing Fractions,
Critiquing Graphs, Solving Linear Equations, and Graphing Linear Relations
Grade 7: Cartesian Plane, Geometry and Measurement, Adding and Subtracting
Fractions, Operations with Decimals, and Fractions, Decimals, and Percents.
-Teaching those units to the students
-Providing any extra-help they may need, such as one-on-one help, creating separate
programs to accommodate for unique situations, organizing rewrites, etc.
-Modifying programs
-Creating IPPs
-Supervising students
-Coaching the Grade 8 girls volleyball team
-Participating fully in parent-teacher interviews
-Communicating and meeting with parents
-Participating in any Professional Development and Professional Learning Community
days

Executive Director of Volunteering for EUS Spring semester of 2017


I ran for and was elected by the education students of the University of Lethbridge to be the executive director
of volunteering for the Education Undergraduate Society at the U of L. My term for this position went from
January of 2017 to April of 2017.
Responsibilities: -finding and coordinating volunteer opportunities for education students
-working with the Lethbridge community and surrounding area to organize these
opportunities
-working with my fellow EUS executives to ensure that these opportunities take place
-notifying education students of these opportunities so that they can participate in them
-aiding any of my fellow EUS executives with their endeavors
Town of Strathmore Parks Department, Strathmore AB May to September of 2015, 2016, and 2017
Position: Horticulturist
Responsibilities: -general landscaping, such as weed whacking, hedge trimming, digging, weeding, raking,
turning mulch/soil, removal of any dead portions of plants, planting flowers/trees,
mulching, etc.
-inspection of playgrounds
-operating and maintaining a John Deer mower

Babysat for a variety of families with children ages infant to twelve years. Families usually consisted of two to
three children.

EDUCATION

-University of Lethbridge, September 2013 to present, fifth year Bachelors of Science majoring in Mathematics
with a minor in Physics and Bachelors of Education (Deans honours list in the last 4 years)
-WHMIS training taken in May 2015 through Town of Strathmore Parks Department
-Graduated Grade 12 with honours June 30, 2013 from Holy Cross Collegiate High School in Strathmore
